2003 Limited Ford Excursion RWD 7.3L Powerstroke

Only 18% of the 2003 had the 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel, Florida truck its whole life until two years ago. No rust at all and the paint is in excellant condition. 154,350 miles!!! Run the VIN and you will see. All the options, heated seats, heated mirrors, adjustable gas pedal, Factory DVD player, XM radio. 6" Pro Competition lift kit, rear lift springs not blocks! 35" Toyo tires, 18" Moto wheels, R1 Concepts drilled and slotted rotors, Hawk brake pads, Replaced the Factory DVD Player with one that works, 2006 Grill, and Chrome front bumper. This truck is still able to go through Mikes Car wash.
Brand new Upper and lower ball joints both sides, new power steering pump, rear pinion seal, new radiator hoses, new fuel drain petcock, o-rings, and filter, Transmission and coolant flushed routinely, synthetic oil. Had the front windshield re-sealed as there was way too much wind noise. This truck runs and drives like it's new. No slop in the steering whatsover!
Truck has a few small door dings, the steering wheel is still pretty nice, if you have looked at other Excursions or Heavy Duty trucks you know what I am talking about.

Front seat bottoms show some wear and 2nd seat has a small tear. Price reflects this and is listed to sale quick. Giving buyers a chance at a real nice truck, I have dealers calling me everyday since its on Craigslist and they want to buy it at a stupid price and resale it at a crazy price. New OEM seat covers for the front seat bottoms with arm rests and 2nd seat bottom are $699. If I replace them this truck is easily worth $17,000 to $18,000. I paid $17,650.00 two years ago without the lift kit, tires, rotors, and the DVD didnt't work. This truck is ready to go another 200,000 miles easily.

Everything works on this truck as it should, no warning lights, no loud rattles, and no vibrations!!!

I have more pictures I will post tonight and you can request more if needed. This is a super clean excursion!!!

Amelia Island 2013: 50 years of the Ferrari-slaying Ford GT40

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Originally developed with the sole purpose of being a Ferrari rival to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 became a prominent racing machine in the 1960s in both Europe and the US. Not wanting to leave such an important car out of the fun, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance also took time out from its other celebrations to recognize the 50-year anniversary of the GT40.
Over its short lifespan, the GT40 was offered in a handful of configurations, but the classic short-tailed (Mk I and Mk II) bodystyles were well represented... especially in Gulf livery. James Glickenhaus (of Ferrari P4/5 fame) had his bright yellow Mk IV in the field, and there were several others in this bodystyle, including one that has seen plenty of time on the track judging by its chipped-up nose.
As a fitting statement for the car's lengthy racing history, GT40 Chassis Number 1075 won this year's Concours de Sport award. This car took home the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969, and racked up a total of six wins in just 11 races.

Ford bringing adaptive steering to the masses [w/video]

Thu, 29 May 2014

Within the next year, Ford will offer a brand-new adaptive steering system (unimaginatively dubbed "Ford Adaptive Steering"), and this week, the automaker invited us out to its proving grounds in Dearborn, MI to get a taste for how its new setup works. In function, Ford's system doesn't greatly differ from the majority of other adaptive steering units already on the market from companies like Audi or BMW, but consider this: Ford will be the first non-luxury automaker to offer this technology, and uniquely, the whole system fits inside the car's steering wheel.
Ford's engineers have worked hard to create a system that can be tacked on to the company's full lineup of cars, trucks and utility vehicles, and says that the adaptive steering will be uniquely tuned for each specific vehicle. The automaker will not confirm exactly which vehicle will launch with this technology, but for the purpose of our preview, we tested the technology in a 2014 Fusion - a vehicle with already-good behind-the-wheel feel, one that the company says best demonstrates its current steering efforts.
