This is a project I HATE to sell but here it is... your chance to have the most unique rat around!

For starters is a late 40s cab.  It has had 4 inches cut out of the bottom of the cab and doors to work with the custom frame from DPI Derby Parts.  The side windows are gone, but the front and rear glass is usable.  The patina on this cab is awesome and shows a few different colors through its years of wear.  Dent wise it is fairly straight making for a great start to this unique creation.  The floors still need finished

Frame.  Was built to resemble a modified I-Beam using 1/4 inch by 3'' flat bar on the top and bottom then staggered 3 inch schedule 40 tubing and plates cut to fit were welded between to create a see though look running the length of the frame.  The frame is narrow in the front to fit snug to a seriously cool 1935 Oldsmobile straight 8 257CI engine.  At the firewall the frame splits and runs out to follow the outside of the door skins that can still be seen when the doors are shut!  The rear section of the frame runs back straight and flat for an axle-over frame setup.  The front frame section has been Z'd up almost 7 inches and mounts for the engine are welded in place.  The frame is 90% done but still needs some welding as some sections are still just tacked and it needs some grinding to clean it up.

Engine.  1935 Oldsmobile Straight 8 out of the same year hurse.  The engine was running in the car two years ago and was removed for a resto mod project where it was wrapped in several layers of plastic.  It is 100% complete and turns freely.  I have opened the valve covers on the side of the engine and everything looks beautiful.  I have found and bought a NOS mechanical fuel pump for it that is an awesome piece of engineering and a new distributor cap.  I also have three Holley 94 single barrel carbs for it that I was going to build a log intake for.  I do still have the original exhaust and intake manifodls as well as the Stromberg 1bbl on it.  The starter is still a 6v unit but can be converted to 12v, the generator will need rebuilt or replaced.  The transmission is a three speed with the starter on the floor, it sat outside and is stuck but would be a simple rebuild as there is only a few bearings in it and quite simple.

The front axle is a '37 ford truck axle with a complete new Speedway front disc brake kit.  I also have new radius arm bolts, steering arms, stop nuts that have not been installed yet.  The rear axle is a ford 9 inch and I also have a complete disc brake conversion for it also. I have a set of straight rust free 17x4.5 1935 ford wire wheels and two sets of adapters from Rally America that mount the wire wheels on a disc brake conversion.  I also have some cool old V8 stamped center caps for the wheels that are pretty dented up.

Here is a list of things I have that have not been mentioned that go with this truck

1932 STAINLESS grille shell

NEW QA1 big body shocks

NEW shock bractets

NEW vega steering box

New vega pitman arm

New speedway steering arms

Vintage 1940's Pyrene fire extinguisher ( Rad overflow)

front ford spring

 NEW shock shackle kit

2 2009 cbr 600f4i rear coil over shocks/springs

18 gallon air tank from a semi trailer for fuel tank

This is the start to one of the most bad ass rides I could dream up.  This truck is not far from being finished and I hate to sell it but need the money for an investment that cant wait.  I do have an old bed that I believe is an international bed that is red that will be sold with the truck.  I have 100's of pictures of the frame build that I can text.  Just give me a call and I will answer any questions you may have.  Good luck on a chance to win a special project!

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.

Even Ford executives had issues with MyFord Touch

Fri, Oct 7 2016

MyFord Touch is one of the auto industry's more controversial features. The media broadly panned the infotainment system developed with Microsoft for its slow responses and reliance on voice commands to navigate its deep menus. Oh, and Ford executives weren't big fans, either. Newly revealed court documents in a California class-action lawsuit demonstrate the level of venom Ford employees, both big and small, reserved for the Blue Oval's infotainment system. An error caused Bill Ford's navigation system to crash, leaving the family scion stuck on the side of the road in an unfamiliar area. The documents, unearthed by Forbes, detail current CEO Mark Fields' aggravations with MFT, too. A mechanic emailed an image of a cracked infotainment screen on an Edge to one of Ford's top Sync engineers, Kenneth Williams, suggesting "Mark Fields may have been a little aggravated with the system." But Ford and Fields' issues are nothing compared to the woes of the engineers that had to work on MFT. In a collection of emails obtained by Forbes, one engineer called the system "a polished turd," while another simply said, "These poor customers." And after one engineer suggested using a photo of Ford's Oakville Assembly Plant – home of the Edge, Flex, Lincoln MKX, and MKT production – as a background for the system, one of his coworkers said in an email that someone should instead Photoshop the image to read "abandon hope all ye who enter here," the Detroit News reports. Another summed up the problem, saying: "Ford's quality reputation is completely on the line ... another model year with the same crap is not acceptable." MyFord Touch almost single-handedly torpedoed Ford's reputation in widely reported quality metrics, including JD Power and Consumer Reports. Ford responded with a refreshed Sync3, a wildly improved rethink of its infotainment system that is far more responsive and easier to live with every day.
