***THERE IS A SLIDESHOW WITH MORE DETAILED PICS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS AUCTION***

1963 Ford Galaxie 500 2dr Fastback. Was originally a 352 CID automatic car in Raven Black with Red Vinyl Interior with 3.00 rear end gears.

***IT DOES NOT HAVE AN ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION***

The car needs total restoration but would be beautiful when finished. I have included some pics of build ideas on this car in the pics.

The car needs alot of body work. It needs the passenger side front fender replaced. It needs a long rear passenger quarter panel put in (you can buy these online). It needs a new drivers door put on. I have a replacement door that is straight but needs a couple holes filled on the bottom weatherstrip channels. Try to find a new one or patch this one up. I also have two front fenders and a front bumper valence from the previous owner. The fenders are rusted out on top and bottom but the valence is good and straight. I would try to find a new passenger fender and then use the trim off of these.

The hood and trunk lid are good and straight and not rusted out.

All of the glass is good except for the windshield.

The frame is solid and the wheel wells look good with no holes. No rust in the engine bay either.

The great thing about this car is that the floor pans are pretty solid compared to most cars of this age. The only holes are in the very front so it will need two short front floor pans put in like they all do but that is it. The pans under the seat and behind them are solid. Also, the rear trunk pan where the rear damage is on the passenger side needs to be hammered straight a bit but there is no rust in the trunk pan.

All the interior and interior trim is there with the car. Everything just needs to be recovered, new headlinder, carpet, etc. The dash is all there but it needs a new pad.

The stainless window trim is all there and straight. Just needs to be polished. Most of the side trim is there on the car and in the box.

The bumpers and bumper brackets are good and straight. The bumpers just need to be rechromed.

All of the headlights and buckets are there in the box.

A power brake booster from the previous owner is included with the car but I have no idea if it will work with this car. See the pics.

It has a few old Cougar and Thunderbird hubcaps on it that could be sold off and some extra tail light trim.

There is no title. Alabama law does not require a title for vehicles 35+ years old. Car will come with a bill of sale.

Ford recalls Explorer and Lincoln MKC for fire hazard

Thu, Mar 31 2016

The Basics: Ford will recall 5,536 examples of the 2016 Explorer and 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC. The Explorers have build dates between October 20, 2014, and January 28, 2016, at the Chicago Assembly Plant. The MKCs are from between November 25, 2013, and January 25, 2016, at the Louisville Assembly Plant. In total, there are 3,129 total affected examples of the 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2,407 examples of the 2016 Ford Explorer. Of these, 1,543 are in the US and 3,993 are in Canada. The Problem: The combination of the engine block design and the block heater in these vehicles can cause the part to overheat when plugged in. Injuries/Deaths: None reported, but there are two cases of underhood fires in Canada. If you own one: Ford will begin notifying owners during the week of May 16, company spokesperson John Cangany tells Autoblog. Related Video: Ford issues safety recall for certain 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles to replace engine block heaters Ford is issuing a safety recall for approximately 5,500 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles to remove the heaters and replace them with an updated design. The engine block design, coupled with the particular block heater installed in these vehicles, causes the unit to be susceptible to overheating when the vehicle is parked and the block heater is plugged in –increasing the risk of an underhood fire. Ford is aware of two reports of underhood fires in Canada, but is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue. Affected vehicles include certain 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC vehicles built at Louisville Assembly Plant, Nov. 25, 2013 through Jan. 25, 2016 and certain 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles built at Chicago Assembly Plant, Oct. 20, 2014 through Jan. 28, 2016. There are 5,536 vehicles affected by the issue, including 3,129 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2,407 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles, with 1,543 of the affected vehicles in the United States and federalized territories and 3,993 in Canada. Dealers will remove and replace the engine block heater with an updated design and, if needed, replace the cord at no cost to the customer.

Ford Focus ST, Fiesta ST buyers to get free Octane Academy driving school

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

The Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST have created plenty of excitement in the sport compact segment, and Ford is looking to make sure that owners are driving and enjoying their cars to the best of their abilities. As an added bonus for buying one of these sporty hatchbacks, Ford will provide a complimentary ST Octane Academy session to be held at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Attendees will be responsible for travel and lodging, but Ford will provide the driving school free of charge. Included in this two-day trip, ST owners will get class instruction and driving instruction in prepped Focus ST and Fiesta ST models on the track and autocross course. Some karting action will also be involved as will a tour of Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing headquarters located nearby. If this doesn't sound like enough fun, there is also an optional day of activities that includes some more track time in a Mustang GT and off-road instruction in an F-150 SVT Raptor.
Ford told us that those who have already purchased a Focus ST or Fiesta ST will still be able to attend the performance driving school, but the press release, which is posted below, makes it sound like it applies to original owners only. Ford has yet to announce its schedule for the ST Octane Academy or prices for additional activities or guests.

Next Lincoln Navigator to drop V8 in favor of V6, but Ford Expedition might get both

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

A great many buyers fled from full-size body-on-frame SUVs to car-based crossovers in large measure to save fuel. But that doesn't mean there's still not a buying audience for more traditional truck-based utility vehicles, and those consumers doubtlessly wouldn't mind saving some dollars at the pump, too. According to Motor Trend, those shoppers might be in luck.
That's because the magazine has confirmed that Ford isn't walking away from the full-size SUV segment, and it's poised to do something about its offerings' economy ratings, too. According to MT, global Lincoln director Matt VanDyke has hinted that the next Navigator may drop two cylinders and go with a V6 model - the current model gets just 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway from its 5.4-liter V8. The obvious fitment would be Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, an engine that has spread like kudzu throughout the rest of the Blue Oval's large vehicle lineup.
Downsized turbocharged engines like Ford's EcoBoost franchise have come under fire as of late for not delivering their EPA fuel economy ratings, but their benefits extend beyond consumption - the 3.5L offers superior power and a better torque curve than the naturally aspirated V8. MT also suggests that Ford's 3.7-liter V6 could form the base engine for the next Navi - it has similar horsepower but a lot less torque than the current 5.4L. That may be less of a problem with the next generation tipped to go on a diet, which could level the playing field somewhat.
