Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Cvpi Cop Car Cruiser Drive Anywhere! on 2040-cars
Nutley, New Jersey, United States
This car is from Florida: No East coast Winters full of salt. Very LOW miles. Drive train and engine run like perfection. Smooth, body on phrame construction, incredibly powerful for a heavy car. Rear wheel drive (New tires!), tight steering, no leaks, no smoke, no shuddering, knocking… nothing amiss. Very fun at highway speed. Just had alternator replaced ($372. Have receipt) Has a yr warranty and was purchased 11/20/2013 Just had full tune up done ($550 bill. Have receipt) – new sparks, fluids, etc. Had trans fluid flushed as well. All lights, wipers, horn, interior lighting, high beams, heat & a/c and radio work. Included is a Performance upgrade chip from G Force (Read about it online) was $70 and claims to increase horses & gas mileage! I never got round to installing it. Battery is from 3/14/2013 Super fast, super smooth, suspension is incredible. Beautiful dual chrome exhaust tips and all seats look perfectly new. Is a 2003 (opposed to 05 and on*) so has heavy duty, high speed capable drive shaft. Overdrive equipped. Two keys. The bad: Front power lumbar does not work. Radio speakers are ‘ok’, not great. Has standard holes in dash from police equipment. Paint, although very fresh… put on right before I bought it by a Florida dealership, is like an 8 out of 10. Was originally white. Rear door handles do not open from inside*** Mechanically, in amazing shape. I enjoy the car, but think I want a new mustang GT instead. (I miss having a stick)
Prefer cash, or certified check. Must clear before car leaves me. You can test drive, but you better bring cash… you crash my car…. ‘you break it, you bought it…’ As much as I’ve searched, and currently found no faults: No warranty express, nor implied. Car is 11 years old. I've put on about 4,500 miles since I had it, and have had no issues. Car is for sale locally. I reserve right to end auction **Any time** Still on the fence for selling her, as I know she'll prove her money's worth, in spades... Take care.

Ford confirms launch of new Tourneo vans and Ecosport in Europe for Geneva
Sun, 24 Feb 2013We've already seen plenty of what the Geneva Motor Show will have in store for us in less than two weeks, but most of the confirmed debuts that were announced so far have generally been luxury or performance cars. Ford, on the other hand, will be showing off a couple of its new family-friendly models for European buyers to enjoy.
On the larger side of things, the full range of Tourneo vans (shown above) will be on display, including the introduction of the new Tourneo Courier model, but Ford will also be showing off the all-new EcoSport crossover, which is based on the automaker's Global B platform and will be positioned beneath the Kuga, better known here as the Escape. The subcompact EcoSport was originally unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show last April.
Exceptionally rare '65 Ford GT40 Roadster prototype up for auction
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Think of mid-engined supercars and your mind is bound to gravitate towards Europe, but the United States has been known to make a handful from time to time - exceptional vehicles from the likes of Vector, SSC, Mosler, Hennessey, and Saleen. But long before any of those came around, Ford famously became obsessed with beating Ferrari at its own game, leading to the development of the iconic GT40.
The story is well known, sending Ford to the checkered flag at Le Mans four times in a row in the late 1960s. Ford and Shelby also built over 100 for public consumption, but just four of them were roadsters. Of those only one remains in original condition, and now that exceedingly rare example going up for auction.
Consigned to RM Auctions for its mid-August sale during Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, California, this 1965 model is the first GT40 Roadster built. It was used as a development and demonstration vehicle for Ford and Shelby. Carroll Shelby himself drove Henry Ford II in this very car during one of many test and demo events, this time held for Ford's board of directors in Los Angeles.
2015 Ford Expedition stays the course, adds EcoBoost power
Tue, 18 Feb 2014The era of the body-on-frame, fullsize SUV is rapidly vanishing in favor of smaller, unibody crossovers. However, Ford still sees life in the segment with the reveal of the updated 2015 Expedition, now available (solely) with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. The new truck will make its public debut at the 2014 DFW Auto Show in Dallas on February 19.
The loss of the previous 5.4-liter V8 in favor of Ford's 3.5-liter, direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine might rankle some of the Expedition's fans, but Ford claims that the change gives the SUV better fuel economy, more power and increased low-end torque than before. Unfortunately, official engine specifications won't be released until later this year, but Ford says engine output will be similar to the 365 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque that this powerplant produces in other applications. The EcoBoost is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the SUV now uses electrically assisted power steering, for an even greater fuel economy advantage. Ford claims this also allows for better maneuverability at low speeds and better feel at high speeds.
Exterior styling is basically unchanged for 2015. The front end has the same three-bar chrome grille and headlight design, but the lower air dam gets added chrome and LED lamps. The rear gets more brightwork on the hatch, and there's a chrome-tipped exhaust pipe. As before, Ford is offering the Expedition in two wheelbase lengths - 119 inches and 131 inches. A new, optional, continuously controlled damping system alters suspension settings constantly based on 46 parameters and offers comfort, normal and sport modes (just like the Expedition's sister, the recently refreshed and decidedly less-attractive Lincoln Navigator).
