2012 Ford Mustang Roush Rs3 Hyper on 2040-cars
Holly Ridge, North Carolina, United States
|
This ROUSH RS3 Hyper edition is number 15 of 25 of the Hyper series. Came stock from the ROUSH factory with 540 HP. One year ago it was upgraded with the Phase II upgrade kit (from ROUSH including cold air intake, smaller pulley with belt, and reprogram on the computer) boosting the power to 625 HP and 525ft-lbs torque as advertised by ROUSH. This car pulls and is a dream to drive. You won't be disappointed driving this machine. This RS3 comes from the ROUSH factory with upgraded body and interior styling. Beyond the ROUSH addition of the deck-lid spoiler, side rocker splitters, billet grill, ROUSH leather seating, upgraded exhaust (which you definitely need to hear to appreciate), performance pedals, and the yellow accents, it also has ROUSH badging indicating it as number 15 of 25 as well as a professionally installed window tint on the rear, side quarter, driver, and passenger windows. Recently replaced the original brake rotors with newer, larger rotors from ROUSH. Meticulously taken care of and always taken in for scheduled maintenance. Driven typically as a funday driver and still lots of tread left on tires (reference the low miles). Only notable blemish is a small door ding on passenger side rear panel. Eye catching ride that gets CONTINUOUS compliments and I can't overstate the amazing exhaust note and power. ROUSH definitely knows what they're doing and you'll be very pleased driving this vehicle. Just wait until you feel the car in 2nd/3rd gear with the pedal to the floor and hear the wine of the blower...

2015 Ford S-Max adds all-wheel drive, adaptive steering
Fri, 03 Oct 2014The Blue Oval's 'One Ford' mantra has seen rapid commonization of the automaker's products across markets, but North America still has to look from afar at most of the company's Max-branded people movers, including this new S-Max. That's a bit of a shame - we like the space efficiency and above-average driving dynamics of the C-Max models we do get, but seeing this updated seven-seat small minivan makes us want the One Ford initiative to extend even further.
The new model's changes include an updated powertrain range including a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four with 158 horsepower, and a larger, 237-horsepower, 2.0-liter model, along with a pair of revised lower-emissions 2.0-liter diesels. The big news, however, is the advent of available all-wheel drive, something that hasn't been offered since the S-Max first went on sale back in 2006.
On the technology front, the S-Max is the first European model to receive Ford Adaptive Steering, a variable-ratio technology we recently sampled in a prototype Fusion that is expected to go into production on the next-generation Edge. The S-Max also receives a new aluminum-intensive integral link rear suspension, packaged to continue to fit up to 32 different seating combinations. Safety equipment is always a prime concern in kinschleppers like the S-Max, and to that end, this new model receives pre-collision assist technology and LED headlamps.
Fields 'required' to use private aircraft, could make $5.25M as Ford CEO this year
Thu, 03 Jul 2014Mark Fields' travels on the friendly skies will soon be a relatively personal affair, as the new CEO at Ford will be required to resume air travel via the company's private planes. Fields caught plenty of flak in 2007 for flying on the company's dime to visit his family in Florida. He's since flown commercial.
According to Ford spokesperson Susan Krusel, who spoke to Bloomberg, Fields (pictured above right, with Bill Ford, Jr. at center and Alan Mulally at left) will switch to private travel "for safety and to maximize his availability for company business." In addition to his new travel arrangements, the 53-year-old exec's salary and bonuses have been revealed.
Regulatory filings by Ford revealed that Fields, whose first day in the big chair was July 1, will receive a base salary this year of $1.25 million and he'll be eligible for $3.5 million in bonuses, both of which are lower than Alan Mulally's $2 million salary and $5.88 million in bonuses received last year. That's also lower than General Motors CEO Mary Barra's alleged $1.6-million salary and considerably less than Sergio Marchionne's $3.19-million fixed salary from Fiat. Despite falling short of other CEOs, Fields' new pay still represents a 33-percent increase over his pay as Chief Operating Officer.
Ford Australia goes miniature with Beachkhana 1.0 video
Tue, Mar 3 2015Ken Block's Gymkhana franchise may have started with Subaru, but it's most closely associated with Ford, which the rally star joined way back in 2010. That fruitful partnership has spawned a number of Gymkhanas, and Block even showed up to help introduce the new Focus RS. To honor this, Ford Australia has come up with an adorable parody (for lack of a better word), starring the hero Sun Block. Rather than a full-scale rally Fiesta piloted by a Vegemite-munching Aussie, though, Ford of Oz has gone tiny for its tribute. Really tiny. The product is Beachkhana 1.0 – Wild on the Beaches of Australia, is a funky little stop-motion feature using tiny, 1:43-scale cars in much the same manner as Mr. Block drives his Fiesta rally car. It even pokes some fun at Mercedes-Benz's hilarious Magic Body Control ad. Check it out.
