1998 Ford Ranger. This is an automatic 2.5 litre 4 cylinder. Mileage is 197,800, not bad for 16 years old, works out to be 12,500 a year. Tires are brand new and a new transmission was installed a year ago. I also just put a new radiator in for preventative measures. NTW looked it over when the tires were put on and said the everything lloked fine. The paint is original and it shines very nice as it has been garaged its whole life, and there is no rust since it is a Georgia truck. The body is arrow straight, I dont think its ever been in a wreck. There is a small dent in the left lower quarter panel, and a few dings on top of the bed. The tailgate has some paint chips, and the body does have some chips here and there, but in my opinion it looks pretty good for its age. The interior is clean and the dash isnt cracked. The armrest lock is broken and the driver seat has a slight tear in one corner where the foam padding has pressed down. I tried to get a photo of this as best as possible. The Air conditioning does not work in it, apparently it needs a dryer motor, but the heat blows just fine. The toolbox is included and has doors on both sides. The reason I am selling is because I have 2 other trucks and the wife says I don't need 3 of them LOL. I have done my best to describe the truck as honest as possible and it will make a great vehicle for the buyer. $500 non refundable deposit at auction close and the remaining can be paid in cash when the item is picked up. I can deliver within a 50 mile radius if needed.

Ford paying $750 million just to close plant in Belgium

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

According to a report from Reuters, Ford is shelling out $750 million in a severance deal that will see the automaker close its facility in Genk, Belgium. The automaker reached this deal with the 4,000 hourly workers employed at the plant last week, which means the company will pay out an average of $187,500 per worker.
Ford is still negotiating with the 300 salaried workers at the factory, which currently produces the Mondeo sedan. All told, Ford expects to lose around $2 billion in Europe thanks in no small part to the region's ongoing economic downturn, and two more plants are scheduled to be shut down in Europe this year. The company will log its $750 million payout under "special items" for this quarter.
As you may recall, Ford took a similar path in the US back in 2009 when the domestic market took a spill. Back then, the company shelled out around $50,000 per employee with at least one year of experience, plus either $25,000 toward a new car or an extra cash payment of $20,000. It would seem the cost of closing plants in Belgium is a much harder pill to swallow than in the States...

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.
