Up for auction is a very nice 70' T-Bird which was a 1-owner California car for 37 yrs. I purchased the car from the second CA. owner two years ago and had it shipped back east. The body is very straight and is completely rust free. Car has not recently been patched and painted to conceal rust and there is no "bubbling" high or low. Older repaint retains a nice gloss which does show some wear with one softball sized area high up on the rear quarter panel where the paint is cracking (see photo). Original 429 runs good with 88k on the odometer. Original trans shifts firmly with no lag between shifts but does have a leak around the pan. Original interior is in very good cond. with no tears in the seats (see photos), Carpet and headliner are also nice.The dash pad has a crack in the typical location as most (see photo). All of the glass including the windshield is original and displays the oval car-lite emblems. The two front windows work but, the pass. window goes down halfway and starts to bind and one of the sm. rear windows does not work. Michelin tires are in good cond. Brakes are soft but, well capable of stopping the car. There are no charging issues as the car has sat for weeks with no need to recharge system. The clock does not work but, I'm including a nos clock nib with the sale. FM 8track is not connected. This very nice all original with one repaint car is well suited for someone who would like to drive and enjoy now while taking care of some mechanical issues in time. I have set a low reserve. 2014 Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost to hit 45 mpg for $16,445*

When Ford first announced its plan to put the 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine under the hood of the 2014 Fiesta, it promised hybrid-like fuel economy without a hybrid-like premium. We're still waiting for official specs on this engine, but thanks to the EPA's fueleconomy.gov website and Ford's retail site, we now know what customers can expect in terms of both fuel economy and price.
All along, Ford has said that it expects the 1.0-liter EcoBoost to get more than 40 miles per gallon on the highway, and now the EPA backs this up with official ratings of 32 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. These numbers are an increase of two mpg city and four mpg hwy compared to the current fuel-sipping Fiesta (the 1.6 SFE), and it also beats other three-cylinder cars for highway mileage like the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage (44 mpg highway) and 2014 Smart Fortwo (38 mpg highway); the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost is lower than both three-pot rivals, though, in city fuel economy with the Mitsubishi getting 37 mpg city and the Smart rated at 34 mpg city. This model handily beats high-volume small cars like the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and Chevy Spark in both city and highway numbers.
As for pricing, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered on both the sedan and hatchback as a $995 option called the SE Manual EcoBoost package, which is aptly named since it's only offered on SE trim-level Fiestas equipped with a manual transmission. Along with the engine, the package also comes with 15-inch steel wheels, regenerative brakes and a decklid spoiler on the sedan. This means the four-door Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost will start at $16,445*, or $17,045* for the hatchback (*not including $795 for destination).

Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
