I bought from a friend because I like the older style trucks.He had already started getting the truck ready to restore.Very nice front and rear bumpers,already been sanded and looks to have been primered. Looks to me like it's ready to paint but could need some minor touchups depending on the buyer.I think the body is nice for an older truck.Was idling rough but I'm not a mechanic but was told if I bought a regulator,it would help.I bought the regulator but didnt help.Not idling right,Drove it home which was about 10 miles and was going to restore it but have a son in college and money is tight.Went and took the regulator off and it still was idling rough.
was starting but now the battery is down or starter has gone out.Could be a minor fix,carb trouble,maybe plugs and wires.Positively the motor will run.But basically selling for someone that wants the older body style,nice bumpers,rims and tires and pretty well most of the work has been done and ready to paint

Ford looks back on 50 years of the Mustang in Detroit

Ford has something special sitting in its booth here at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. In fact, it brought two special somethings in the form of the Ford Mustang 1 Concept that first saw the light of day in 1962 and the very first production Mustang that rolled off the production line in 1964.
These classic creations are sharing floor space with the brand-new 2014 Mustang in honor of the pony car's 50th Anniversary. Since Ford's latest 'Stang already made its auto show debut (at a number of locations, including Los Angeles), we think it's pretty cool that the Blue Oval did something special for its home-town show.

If there's one thing you can count on, it's that the renewed rivalry between the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro will never, ever cease. For every version of Ford's pony car, there's an equally potent Chevrolet. And so with the debut of the Camaro Z/28 earlier this year, Ford has responded with a track-focused 'Stang of its own, resurrecting the Shelby GT350 name.
It looks to be a fine piece of work, this Mustang, with power coming from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V8 that will produce "more than 500 horsepower" and "above 400" pound-feet of torque. That grunt runs to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, and a Torsen limited-slip differential keeps everything in line.
But that's hardly the most impressive piece of the GT350 puzzle. Ford has increased the Mustang GT's chassis stiffness for duty here in the Shelby, and the coupe employs MagneRide damping which automatically adjusts based on road conditions and driver inputs. It's a first both for the Blue Oval and for the segment. And speaking of firsts, the GT350 uses a flat-plane crankshaft - something Ford has never included in a production V8 before.
