If you're looking for an early Ford Pickup that needs absolutely nothing...................here it is!!! This is a "get in, drive and enjoy" vehicle that runs very well and comes completely finished.
This 1949 F-1 1/2 ton pickup has been fully frame-on restored. Recent additions to this gorgeous truck include paint, a new wood bed and side rails, new wide white radial tires, re-chromed vent window frames, front and rear chrome bumpers, stainless steel front grill and taillight assemblies, painted wheels, hubcaps, trim rings and tailgate chains. A dual exhaust system was installed exiting the rear of the truck with chrome tailpipe extensions.
As you can see from the pictures, the interior is like new with modern gauges, a beautifully upholstered front seat, a new steering wheel, great interior paint and chrome and a new stainless steel rear view mirror.
Under the hood we start with great running flathead in a fully detailed engine compartment, a conversion to 12 volt, a new battery with disconnect, a new starter, electric fuel pump, fuel filter, pressure regulator, new carburetor, petronix electronic ignition and an aluminum radiator.
This great truck starts on the first bump of the starter and runs like a new car. It goes down the road straight and true and handles extremely well. No expense has been spared on the frame-on restoration and it shows. This is probably one of the nicest drivers we have seen in a long time. This great truck is also being listed on other websites and therefore we reserve the right to end the auction at any time should we receive another suitable offer.
Just a note: mileage listed is incorrect. Site would not allow the use of the word "exempt" since true mileage is unknown. Engine runs extremely well and by all standards, it appears to have been rebuilt but we can not verify same and want to be totally honest about all of the information we give out.
If you would like to discuss any aspects of the fine truck you can contact me at 585-314-8000. Thanks, Brian Page

Here's the new face of the Ford Ranger
Thu, Nov 27 2014Ford Asia Pacific has put a teaser video on YouTube showing off details on the 2015 Ranger pickup, and at the end we get a quick glimpse of the whole truck. This is the T6 Ranger that we still don't get in North America, but that shares its underpinnings with the Everest SUV recently introduced at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. The Ranger gets a chunkier front end than the Everest, identified by its grille with three floating slats, reminiscent of designs on the previous F-150, and a less-stylized lower front bumper. Ford says it will be smarter, safer, smoother and stronger, but we'll have to wait for its reveal to find out what that means. Meanwhile, you can admire its new looks in the video below.
Ford, Petty's Garage to build limited-edition Mustang GT from SEMA Show
Fri, Feb 20 2015The customized vehicles on display at the annual SEMA Show are often just there to exhibit a company's wares. They are more an illustration of what's possible by picking the right bits out of a catalog, rather than a model available in complete form. Ford and Petty's Garage are doing something a little different, though, by putting a very limited run of the tuner's supercharged Mustang GTs up for order through Blue Oval dealers. The Petty's Garage Mustang GT made its debut with a host of other modded 'Stangs at the 2014 SEMA Show. It featured a blue-and-black two-tone paint job and a supercharged version of the pony car's V8 under the hood. Just 143 of them are now being offered to customers – 100 in Stage 1 trim and 43 in Stage 2 form. At a starting price of $62,210, Stage 1 buyers get the aggressive body kit from the show car, including a center-exit exhaust at the rear, trunk lip spoiler and a set of 20-inch wheels. Although the real meat of the setup is a supercharger, cold air intake and retuned engine calibration also help take the output up to 627 horsepower. Inside, customers get "The King" Richard Petty's signature on the dashboard. Shelling out $92,210 for the Stage 2 version adds bigger brakes from Wilwood, HRE three-piece wheels and the two-tone paint job from the SEMA show car. The boosted Mustangs can be ordered from Ford dealers, but at least one of the Stage 2 versions is already sold. Rocker and car enthusiast Brian Johnson of AC/DC bought the first one. "We received a tremendous amount of positive feedback about our Petty's Garage Mustang GT displayed at the SEMA show," said Jeff Whaley, Petty's Garage COO.
MotorWeek remembers pre-EcoBoost Ford with the Thunderbird TurboCoupe
Thu, Feb 26 2015Sometimes it feels great to embrace nostalgia for a trip down memory lane, and MotorWeek indulges that occasional desire with its regular Retro Review series. This time, the long-lived show goes back to the '80s to check out two of the top performance vehicles in the Ford lineup at the time – the 1987 Thunderbird TurboCoupe and Mustang GT. Both models had just received thorough refreshes after several years on the market. Long before an EcoBoost badge ever met its models, Ford made early forays into experimenting with turbocharging on vehicles like the T-Bird TurboCoupe. Based on MotorWeek's assessment, the company was on the right track. The boosted 2.3-liter four-cylinder was apparently a bit coarse but offered 190 horsepower with little turbo lag, compared to 155 hp the year before. The Mustang GT is likely the more-fondly remembered of these performance Fords today and provides an interesting point of comparison against the TurboCoupe. MotorWeek found some faults with the 'Stang, though. While it was quick for the time with a sprint to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, the 'car was described as "a nose-heavy beast" for its handling. And for a look at Ford's future in turbocharging – the GT will have an EcoBoost powerplant – check out our Related Video:
