hello! last of my project type cars.kind of a cool old do want you want with car. restore all the way or do a budget car. i bought this 56 crown as the original color combo was great sunset coral and raven black with black and white interior. plus the body, even  a little battered and bruised, is pretty solid structurally for a start. the was built in california, made its way to florida and ended up in new jersey. it seemed that it was going to be or was a drag car, dont know if it ever made many trips. the frame had some modifications and the crossmember was bad,so i lifted the body off and rolled a mint cleaned and painted arizona frame under it. i cut the areas of the old frame with the matching serial numbers from the 56. they go with car to show it was a legitment frame change. it has an excelent running 272 with a 57 distributor, intake and 2bbl carb. it has a good 3 speed stick, shifts great. it has a freshly cleaned and tested radiator, a new gas tank and lines,  new wheel cylinders and excellent working emergency brake.it yard drives great with very good braking.  it is not charging correctly but lasts quite a while disconnecting the battery. i start it regularly and has no valve noise and runs strong. it was missing many parts that i knew i had to improve the car, specifically the crown parts. it has the correct 56 front seat backs with trim, sunvisor brackets, window flippers, and very nice inside tiara pieces.the original front and rear door panels with armrests and trim are still in very nice shape. i dont want to make it seem like its ready to go down the road, just that there is a very good basis on the mechanics.

as with most cars the work will be at the body. what is really good is all the body mounts are extremely solid, including the long trunk rail.the trunk floor is very decent. there are a few extra holes where a fuel cell was mounted. the rear trunk panel was very rusted. i trimmed it out, removed one from another car and have fitted in but not welded in. it needs some repair underneath but the outer skin is very nice. it will need lower inner and outer quarters on both sides. it has damage below the trim line on the left side. both side wheel wells a pretty decent. the left side rocker has rust at the lead joint seam that needs work. the left rocker is going underneath but the tops and face are fairly solid. inner rockers are very savable. the right side rocker is very solid. the cowl mounts arte very good. the left front floor is very savable. i had some old style floor pans for the right front and left rear, need welded in. it will need the full floor pan for the right rear.the need some rust outer rust repair but have very solid bottoms and seams.there is damage on the left side door and fender where the were jammed together at some point. the fenders are very solid, with minor typical rust at bottoms. very decent inner fenders, air tubes and panels behind headlights.there is some rust out in the roof at the back behind the mouldings, about 8 inches each side. it is an easy repair that will be hidden by the moulding. the gutters are not really affected. the chrome and stainless is all fair to good. the glass should be replaced all the way around.

the car is at the point where you need to make a decision on what level of a car you want. i have most bof the body bolts back in the car but it would be easier to pull it back off and do the sheetmetal repairs  and body work it needs. there are very few loose pieces as i have most parts at least rough attached. as they say think the worst ad be happy when its not. the pictures should give a good idea and i have more and will take more of your concerns.just ask. i dont use phrases like, it looks ok, or, seems to be. if you ask, i will tell you.  it is priced very fairly as i have 2 crowns painted and ready to put together. i do have storage for the car for 30 days but the car absolutely must be paid for in full within 7 days and deposit in 24 hours or i will move right along. overseas buyers fine, i will work with you. 0 and negatives contact me first. but it now maybe but not after 48 hours into auction and will be more than the reserve. thanks!

Ford's Troller introduces even more rugged T4 SUVs in Sao Paulo

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

The Bronco may be long gone from Ford dealerships back home, but down in Brazil its spirit lives on in the Troller brand. Founded independently in 1995, Ford do Brasil took over Troller in 2007 and has been teasing us with its rough-and-tumble SUVs ever since. So with the Sao Paulo Motor Show coming up, Troller has revealed this special version of the T4.
Looking even more rugged than the existing three-door sport-ute, this special T4 packs a snorkel, winch, upgraded bumpers and knobbier tires. We're not sure what to make of the "sophisticated" brown and tan paint job, but send it north and the Jeep Wrangler would have a new challenger on its hands... especially since the Toyota FJ Cruiser was discontinued.
Alongside the version seen here, Troller will also exhibit another T4 outfitted for rescue workers. Scope out initial details of both in the press release below, enclosed in both its original Portuguese and auto-translated into English.

Mustang parts under the new Lincoln Aviator mean good things for Ford

Wed, Mar 28 2018

NEW YORK — As we mentioned last night, underneath the new Lincoln Aviator "concept" there appears to be an independent rear suspension lifted right from the Ford Mustang parts bin. And while it's pretty cool on its face that Mustang rear-drive platform bits are being reused in the broader Ford universe, what this means for the next Explorer could be really cool. A quick caveat: The Aviator here in New York is very close to the production version, but it's not technically a production car. It looks hand-built, with temporary exhaust and some show-car touches. The suspension underneath looks exactly like a Mustang's, but the actual production Aviator will almost certainly use beefier components with the same basic design and geometry, since the Aviator will be much heavier than the smaller Mustang. That being said, we're fairly confident that even at this early stage, the Mustang-derived suspension seen in New York is a preview of what'll be under the production Aviator. Furthermore, Ford won't say it, but based on what we're seeing on Aviator, it's a safe bet that Ford will utilize the Aviator platform for the next Explorer. That would enable the economies of scale necessary to produce a brand new rear-drive-based SUV platform in the first place. It also means that the Explorer should be available without AWD — and given the stable of powerful EcoBoost engines, and the competent 10-speed automatic in the parts bin, a rear-drive Explorer has a shot at being a decent driver. Aviator wouldn't go rear-drive-based if driving dynamics weren't important; Explorer should inherit these priorities. More evidence: The Explorer spy shots we saw back in February sure share the Aviator's general proportions. Even back then, before Aviator was revealed, we were hypothesizing that an EcoBoost 3.5-liter-powered version could boast as much as 400 horsepower, if the Expedition's tune were adopted. Suddenly, the Explorer seems very interesting. So, an EcoBoost, rear-drive Explorer sure sounds like something Ford Performance would be interested in, right? We knew an Explorer ST is coming, but with 365-400 horsepower potential and a chassis designed with dynamics in mind, it doesn't seem like as much of a stretch as the Edge ST. And a performance-oriented AWD system is a possibility, too. That's an area where Ford has been gathering experience at a rapid pace. What do we not expect from a new Explorer? A V8.

2016 Ford Explorer order guide revealed

Wed, Jan 21 2015

The configurator for the refreshed 2016 Ford Explorer is already up and running. However, if you're the type of person that really likes to dig into the nitty-gritty of a vehicle's features, then the order guide for this latest Ford is now available (pictured right). While the documents don't list fuel economy, engine power or pricing, they give a precise idea of all of the differences separating each of the five trim levels: Base, XLT, Limited, Sport and Platinum. In addition to the tweaked styling across the board, even the Base model now features a rearview camera with a washer. There are also three new colors available: Shadow Black, Blue Jeans Metallic and Guard Metallic. Base, XLT and Limited trims are available with either a 3.5-liter V6 or new, optional 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. All of them are mated to a six-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is optional with either engine. The new Platinum trim basically loads the Explorer up with everything imaginable. Power comes from the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, matched with all-wheel drive. Plus, the Platinum trim gets standard luxuries like a dual-pane moonroof, adaptive cruise control, a premium sound system and Ford's super-soft Nirvana Leather covering the seats. There are also some new tech features throughout the rest of the lineup. For example, an updated auto-parking system is also available on the Limited but comes standard on the Platinum. Furthermore, a 180-degree front camera and second-row USB charging are optional on the Sport but are standard on the Limited and Platinum. Check out the gallery for even more of the changes.
