Ford E-350 w/7.3 diesel engine and automatic overdrive transmission.  We bought it from the turnpike commission - it was used to pick up toll booth money.  So all highway miles.  There is American Van interior shelving and a big Craftsman tool box - up against the OSHA screen.  We added some shelves on the passenger side too.

There are three ladder racks on the roof.  The batteries are new.  The tires are new.  The front brakes are new.  We used it as an HVAC/R service and installation truck and it was great for that.  Great to work out of and it will haul or tow Anything.

Good:  the front brakes and tires are brand new.  I forget the brand but maybe Generals.  The tires and brakes don't have 2000 miles on them.  The water pump, idler, and belt were replaced a few months ago.  The 7.3 always starts and runs like a watch.  I have another one with over 400K on it - might be 450K by now - and it doesn't even smoke.  The 7.3's all apparently run forever.

Bad:  the heater fan stopped working and one of the guys wired it to a manual switch to make it work.  I think that speed resistor widget is bad under the hood.  It went bad one time before.  Of course there are the normal working truck scratches and some rust by the wheel well.  It was supposed all supposed to be touched up right after Christmas but my friends body shop kept putting me off.  Funny they never had a problem demanding that I fix the paint booth heaters right away.  But for paybacks they like dragging their feet it seems.

Any questions just ask.

2015 Ford Mustang stars in bizarrely awesome '80s aerobics video

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

For reasons we can't comprehend, here's a music video starring the all-new, 2015 Ford Mustang and a number of dancers dressed and styled in the most stereotypically 1980s way possible. The dancers then take part in a male-versus-female dance off. Again, we've no idea why it exists.
It's weird, and for the second time in two weeks, we're sat at our computer wondering, "What are we watching?" That said, it does show the new Mustang from a number of angles, and it's one of the first car-related YouTube videos we've seen that's available in a 4K, ultra-high-def stream.
Take a look below, and let us know what you think in Comments.

Ford previews updated Police Interceptor Utility for Chicago debut

Tue, Feb 3 2015

With more law enforcement agencies across the United States alone than we'd care to count (or ever encounter), selling police cars means big business for American automakers, with Ford, Chevy and Dodge competing to fill the motorpools of every police department, sheriff's office and government agency in the land. For its part, Ford offers the Taurus-based Police Interceptor sedan and the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility, and it's preparing to unveil a revised version of the latter at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show in the same city where it's built. Dearborn hasn't given us much to go on with this teaser, showing just a darkened front shot of the vehicle in question with its emergency lighting all aglow. But it's fairly clear that the Interceptor Utility has been given many of the same updates applied recently to the Explorer on which it's based. That starts with the revised sheet metal, but considering that the Interceptor Utility exclusively packs V6 power, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four that was one of the biggest updates to the civilian Explorer isn't likely to carry over. Ford does, however, promise that the revised Police Interceptor Utility will be "even better" than the model it replaces" and pack "more high-tech features." Related Video:

2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.
