2000 Ford Excursion Limited Diesel
Thanks for viewing this gorgeous 2000 EXCURSION 7.3 DIESEL offered by Davis AutoSports!!!! Like with all of our vehicles here, this is a Carfax Certified Buy Back Vehicle. This Excursion is in AMAZING condition in every aspect for the year and mileage. The previous owner took great care of this truck both cosmetically and more importantly mechanically. This rare find will come with a VA state inspection to assure that it is in great mechanical condition!!!! This truck looks and drives GREAT!!! These 7.3 Excursions are getting VERY hard to come across specially in this type of condition and with ONLY 88K MILES !!!!! THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS EXCURSION ISNT EVEN THE MILES OR CONDITION, ITS THE SERVICE HISTORY, THIS PREVIOUS OWNER SPENT $1000'S IN SERVICING THIS TRUCK WITH RECORDS TO SHOW!!!!! ONLY THE BEST THE FLUIDS AND PARTS WERE USED WHEN SERVICING THIS EXCURSION !!!!!
THIS TRUCK JUST RECENTLY RECEIVED A $2800 SERVICE INCLUDING ALL NEW ROTORS, PADS, CALIPERS, TIRES, TRANNY FLUSH, AND MUCH MORE!!!!
Exterior Condition
The exterior of this vehicle is in NEAR FLAWLESS condition for the year and has been well cared for. The paint has a PERFECT SHINE and SUPER SMOOTH FINISH. The owner informed me it received 3-4 waxes per year and annual paint protection sealant. I tried to include as many pictures as possible so you can see the true condition of the car.....This truck is GORGEOUS in person. You will be very very impressed with with the condition of exterior. Please keep in mind this is a pre-owend vehicle so it will show some very minor wear. This car was covered and away from the weather and its clearly shows. This truck stayed hooked up to a battery tender and started once a week for 45 mins if not driven, yes the owner was the fickle. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD, THIS TRUCK HAS ZERO RUST ISSUES, I HAVE INCLUDED ALL UNDERCARRIAGE PHOTOS BELOW TO SHOW THERE ARE NO RUST ISSUES, PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF WHEN BUYING THESE AS THEY DO HAVE RUST ISSUES. IF THE SELLER DOESNT HAVE UNDERCARRIAGE PHOTOS, ITS FOR A REASON. THIS UNDERCARRIAGE STILL HAS THE FACTORY ISSUED STICKERS AND CHALK MARKINGS.
Interior Condition
The interior of this Excursion is in Amazing condition for the year and mileage. The carpets look great as you will see in the photos as they have been protected with HUSKY floor mats. The seats look AMAZING for the year and mileage. The owner had rear DVD Entertainment which stays with the truck as well as a back up camera system. The rear passenger area is great condition. The headliner has no issues and is very very clean. All dash areas and door panels are very clean with no wear. All power components work absolutely perfect and the AC is ICE ICE cold. The photos below will show EVERY part of the interior so you can see for yourself how clean it is.
This truck is in great condition in every way, the motor runs great and is very strong and starts up fine with no issues. All driving components work just as they should, the tranny is nice and tight and shifts very smooth, the brakes work great as they were just serviced. The complete drive-train has no issues. As great condition as this car is, IT IS a pre owned car therefore you will find some minor wear from it being driven, both interior and exterior. I would also like to add the AC is ICE cold !!!

With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.

Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show

The changes happening at the Petersen Museum have been making the rounds in major press, but it probably won't be until August 18, during Pebble Beach, when we get the full story on what's happening; that's where and when museum reps plan on announcing the way forward for the SoCal institution. In the meantime, the museum is still reorganizing its collection, and that means auctioning some of its showpieces at this weekend's Auctions America event in Burbank.
Three of the stars are a 1964 Shelby Cobra 289, one of less than 20 produced with a three-speed C-4 automatic transmission, a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300SL owned by actor Robert Stack and the last 1948 Ford Sportsman 'Woodie' ever produced. The Cobra, now restored to its original white exterior and red leather interior, was a factory demonstrator that first sold for $5,250. Showing just 38,950 miles on the odometer, its pre-sale estimate is $800,000 to $1 million.
The 300SL is actually a 1957 model but wasn't titled until Robert Stack took possession in 1960. The lead actor in the The Untouchables TV series used to drive by the Sunset Boulevard Mercedes dealership to ogle the car, but couldn't justify spending the money to buy it. When he and the producer of The Untouchables won Emmys for the show, the producer, who happened to be Desi Arnaz, bought the car for Stack. He owned it his whole life, it has been left as Stack drove it and still bears the California license plate "UNTCHBL."
