1993 Mustang SSP Police vehicle. This car was owned by the Beverly Hills California Police Department. It is my understanding this SSP was used as a Detective car at BHPD. A color copy of the City Of Beverly Hills Title will come with the car and is attached as a photo for viewing. The car currently has 63,510 original miles. This Mustang SSP was sold by Beverly Hills in 2005 with 60,022 miles and has only been driven a couple thousand miles since. The Mustang has been owned by me for the past year and has been stored inside covered. I have a clean clear title in my name in my possession. This car was used as a police car, thus it has numerous scratches and dings on it. I have tried to show the condition of the car in the photos. However, consider this is a used 20 year old car and is not in show condition (although it has been taken to car shows and parades). Buck tags are in place as are all VIN tags. There is non OEM window tint on the driver/passenger/quarter windows and rear glass. The driver quarter tint is coming loose. There are scratches on the tint on the other windows. The car starts runs and drives well. The tires are not the correct size for the car. It has 205 70 15 on it and should have 225 60 15. The speedometer shows a couple MPH off due to the tires. This car is equipped with emergency equipment for shows and parades. It has wig-wag lights front and back, a red flip down visor light, rear deck blue/yellow flasher and a siren. The car can not be driven on the street with the equipment in working order. I will not ship the car with the blue lens on the rear deck light unless the purchaser provides Law Enforcement Credentials. The transmission in the Mustang was rebuilt in 2012 by Sam's Transmission shop in Salem, Oregon. . It is very strong and has a shift kit. The Mustang had a new heater core from Ford installed in 2012. The Mustang was last run through emissions in 2009 in California and passed. I have no reason to believe it would not pass now, however I am not in an emission area. I have set what I believe is a very reasonable reserve for this car in this economy. There are a lot of photos online of this car at shows and in parades. Google Beverly Hills Police Mustang and you should find them. This Mustang is stored in my secure shop. It is available for inspection by appointment.
PLEASE READ- It is expensive to ship a car cross country. Please consider the cost of shipping prior to bidding. Bidders with less than 5 positive feedback must contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. The last 2 cars I have put on Ebay have had users place a high bid to find my reserve, then retract their bid prior to the end of the auction. It is expensive and time consuming to list on Ebay. Please do not mess with my auction! If knowing the reserve is an overwhelming need, please email me and we can discuss it. Thanks for your understanding and good luck bidding!

GM takes 2020 full-size pickup sales crown
Thu, Jan 7 2021It's no secret that 2020 was an unconventional year for auto sales. Extenuating circumstances or not, it was a year of upheaval even for ever-resilient (and ever-profitable) pickups, with General Motors taking the crown from Ford in the full-size segment. The Ford F-Series still outsold every other full-size pickup nameplate in the country by a significant margin. It's only when you combine GM's Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra variants that you get a number that exceeds Ford's. This isn't really a new phenomenon, either. In fact, it was only somewhat recently that Ford took the overall full-size crown away from GM, and not only did Ford widen the gap in recent years, but Ram has once again become a legitimate challenger, even managing to outsell the Silverado by a healthy margin in 2019, but never coming close to the F-Series in terms of total volume. But, 2020 being 2020, things got weird yet again. Ram remains relevant, of course, but Ford got caught with its pants down thanks to the one-two punch of COVID and the generational changeover of the core F-150 model, which resulted in a production interruption as the company's assembly facilities transitioned from building the old 2020 model to the new-for-2021. This perfect storm, as it turns out, was sufficient for GM to walk away with the full-size crown. See for yourself: Full-size 2020 pickup sales: GM total: 847,110 F-Series: 787,422 Silverado: 594,094 Ram: 563,676 Sierra: 253,016 Tundra: 109,203 Titan: 26,439 As you can see, Ram slipped back behind Silverado, slotting comfortably into third place. The Silverado 1500 had a flat year, but the heavy- and medium-duty variants bucked the trend and contributed to a slight uptick in sales for the nameplate, while F-Series tumbled more than 12% (nearly 110,000 units), opening the door for GM to steam ahead. There were similarly significant shakeups in the midsize truck segment. First, 2020 was the first full year of retail sales for the Gladiator pickup, which surged to fourth place behind the stalwart Tacoma, Ranger and Colorado. GM's combined sales of the Colorado and Canyon are good enough for second place by manufacturer, but nowhere close to what it would take to dethrone Toyota.
How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
Translogic 180: Zombie 222 Electric '68 Mustang
Wed, Jul 15 2015Translogic heads to Austin, TX for a chance to drive the all-electric Zombie 222, a 1968 Ford Mustang converted by Mitch Medford and his team at Blood Shed Motors. "I wanted to start a company that would do nothing but specialize in converting vintage iconic cars into supercars," said Medford. The Zombie 222 has classic looks, but modern performance with over 800 horsepower and 1,800 ft-lbs of torque, making it the fastest electric car we've ever driven on Translogic. Those mind-blowing specs helped the Zombie 222 conquer the Texas Mile, setting the electric speed record at 174.2 miles per hour. "The Zombie 222 has been breaking electric records, said Medford. "Now it's time to break records—gas or electric." Next up for Medford and his Zombie 222 is a Kickstarter-funded attempt at 200 miles per hour. But first, we take a turn behind the wheel.
