Up for sale today is my 1988 Ford E350 / F350 Ford Dually. This is a factory conversion truck that is extremely rare. This truck was built by Centurian Conversions and this model is called a "DREAMER". This is a very nice truck, there was one of these recently restored on Counting Cars at the Counts Customs shop and it cost $15,000 to restore it. This one is already done and it's beautiful. These trucks are about as heavy duty as they come, they were built on an ambulance chassis and they are very tough. The entire inside of the truck bed is made from plate steel and has been coated with some sort of Line-x type of coating.
There were very few of these made and this one is a true survivor. The paint is in excellent condition and the interior is very nice as well. The interior was completely redone about 4 years ago. At the time of the interior restoration there was also new engine also installed and it has approximately 5,000 miles on it since the replacement. The original engine had a Banks Turbo installed on it and a repair shop turned the boost up to high on it and ruined the original engine, forcing the replacement. The new engine is a 7.3 International Diesel. This truck is an automatic and it has an optional GEARING VENDORS OVERDRIVE kit installed on it. I haven't figured out how to get the overdrive to work though. I was told that when the new engine was installed the mechanic left something disconnected and it hasn't worked since. I'm guessing it's just a wire, but I'm not a diesel mechanic.
I had some needed repairs done due to the truck sitting for a while before I bought it (new injector lines, some A/C work, New Alternator, and a few more things). This truck should be good to go now.
I can tell you that this truck runs pretty well, as I recently drove it about 1,200 miles and it did very well and the AIR CONDITIONING WORKS. The Sleeper in the back is pretty comfortable for one person, but you might be able to sleep two if you snuggle. The captain chairs are comfortable with arm rests, recline and they even have a locking swivel base.
I bought this truck with the intention of starting an over the road hauling business when I was out of work. The day after I bought it though, I was called back to my old job, so now I have no use for a truck of this size. The bed of this truck is almost 10 ft. verses a standard 8 ft. truck bed.
This would be great for someone with a nice 5th Wheel Camper to tour the country with or for someone wanting to get started hauling cars or heavy trailers over the road. I'm sure the 92 GALLON auxiliary fuel tank will be very handy as well for those long cross country drives.
It has three trailer hitches... 16,000 Lb. 5th wheel, an in bed tag-along hitch, and the usual bumper trailer hitch.
All the tires are pretty new with very good tread.
Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
I do have a reserve on this auction, but it is below the $6,000 BUY IT NOW price. My buy it now price is almost exactly what I have invested in this truck. Thankyou for looking and happy bidding.

Bill Ford op-ed argues we can't just build and sell more of the same cars
Thu, 10 Jul 2014It's hardly a secret that the auto industry is undergoing an enormous, tectonic shift in the way it thinks, builds cars and does business. Between alternative forms of energy, a renewed focus on low curb weights and aerodynamic bodies, the advent of driverless and autonomous cars and the need to reduce the our impact on the environment, it's very likely that the car that's built 10 years down the line will be scarcely recognizable when parked next to the car from 10 years ago.
Few people are as able to explain the industry's many upcoming changes and challenges as clearly as William Clay Ford, Jr., better known as Bill Ford. The 57-year-old currently sits as the executive chairman of the company his great-grandfather, Henry Ford, founded over 110 years ago.
In an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Ford explains that the role of automakers is, necessarily, going to change to suit the needs of the future world. That means changing the view of not just the automobile, but the automaker. As Ford explains it, automakers will "move from being just car and truck manufacturers to become personal-mobility companies."
Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort
Fri, 24 May 2013Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
Ford spotted testing new Focus RS at the Nurburgring
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford is expected to be launching a revised version of the Focus ST soon, but the latest snapshots from our spy photographers at the Nürburgring suggest that the Blue Oval is already working on an even more potent example: the new Focus RS.
Though the partially disguised test mule is wearing an ST badge (along with a Dewey sticker that makes us wonder what adventures Huey and Louie are up to and what manner of duck-tail rear spoiler they may be wearing), there are several tell-tale signs that something else is afoot here. There's a larger front air dam, bigger brake calipers, dual exhaust tips (instead of the central exhaust on the ST) and a reshaped wing protruding from the trailing edge of the roof.
That may all be well and fine, but what's under the hood? We don't know yet for sure, but word has it that Ford is preparing to port over the 2.3-liter turbo four offered in the new Mustang, where it packs 305 horsepower and almost as much torque - potentially retuned to produce even more for the top-of-the-line Focus, which could channel it all to the front wheels like the last model or pack an all-wheel drive system. The Global C platform on which the Focus is based does, after all, also underpin AWD models like the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC.
