This is a very nice original rust free blue plate Bronco Sport that I purchase back in 2008 from the 2nd Owner in Visalia, CA.  He was an elderly gentleman that painted it CAMO and used it for his hunting rig until he was unable to climb it/out and purchased a Polaris to replace it.  He had the transmission rebuilt just prior to selling it to me.  I repainted it in/out with Satin Black and installed new

33" x 12" teflon coated wheels that have 33 x12 Goodyear Wrangler Dura Wall Puncture Resistant tires all around including the spare.

I then literally bought everything it needed and a little more from "Wild Horses" a company in Vallejo that specializes in vintage Bronco parts. Some of the big ticket items included; Best Top Super Soft Top, Corbeau Sport Seats that recline, Dakota Digital Dash, Heavy Duty Steel Gas Tank and Steel Center Storage Compartment with arm rest, cup holders and interior compartment to house stereo, Heavy Duty Bumpers and light bar, Aluminum Radiator, Edelbrock Manifold, Carburator and front disc brakes, interior door panels diamond plate rocker panels and rear bed liner, fiberglass hood and scoop to accommodate air cleaner as well as the cool molded door frame inserts that we use in summer.  I also had a Johnny Franklin's muffler shop install a new set of headers with a custom duel exhaust that they fitted to come out through rear bumper notch outs.  There are simply way too many other things to list that you will hopefully notice in some of the pictures.

SInce I am not a mechanic, I paid PERFORMANCE DRIVETRAIN to install everything I bought and do any and all work that was required...and they did everything to the highest possible standard. NOTE: I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL HARD TOP which was removed and replaced with the soft top, but it never got repainted...so it's still CAMO.  I also have the original bumpers and all body trim as well as the rear bench seat.

In aggregate, I have easily spent well over $ 35,000.00 for the truck, parts and work performed.  It has less than 1,500 miles, starts and runs solid.  There are two very small minor paint chips/scratches and a small indentation in the rear tailgate from the factory installed spare tire rack..  I recently noticed that it has developed a minor oil leak coming from below looks like it might be coming from the main seal.  I am ready to let it go and have put it up for sale with a starting bid that easily amounts to 33% less than what I have in it, with "No Reserve".  Currently the Bronco is with us at our second home in Las Vegas, but we and it originated from Northern California.  It can either be picked up here in Las Vegas or I may be willing to deliver it back to Nor Cal but will need $ 500.00 to cover U-HAUL trailer rental from here to there.  Since I travel up there once a month, I wouldn't mind hauling it on my next trip for a buyer located in that area.  If you have any questions, send an email and I'll do my best to get back promptly.

New autonomous testing ground in Michigan will help battle bad weather

Thu, Dec 14 2017

If one of the big weaknesses of autonomous vehicles is their ability to navigate in the snow, consider this a trial by fire. The American Center for Mobility says it has opened its $110 million driverless car testing facility on the site of a former General Motors assembly plant in Michigan, with Toyota and auto supplier Visteon the first to begin testing this week. The ACM proving ground is a 500-acre site at historic Willow Run in Ypsilanti Township, near Ann Arbor. It's one of 10 sites designated by the U.S. Department of Transportation as pilot proving ground sites to test AV technologies. It features a variety of simulated environments to test driverless cars, including a 2.5-mile highway loop, two double overpasses, intersections, roundabouts and a 700-foot curved tunnel. It also opens just as the region experiences a series of snowstorms and the first frigid temperatures of the season. That ability to test autonomous vehicles in a wide variety of weather conditions is important, as autonomous vehicle sensors have struggled to handle cold, wet and snowy conditions. Google parent Alphabet in October said its Waymo division was expanding its winter testing operations to Michigan, making it the sixth state where it's testing its driverless car systems. In a Medium blog post, Waymo CEO John Krafcik wrote that "This type of testing will give us the opportunity to assess the way our sensors perform in wet, cold conditions. And it will also build on the advanced driving skills we've developed over the last eight years by teaching our cars how to handle things like skidding on icy, unplowed roads." Waymo also opened a development center in suburban Detroit in 2016, working with Fiat Chrysler to integrate its autonomous technology into Chrysler Pacifica hybrid minivans. Visteon began testing and validating its DriveCore autonomous driving platform to evaluate algorithms, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure technology and other systems. Toyota used the facility Wednesday to begin orientation and driver training. ACM has so far secured $110 million to construct the first two phases from founders Ford, Hyundai America Technical Center, Toyota and Visteon, and says it expects to announce more investment soon.

Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.
