I am selling my 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD Postless Fastback Coupe. This vehicle is a true classic timepiece from the mid 60's. This is not a barn find nor was it a restoration job. This vehicle was maintained and preserved the right way from day 1 and never in any accidents or fender benders. This is the base model with its original matching number 352ci with Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. Exterior is in excellent shape considering its age. Has all its original glass in tact with no cracks or scratches. Interior is in great shape with no rips or torn material including the dash board with no cracks. Engine Compartment, Trunk, Frame,Undercarriage and floors are solid with no rust or rot holes. Laser straight body lines with no dents anywhere. This is a turn key type of vehicle which can be driven anywhere anytime and is an everyday driver and not a trailer queen. Has always been stored indoors in a climate controlled environment and never driven in rain or snow. Rides very tight and quiet with no rattles or shakes. It can get out of trouble just as fast as it got into. In other words is a stealthy sleeper. I also have the original 2 rear fender skirts for the tires and 14 inch wheels with original Galaxie hubcaps which will also come with the car along with the 15 inch Cragars which are on the car now with new whitewall tires. I also have the original Galaxie keys and owners manual. The original radio still works great, and has a new updated radio with cd mounted under dash board with new speakers on the rear dash. These type of mid year Galaxies are getting harder and harder to find these days in this condition. If you don't believe me just try looking for a clean, solid, unmolested 1965 and you will see exactly what I mean. Today you could not restore this car for my asking price never mind trying to find a good clean solid one to begin with. It took me almost 4 years to find the right one to turn into a Pro Street project but this one is in too good of shape to cut up and tub out. You could buy it today and cruise tonight to your favorite spots around town or bring it to your local car shows and show it off. I get compliments and thumbs up everywhere I go and it does pretty good at the car shows too attracting all sorts of great people and the stories they have about their family members owning one of these timeless classics. I am not a car dealer, I am a collector/enthusiast/hobbyist who enjoys these type of vehicles. Interesting Trades will be considered and may be accepted for a pre 1972 Ford, Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, Oldsmobile, Mopar, Pontiac, Classic Car, Muscle Car, Hot Rod. or Cash is always the best trade. If interested you can e-mail me through ebay or call me direct at Three,Three,Nine - Two,Two,Five - Eight,Seven,Five,Five and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. I also have an online photo album of the car with many more pictures and I would be happy to send you the link for it.

Motorweek goes retro with '80s hot hatch shootout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Motorweek's decades of history on television make it the perfect medium to look back into the automotive past and see how things are different now. It recently added old road test videos to its YouTube channel of the Acura NSX and Toyota Supra, as well as the Ferrari F40. For one of its newest flashback clips, Motorweek has exhumed an affordable five-car challenge of 1986's premiere hot hatches.
By today's standards, this is an eclectic field that features fondly remembered classics like the Volkswagen GTI 16-valve and Acura Integra. However, it also throws in some nearly forgotten contenders like the Dodge Colt Turbo and Ford Escort GT. The angular Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S rounds out the group.
It's fascinating to watch Motorweek run the quintet through the slalom, down the drag strip and on various roads. What's most striking in this clip is the difference in the definition of a performance car between then and now. With its 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the GTI is the burliest of the contenders with 123 horsepower, but it still takes 8.8 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. By today's standards, that would make it a plain-jane economy car, and not even a particularly quick one.
Hennessey unleashes 2015 HPE700 supercharged Ford Mustang
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Thanks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat there is a new magic number in the muscle car world - 707. To raise eyebrows these days in the power war, a vehicle needs to match or preferably exceed that palindromic figure. The tuners over at Hennessey took a look at it for their 2015 HPE700 Mustang and decided to go one better. Well, ten actually, because they bestowed their latest creation with 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque.
The HPE 700 Mustang takes the standard Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8 and turns up the power a few hundred notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. Hennessey claims that this boosted 'Stang can rocket to 60 miles per hour in about 3.6 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. For those keeping score at home, those figures are very similar to Challenger Hellcat.
To cope with all of the added boost, the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's calibration for the engine management. Pricing for the package is $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, but the company is limiting production to 500 units for the 2015 model year. Founder John Hennessey told Autoblog that he has already received about a dozen orders for them.
With contract expiration days away, UAW targets GM first for negotiations
Tue, Sep 3 2019The United Auto Workers union on Tuesday said that it would target General Motors as the first of the Detroit automakers for talks ahead of the current four-year contract's expiration on Sept. 14. This year's contract talks between the union and GM, Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV are expected to be contentious as U.S. new vehicle sales are slowing and automakers face rising costs associated with the development of electric vehicles and self-driving cars. Rising healthcare costs, job security, profit sharing and the use of temporary workers are expected to be major sticking points. GM in particular has been a target of union ire since announcing the closure of five North American plants late last year. That move drew a wave of criticism, including from U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump has repeatedly prodded GM and last week said the No. 1 U.S. automaker should begin moving its operations in China back to the United States. "We are prepared and we are all ready to stand up for our members, our communities and our manufacturing future," UAW President Gary Jones said in a statement. In a statement, GM said, "We look forward to having constructive discussions with the UAW on reaching an agreement that builds a strong future for our employees and our business." The contracts come at a difficult time for the UAW, as a federal corruption investigation into the union continues to grow. Last week, the FBI conducted searches at Jones' home, a union retreat and multiple other locations, including the home of the union's previous president, Dennis Williams. To date, seven people linked to the union and the automaker have been sentenced in the government's corruption investigation. Reporting by Nick Carey.
