Very nice car that is fun to drive. Mechanically it is very sound. Has new radial tires with under 500 miles on them. I have owned the car for 5 years, purchased it from another person who owned several collector cars. He owned the car at one time and bought it back after restoration, then sold it to me. I have done some work on the car to improve it during my ownership, including the tires, new hubcaps, gauge repairs, door and window alignment, and front end sector shaft and bushing replacements and front seat belt additions. Ford O Matic transmission, 272 cubic inch Y block V8 engine with 2 barrel carb. Brakes work great but are not power, manual steering as well. The top is in good condition. The power top cylinder lines have been replaced and pump reconditioned. The chrome is good and the car has a continental kit. I am not sure if the radio works, it is missing a speaker wire. I do have 3 older style wheel covers which will come with the car. It is a very attractive car that presents well. Exterior is straight and basic paint is good. It looks like a full paint job was done at restoration. Note there are a couple of paint chips/flakes and two small bubbles above the passenger fender skirt. The car is used seasonally while I am in Arizona and is garaged when not in use. The new owner will drive it with pride, it always gets thumbs up, honks and waves when I drive it.

IIHS crash tests second F-150 bodystyle
Mon, Jun 15 2015Sometimes, being the king comes with some extra scrutiny. At the urging of Automotive News, the Ford F-150 is the first truck to have multiple cab configurations crash tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. According to Automotive News, IIHS was preparing to release the crash-test report on the 2015 F-150 after the safety watchdog evaluated the popular, four-door SuperCrew body. However, the agency learned from AN that configuration contained steel bars welded around the front wheels for added protection. Those reinforcements aren't on the other cab variants, and IIHS is now going back to check a SuperCab without the strengthening to check its safety performance, as well. While the added bars might help the SuperCrew score better in the vital but difficult small-overlap front crash test, there's no guarantee that's their sole purpose. As the head of the IIHS crash lab Joe Nolan indicated to Automotive News, if Ford were just trying to beat the system the company could only put the reinforcement on the driver's side where the agency does the small-overlap test. Also, when the National Highway Travel Safety Administration checked the latest F-150, the Feds gave all three cab styles top, five-star overall ratings. Due to the additional testing, IIHS won't have the F-150's scores ready until July, according to Automotive News. Starting next year, the cab variants of other trucks will also starting being crash tested by the agency. Related Video:
Ford GT inspires objects for Milan furniture show [w/videos]
Tue, Apr 14 2015Can't get enough of the lines on the new Ford GT? Then Milan is the place to be this month. That's where Ford will be presenting a series of objects whose designs were penned by the same talents behind (and inspired by) the company's new supercar. Set to be presented at the Salone del Mobile furniture show in the Italian metropolis, the collection ranges from tables, chairs and light fixtures to a sailboat, foosball table and electric guitar. "We have an incredible amount of talent in our global design studios," said Ford's chief designer Moray Callum. "Salone del Mobile is the perfect forum to share some of that creativity, while also offering our designers an opportunity to get exposure to new ideas that will inspire future Ford design." In addition to these seemingly random objects, Ford has also partnered with architect Attilio Stocchi to create a special light exhibition entitled "Favillia, Every Light a Voice," similarly inspired by the new GT. But if your plans won't be taking you to Milan anytime soon, you can check them out in the images above and the videos and press release below. This content is hosted by a third party. Riding along in Ford's bonkers Fiesta ST Global RallyCross car [w/video]
Wed, 28 Aug 2013
The Mountune-worked Fiesta ST GRC does 0-to-60 mph in 1.9 seconds.
On any given day, and every single weekend, there's at least one parking in the country invaded by manufacturer and team trucks. The be-chromed beasts and their 53-foot trailers are slotted into rows, men and women decorate the lot with orange cones to mark the invisible tracery of a temporary track, cars get unloaded, crews fret over them. The ritual can be as beautiful as the sunrise to those with enthusiast hearts, but it's just as common.
