The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This low mile vehicle was adult owned, garaged, and has been babied it's entire life. Bought here in June of 2010 and recently traded back in here by its original owner - it is in truly excellent condition. Tires and wheels are blemish free. No scratches, no blemishes, no rock chips, and all the glass is pristine. Convertible top exhibits miniscule areas where the interior frame has caused the exterior to outline the frames location - this typically occurs even on brand new vehicles after one or two operations of the top."

This vehicle has been pampered. The one owner Mustang GT Premium Convertible is absolutely loaded. This is truly an excellent condition vehicle. Adult owned and operated, it has been garaged its entire life.

Enjoy the leather heated seats as your cruise along with your favorite tunes playing from your 6 disc in-dash changer. The moment the sun shines, you pull over and lower the convertible top at the press of a button. Neighbors are envious as you purr back into the garage... if only they had a convertible.  Retro style with the Grabber Blue pony car is the definition of throwback. The motor growls and EVERYONE makes performance goodies for the modular Ford 4.6 Liter 3 valve power plant V-8. The stout 5 speed transmission will delivery great acceleration when it fits the mood... and solid fuel economy when you can keep your foot out of it.

The car has passed a comprehensive inspection by our factory trained technicians and is backed by the balance of Ford's Factory Powertrain Limited Warranty for the balance of the five year / 60,000 miles of coverage. The car was originally sold in June of 2010.  I would predict years of hassle free enjoyment. This car was serviced and maintained here at Price Ford.

Ford announces first non-pursuit-rated police car ever

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Ford announced its first non-pursuit-rated Police Interceptor ever, based on the Taurus, which employs the smaller 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine in place of similar pursuit-rated Police Interceptors powered by naturally aspirated 3.5-liter and 3.7-liter V6s and the top-spec 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Officially called the Special Service Police sedan, the car was commissioned at the request of law-enforcement agencies that desire a more fuel-efficient vehicle for detectives, administrators and campus police, who don't necessarily need pursuit-rated vehicles.
The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine produces 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, but more importantly, it allows the SSP sedan to achieve somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 miles per gallon city and 32 mpg highway, which are the civilian 2.0-liter Taurus' official EPA ratings. Ford estimates that the SSP sedan will get 20 mpg city, 30 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined, with the help of Active Grille Shutters that open to allow more cooling air through to the radiator, or close to optimize aerodynamics and fuel economy. Those numbers compare favorably to the discontinued Crown Victoria-based Interceptor's 14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway and the newer Taurus-based cars equipped with V6s, the most fuel efficient of which gets 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.
If it was driven 90,000 miles over the course of three years, a 2.0-liter SSP sedan would save law enforcement agencies $5,042.92 versus the Crown Vic, Ford estimates. The EPA is expected to post official fuel-economy numbers for the SSP sedan in December. Until then, read the press release below for more information.

Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams

Sun, 11 Aug 2013

As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.

Experts wonder if aluminum F-150 gives Ford a real advantage

Mon, 17 Mar 2014

There's no doubt that Ford is taking a risk in producing the body of its upcoming new F-150 pickup truck in aluminum. What is up for debate, however, is whether aluminum was a wise risk to take in the first place. Wards Auto took the opportunity to poll some experts on the subject of aluminum versus steel in the automotive sector, with somewhat unsurprising results.
Richard Schultz, a project consultant at Ducker Worldwide, which bills itself as "a leading aluminum industry consultant (though they also deal in steels), suggests that the potential drawbacks to aluminum - higher costs, lower supply - aren't really impediments to the auto industry's increased acceptance of the lightweight metal.
Similarly, Randall Scheps, global automotive marketing director for Alcoa, a massive aluminum producer, counters claims that aluminum is less safe for vehicle occupants, suggesting that the use of aluminum can actually increase safety as it could potentially allow for larger vehicles with more crush space than steel.
