1972 Ford Bronco Sport 4x4 Original Paint And Interior on 2040-cars
Longmont, Colorado, United States
|
This could be one of the nicest broncos around that has not been all rusted out or abused, the only rust I can find is in the left rocker and can easily be cut out and welded in, 1972 351 windsor with 1986 four speed transmission, 1976 tranfer case and drive shafts, 411 gears, yukon 31 spline axles, timken bearings,true-trac rear diff, open front, power steering, new alternator, dual hoop shocks, dual batteries, 4 core radiator, 23 gallon gas tank with electric fuel pump, brand new wheels and 315-70-17 tires.
The body is the nicest body I have seen, original paint that is in very nice shape for being 40 years old, interior still has original mat on the floor, seats appear to be original and in very good condition, showing 33,000 miles and last owner thought it was original miles, last owner has owned this bronco for over 30 years and said the top has never been off. Buy with confidence I put a plenty of pictures showing the underside and any rust. |

How Ford secretly used customers to test its aluminum F-150 [w/video]
Fri, 30 May 2014Automakers getting clever about disguising development vehicles isn't anything new. Between mules wearing the sheetmetal of other cars and prototypes decked out in as much camouflage as is practical, automakers know how to make it very difficult for the general public to get an exact idea of what kind of vehicle is in development. Ford, though, is rapidly becoming the master.
We knew that the Blue Oval originally tested the durability of the aluminum construction being used for the 2015 F-150 by building an all-aluminum 2014 truck and entering it in the Baja 1000 off-road race. That's no longer a secret. What we didn't know, though, is that the aluminum development dates back to before even that, and that some of the people in question had no idea what it was they were working with.
Ford says this is the first time prototypes have ever been handed over to the public.
Ford cleans up painting process with cameras
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Knowing how the bacon gets made rarely entices us and, in the same vein, the same usually goes for knowing about how new cars get painted. But in both instances, however, quality - or a lack thereof - is instantly obvious. In terms of the latter, Ford is showing off its new paint quality process with 3D Dirt Detection Technology to find imperfections in vehicle paint more easily and more quickly.
This process - being performed on the F-150 SVT Raptor above - uses 16 computer-controlled cameras to create a three-dimensional model (inset) of the vehicle to detect flaws in the paint including dirt particles, which can then be buffed out manually. Ford says this new technology cuts down on time spent looking for paint flaws and gives workers more time to correct those that are discovered.
Currently, Ford only uses its 3D Dirt Detection Technology system at three factories (the Dearborn, MI facility, along with those in Louisville, Kentucky and Valencia, Spain), but it will soon spread to five more plants in North America. Ford has released a video and press release for this innovative and unexpectedly interesting process, both of which are posted below.
