Hi. I'm selling my 67 Shelby tribute. This car started as a very rust free San Jose fastback. It had a full
rotisserie nut and bolt restoration done. It is a very authentic Shelby clone conversion with everything but the
roll bar and some of the odd Shelby parts. Most of the car utilized original parts where possible, such as the
bumpers as they were rechromed. The sheet metal on the shell was excellent with exception of some floor areas and
battery box area.
The engine is a 289 bored and stroked to a 331. It is balanced and has a roller valve train the heads are worked
with bigger stainless valves. The exterior of the engine has all correct hi po and Shelby parts.
The transmission is a top loader 4 speed. It has a 9 inch 3:25 traction lock rear end.
The car is well optioned with power steering and power disk brakes, air conditioning and tinted glass, fold down
rear seat etc. I have full Marti report also.
It has a full deluxe interior with repop Shelby steering wheel and gauges. The radio does not work, I never hooked
it up to the speakers. I installed new door speakers with the intent of a blue tooth set up. The AC is completely
rebuilt and fully functioning.
The car performs very well it handles good too. It also has the Shelby drop to front end.
The paint is base clear coat and was buffed very lightly to leave some orange peel for an authentic appearance. The
paint is very nice but not perfect. There are some chips from driving it.
The only thing not period correct are the tail lights. It has LED with sequential functions. The tires obviously
are Bf Goodrich with Magstars.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible shown on Twitter [UPDATE w/video]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It hasn't yet been 12 hours since the hotly anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang has been let out into public view. After a series of evocative leaks over the course of the last days, we brought you a full deep dive of the sixth-generation pony car at the dawning of today. And yet, here we are rushing to bring you news of a new Mustang variant, already.
Be it part of a plan to keep the Mustang fervor at full boil, or a misunderstood email somewhere in the chain of command, Ford UK has unceremoniously tweeted a picture of the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible. For a newly global Mustang, getting our first look at the droptop from the convertible-crazy British does make some amount of sense.
As for details, well, you're looking at them. Brandon Turkus reported yesterday that the Mustang 'vert would make use of a fully electric convertible mechanism, and that it would be of fabric construction rather than some kind of retractable hardtop. We see here that the fabric part is clearly true, and it does look as though Ford may still be employing the same kind of manually attached tonneau cover that exists right now. Of course, our view from this angle isn't great, and the particulars are still up in the air.

Automakers' rush on aluminum may result in shortage

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Aluminum is the new buzzword in the automotive industry. The latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport both take advantage of the lightweight material to shave huge amounts of body fat (only it's called "aluminium" over there). Audi and Jaguar have been using the stuff for years in their A8 and XJ, respectively, and now, aluminum is going mainstream, arriving on the 2015 Ford F-150.
While we're excited to see aluminum make an impact outside the premium market, its widespread adoption apparently won't come without some problems, notably in terms of supply. "There isn't an automotive manufacturer that makes vehicles in North America that we're not talking to," Tom Boney, of Novelis, the largest global supplier of aluminum sheetmetal, told The Detroit News.
According to Boney, Ford's use of aluminum on such a large scale has forced auto manufacturers in "every boardroom" to reconsider their plans following the F-150's unveiling, for one simple reason: there's not exactly enough aluminum to go around, at least in the short term. The auto industry presently only accounts for six percent of the aluminum sheet produced, but as the material is adopted by more and more brands, that figure is expected to swell to 25 percent within the next six years.
