Up for sale is my Ford Model A chassis I built when I was a student at WyoTech. It's extremely well built. I put a lot of hours into it as well as a number of students who followed me. A few of my instructors put time into it as well. I would put it up against any builders chassis' produced by high end shops.
Here is a list of features of the chassis:
QA1 chromed front shocks
6" drop spring-over front axle
Ford style spindles
11" disk brakes
27" hair pins
Vega steering box
1932 Ford front crossmember (the plan was to put a shortened 32 grill shell on it)
Shortened heavy duty Ford 9" rearend
Carrera coil-over rear shocks
Four-link rear suspension
The frame is Z'd in the rear and kicked up in the front to provide a 6" ride height. I had a set of nice steel wheeled big n' little whitewalls for all four corners from Coker. Unfortunately the rears were stolen but the fronts are still there. The frame horns are bobbed. And so much more. A lot of thought and effort went into this chassis that there are too many features to list. This is a super nice frame and it kills me to sell it but unfortunately I've had to turn my priorities elsewhere. Speedway sells it's Model T builders frame for $5000. Art Morrison, Fatman Fabrications, etc. sell similar builders frames for close to $8000. This is a great price for and outstanding chassis.

Ford recalling 830,000 vehicles to replace side door latches
Thu, Aug 4 2016The Basics: Ford is conducting a recall for roughly 830,000 models. The affected vehicles include the 2013 to 2015 Ford C-Max, 2012 to 2015 Ford Focus, 2013 to 2015 Ford Escape, 2015 Lincoln MKC, 2015 Ford Mustang, and 2014 to 2016 Ford Transit Connect. The recall is focused primarily in Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, California, Arizona, Hawaii, Georgia, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, Washington, and Oregon as the problem mostly affects cars in states with warm weather. The Problem: The pawl spring tab in the side door latch in the affected vehicles could break, preventing the door from latching and could even cause the door to open while driving. Injuries/Deaths: There is one reported injury and one reported accident. The Fix: Dealers will replace the affected cars' side door latches. If you own one: Reach out to your local Ford dealer to schedule a service. Ford cranks up '32 Ford body production
Tue, 14 Jan 2014If you're going to build your own hot rod, you'll want to start with a '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Favored by American servicemen returning from World War II, the '32 Ford remains the very icon of the hot rod to this day. The trouble is there were only so many of them made in the first place, and finding one today can be a challenge. That's where reproduction models come in.
The aftermarket is replete with companies that will sell you a fiberglass body in the form of a '32 Ford coupe, but quality can be hit or miss. So to help meet demand among hot rod builders and enthusiasts, Ford has teamed up with United Pacific Industries to offer officially licensed body shells.
Announced at the SEMA show in November, the '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe body is made from stamped steel according to original specifications from original machinery where possible or reproduced machinery built to the same original specifications where necessary. The bodies are ready to accept vintage powertrains or crate motors from the Ford Racing catalog, and join the 9,000 other parts offered in the Ford Component Sales catalog - including similar reproduction bodies available for the 1965-70 Mustang and 1940 Ford Coupe. From there, the proverbial sky's the limit.
Ford lowers MPG ratings on six vehicles
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Ford has announced that it will be lowering the fuel economy ratings on a number of its 2013 and 2014 model year vehicles after an error was discovered in the company's internal testing data. The EPA has been notified.
Worryingly for Ford, the vast majority of the vehicles affected are hybrids, including the C-Max, Fusion and MKZ in both hybrid and plug-in varieties (where applicable). Also covered as part of the rerating is the entire lineup of 2014 Fiesta engines, with the exception of the ST, including the turbocharged, three-cylinder EcoBoost.
The C-Max was originally rated at 47/47/47 mpg, but dropped to 43/45/40 last year and now to 40/42/37.
