This Car was purchased when my son was born in 1994 from Vista Ford In Southern CA. It was intended to become his first car once graduating HS.  I drove it on weekends and she lived inside her entire life.

1996 came and I decided that a little hp Boost was in order and after extensive research decided that a "Mellow" safe increase would include; a Powerdyne Supercharger With 6 lb boost professionally installed, with: GT 40 Ported Alum Heads, roller rocker titanium push rods, GT 40 upper and Lower matched ported manifolds, Hooker Headers, 73MM Throttle Body, 24lb injectors, Cat Back Flowmasters, 355 gears, HD cluch, short shifter all fitting under the little stock hood. This lasted about 7,000 miles when once more a little more hp was sought.

This was when I had the engine stroked. A 347 stroker motor was built using the original Block adding; aluminum push rods, racing pistons (lower compression for the blower which was changed to 9lbs) MSD retard ignition (to protect any detonation), an X303 cam, 32lb injectors, new 3 core radiator that was once more lowered into a; "stock", original paint, original top, interior, original Windshield washer blades, one owner sleeper 5.0 Mustang

This car has never been abused, raced, or driven by another person other than myself and the couple few professionals who wrenched on the car for its entire life.
The body is almost perfect with one "ding" on the drivers side rear panel from my Knucklehead contractor who was adding on another 2 car garage to fit some other vehicles inside. Every bolt on the body(other than engine) came from Ford as it was when the car was purchased new.
There is on tiny scratch on the clear coat that was caused by the blockhead service advisor in 1994 when he dragged a flat blade screwdriver across the front right fender while adjusting something a week into the life of the silver bullet. I would have to show you as it is almost invisible... Almost

There is one spot on the front bumper where I walked into the car at some point that caused a small scratch on the corner... this one you might see when inspecting. There is a small scratch on the front bottom rubber air dam that is seen when you get on your knees and look under the bumper.

The tires are new, the rims are a 9.5-10. Not one curb has ever touched them ! The undercarriage is without any corrosion that I have seen. But to be honest it has been about 2 years since I have looked under the car. Original window sticker is included in a 7+condition(one fold since new)

If you are a collector and are looking for a 9.5-10 Fox Body style this is one to look at and compare to all the other 5.0's out there. If you want a weekend driver that will make you laugh every time you put your foot into the throttle make your offer. It is reliable, super clean, and is very wicked sounding in its current stealth mode. If you know cars, the engine is unmistakably, an aluminum monster making somewhere in the area of 450hp to the rear wheels on pump gas. I kept it on the safe side as I intended to keep it longer than the 20 years I have owned her. The exhaust is not loud, but, very throaty and the aluminum parts inside are readily noticed while the cam rumbles her to a pissed off purr when coming to a red light. THIS IS NOT A KIDS CARS And should not be bought for a young adult... (which is why my son is not driving her) she giddy ups when you put the whip to her and likes to buck off the less talented riders...

But sadly she must go to a new barn to call home.

Cadillac Escalade gets $5,000 discount to ward off Lincoln Navigator

Wed, Nov 8 2017

General Motors apparently isn't going to let early good reception for the redesigned Lincoln Navigator steal thunder from its own luxury SUV without a fight. It's offering a $5,000 discount on the purchase or lease of the Cadillac Escalade this month to any buyer who trades in a 1999 or newer Lincoln model, Bloomberg reports. GM spokesman Jim Cain told Bloomberg the incentive is being offered to keep prices competitive for the Escalade. The 2018 Navigator starts at $72,055, compared to $73,995 for the Escalade, but the outgoing version of the Navigator is selling for an average of around $53,000, compared with more than $80,000 on average for the Escalade, he said. The Escalade was the top-selling domestic luxury SUV in October and No. 4 in the segment, according to Motor Intelligence. It far outsold the Navigator, which last saw a refresh in 2015 and a full redesign in 2007. But Ford is hoping to gain back some ground with the new Navigator and updated Expedition, which also trails the Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevy Suburban in its segment. Bloomberg notes that one Morgan Stanley analyst estimates that GM owns a $2 billion annual pretax profit edge in the lucrative luxury sport utility segment. Our recent First Drive review called the new Navigator "far superior to its primary competitor, the Cadillac Escalade."Related Video:

New car market raining on convertibles' parade

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Whether fitted with soft or hard folding lids, today's droptops are better than ever for year-round motoring. Advancements in power top mechanisms, sealing, aerodynamics, structural rigidity, rollover safety and creature comforts like heated and cooled seats mean that modern convertibles are more versatile and better to drive than ever before. Yet the segment's sales took a dive during the recession and haven't come back, Automotive News reports.
Part of that is because automakers are looking at today's more sensible buyers and simply not developing as many new models, and that lack of fresh iron is curbing sales. AN cites R.L. Polk data which notes that only about one percent of new vehicles registered in the US last year had tops that folded. Back in 2009, it was 1.4 percent, and it was 2 percent in 2006. All-in, some 151,636 convertibles were registered in 2012. That's more units more than were registered in each of the past three years, but the market has also grown as the economy has picked up speed, and as a percentage of new vehicles purchased, convertible sales are lagging.
Thus far in 2013, the Ford Mustang is America's top-selling convertible, with 6,421 units registered through the end of April, followed by its rival, the Chevrolet Camaro, at 4,751 units. The Volkswagen Beetle isn't far behind, with 4,305, but from that point, it's a steep drop off to the fourth-place Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and its 2,380 sales.

Are we about to see a real SUV revival?

Wed, Mar 23 2016

Now that the marketplace has been oversaturated with cute-utes, crossovers, and CUV coupes, are we about to see a resurgence of real, honest-to-God SUVs? Ummm... maybe. The stars seem to be aligning in that direction, at least that's the sense I'm getting. We know an all-new Jeep Wrangler is only a few auto shows away; and that Jeep is about to introduce a new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk for 2017, in the same rugged spirit of the successful Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawks. Ford has hinted at a neo-Bronco, after showing the concept above in 2014 to wet the mouths of all those Duck Dynasty-types out there. And, and... wait for it... I recently learned that Subaru sent a questionnaire out to some Forester owners asking if they might be interested in an off-road package if it were offered. The items listed were pretty hardcore, serious stuff, such as: integrated tow/recovery hooks, additional ground clearance, more rugged wheels, skid plates, altimeter, front-view off-road camera, improved approach and departure angles, advanced differentials, Inclinometer, full-size spare tire, upgraded off-road suspension components, more aggressive tires, off-road driving mode (engine, transmission, throttle, and steering settings), more rugged styling, low-range gearing, and a more advanced traction management system. Folks that's not my wish list (well, actually it is), but those are words from Subaru, asking if that's what customers would like to see. Need proof? Go to the SubaruForester.org website. It's in a discussion there. So... no promises or guarantees here, and feel free to call me a rumormonger if you like; but the next few years could prove very interesting for those who actually do go off road. If this pans out, remember, you read it here first. Related Video: Image Credit: Ford Ford Jeep Subaru Crossover SUV Off-Road Vehicles open road
