I need to sell this car before winter hits even though I will be sad to see it go. This is a 1960 Ford Thunderbird with an automatic transmission. I bought this car a few years ago with the intention of restoring her. She is ready to be restored to mint condition. The body is STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. There is NO RUST on the under body and only a small rust spot on the rear passenger side lower panel, just rear of the fender well; it is the size of a quarter. The body is a 9 of 10. Paint is the original color and shows age (worn away in some spots and mostly dull). As I intended to restore her, I initially stared working on her mechanically. The entire front end has recently been taken apart, cleaned, inspected and lubed. She got 2 new ball joints and a bit of honing on both front wheel cylinders. When we checked the rear wheel cylinders they were in good shape. The entire breaking system has been combed through. The drums (front and rear) are in great shape with no warp and the shoes have good lift left on them. The brake line to the two rear wheels is a new single line not spliced. I was told by the previous owner that the master cylinder had recently been rebuilt so assume it has been rebuilt in the past 4 years. The car has had a complete tune-up in the last 1000 miles and all fluid levels were checked and all were in line where they should be including the differential. The carburetor is a Holly that is a 4 barrel which is dialed all the way down. My mechanic says it is a bit too big for the car. The motor is not original but was a Ford 352 that has been bored to a 380 and rebuilt. I do not know when the motor was rebuilt. Transmission is a not stock C6 that is in perfect working condition. Nothing is wrong with the car mechanically besides a small crack in the passenger side exhaust manifold. The odometer states somewhere around 90,000 and I would assume by the condition of the car that the car itself only has 90,000 miles on it but I am not sure. The Exhaust system is newer. The lock for the doors is the same key as the ignition and I have two keys for that. There is a separate key for the trunk and I believe one other key that may be for the glove box. The interior is in above average condition for its age and all the parts that go with the interior come with the car even though they may not be installed (basically just trim pieces). The only thing that is missing is the original switch for the heat/defrost. I had the tracks moved back for the passenger seat and new tracks made for the driver seat so the seats can go back farther. Power driver seat does work as well as all of the lights, high beams, interior lights and horn. The car has air conditioning which is not original and when it was added they put in a different heat/air switch. I have not tried the heat or the air conditioning because I drive the car with the windows down and I have never driven it when it is cold out. Tires have good tread but are old and I would recommend replacing them. I have the original window sticker and bill of sale for the car which shows the options the car came with. The car was sold in the northeast but I was told by the previous owner is spent most of its life in the Mesa, AZ. I've got more than $10,000 in the car but I have no garage for her for winter. $6000 will buy her. $500 non refundable is due within 48 hours of auction end through paypal.

Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.
Ford dealer loses Super Bowl bet, pays $300K to lucky customers [w/video]
Tue, 11 Feb 2014A Missouri Ford dealership's Super Bowl weekend sale cost it big when the improbable happened. Hutcheson Ford ran a promotion from January 29 to February 1, called the Super Weekend Sale. The gist was, if any customer purchased a vehicle between those dates and either the opening or second-half kickoff of the big game was returned for a touchdown, the dealership would refund the purchase price.
In the dealership's defense, it seemed like a safe bet. According to the mathematicians, there was just a 2.5-percent chance of either half opening with a touchdown return. But that didn't stop Seattle's Percy Harvin from doing his part to ruin Denver's evening, returning the second-half kick for an 87-yard touchdown run. Twelve Hutcheson customers were eligible for refunds thanks to the return, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $55,000, according to Automotive News. The total amount shelled out by the dealership? $300,000.
"At least we're not like that furniture guy that lost $7 million," dealership marketing manager Kathleen Frazier told AN. We think it was a big success." The dealership did take out insurance to cover its losses, meaning the $300K won't come entirely from its pockets.
How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
