1953 Ford 50th Aniversary Pickup on 2040-cars
Kalispell, Montana, United States
|
Here is a very nice classic Ford 1953 50th Anniversary Truck with only 14,222 miles on it. I am listing this truck, and another classic for a friend that wants to clean out one of his buildings. This is a remarkable survivor that has been started and ran periodically for the past 15 years but never driven any distance. It is solid front to back and the paint is good but could use a cut and buff. He is the third owner of this truck and it has been in his possession for the past 35 years and stored. No rust or evidence of any showing through the paint. Frame and underneath is in great condition and would make a very nice piece in any collection with some work, or a very fun driver. Some extra parts and goodies will come with it. Truck was totally restored about 15 years ago and it looks very nice still. Good solid Montana truck where there is no salt air to deal with!!! |

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86
Wed, 26 Jun 2013On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.
2016 Ford Mustang getting California Special treatment
Fri, May 8 2015The sixth-generation Mustang hasn't even been around for a full year, but Ford is already prepping a couple of tweaks for 2016. We've now learned that there will be a California Special version, and if that name sounds familiar, it's because Ford has a long history of doing the GT/CS treatment on its 'Stangs. We don't have anything to go on right now, save the image you see here. But previous California Special versions were limited to things like new wheels, spoilers, badges, and some paint options, so we aren't expecting anything too drastic. It's also unclear if Ford will offer the new GT/CS on both the coupe and convertible, or if it'll just stick to the hardtop. We'll get the full details on Monday, May 11 – that's when Ford will reveal everything it's done for the 2016 Mustang lineup. Stay tuned.
