1922 Ford Model T Roadster.. this car is a recent build and used the best of the best parts... starting at the front it has a tube straight axle with disc brakes. Pete and Jakes steering and shocks. Chrome hair pins and chrome steering components are in great shape..Moving on the engines its not the normal SBC its a fresh 351 Cleveland Big Block FORD...!!! TONS of work has been done to it including some vintage speed parts like a dual carb tunnel ram with 2 holleys.... then topped off with a double barrel air cleaner setup.. has a set of Sanders chrome lake pipes on it. a lot of polishing and chrome on the front half of this car..!! The body is a original fiberglass from back in the day. With a black cherry paint that is great looking also.. the interior is all black pleated to keep with the old school look. custom seat, side panels, and rear bed cover are in great shape no rips or scuffs.. it has a tilt column with a vega box for steering. rear axle is a 9in ford that's loaded with a locker and 3:57 gear.. which is great for cruising down the highway..!!! it has all new headlights and taillights with working turn signals and flashers.. the chassis on this car is a double round tube style.. definitely a style from back in the day.. no cracks or hacked up welds will be found on it.. the tires are new with the rest of the build.. they are the best around the classic Mickey Thompson sportmans radial in a 29x18.50x15..!!! the rear suspension is a quarter elliptical setup and rides great.. but if you want that true hotrod look it also has air shocks!!! the fuel cell and battery are located in the bed and are painted to match the body... the chassis, body, f and r axle, grille, engine block are all painted the black cherry color... this car runs and drives great down the highway perfect.. I know im missing stuff but feel free to call for more info and I do have a more pics and video clips of it.. call 618-315-7819 thanks for looking and great bidding

Ford cuts production at 5 plants, has big backload of cars including Mustang
Wed, Sep 20 2017DETROIT — Ford said on Tuesday it plans to idle five North American vehicle assembly plants for a total of 10 weeks to reduce inventories of slow-selling models. The plants affected include three assembly plants in the United States and two in Mexico, the company said in a statement. The vehicle models include the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ midsize sedans, the Ford Focus compact car, the Lincoln Continental and Ford Mustang, Ford Fiesta and the Ford Transit van. Ford said the Cuautitlan assembly plant that builds the Fiesta would be idled for three weeks. The Hermosillo, Mexico plant that builds the Fusion and MKZ and the Flat Rock, Michigan, factory that assembles Continentals and Mustangs will be idled for two weeks each. The Michigan Assembly plant that builds the Focus will be idled for one week, and the Kansas City assembly line that builds Transit vans will be down for two weeks. Ford did not give dates for the temporary shutdowns. The factories involved employ more than 15,000 people, according to Ford's website. The company did not say how many of those workers would face temporary layoffs. As of Sept. 1, Ford had 111 days' worth of unsold Mustangs, 87 days' supply of Fusions, and a 103 days' supply of Transit vans, according to Automotive News. Dealers had enough unsold Lincoln Continentals to last 162 days. Automakers aim for 65 to 70 days of inventory of most models. Ford and rival General Motors have wrestled most of this year to rein in high inventories of passenger cars as consumers have shifted to buying pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles. Production cuts slice into revenue, but also could help the automakers avoid deeper price cuts on vehicles they can sell. Project Ugly Horse: Part VI
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.
