2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Dark Toreador Red Metallic 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with Charcoal interior.
It never was a marked unit! It never had a cage! Tinted windows. Recently out of service in North Carolina.
Individual Assigned Supervisor take-home vehicle.

108,372 documented miles and 2191 idle hours.

Clear Title, Maintenance Records, User Manuals, Window Sticker and CarFax in-hand.

CarFax shows 3 collisions. I have these minor damages documented through photos and repair records. One collision was only the front license plate bracket!

Interior/exterior holes for police equipment plugged.

This unit is nice inside and out and has been very well-maintained. Even over-maintained from the records. 39 oil changes!
It is very responsive and smooth-shifting.
This car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives excellent.
A/C is COLD. It has the correct Goodyear RSA Tires including spare. Front tires are 8/32 and rear tires are 7/32 of tread.
The rear door-open rods are installed and the locks and doors work.

I am the second owner and have enjoyed the car for 8 months.

As with any used vehicle, it does show wear, chips, dings etc.

Notable things I should mention. It has 3 dings the size of a BB. One on the left rear roof. One on the back of
the trunk lid beside the Ford emblem and one on the rear passenger door. There is some cracking to the paint
on the left rear bumper cover corner. These minor things are hard to capture in a photo. It had 3 antennas on the rear.
2 were on the trunk lid and 1 on the trunk inside channel. Those holes are plugged. The only thing that does not work,
is the ticket light. I did not see the factory wires in the headliner when I pulled the light down. Should be there.
The driver seat has 2 holes on the outside hinge area. 1 about dime size and the other about quarter size.
**Since the pictures, the antenna on the rear quarter-panel has been removed.

Here is what I have done to the car :
I put an aftermarket Chrome grille on it. I have the Factory black honeycomb if you would like that better.
I put a quality console in it.
Oil Changed.
Detailed wash/wax.
Removed old pin-stripe and installed new 3m pin-stripes.
Installed rear brake pads.
Rotate/balance tires.

2015 Ford F-150 to get 2.7-liter EcoBoost?

As we prepare for the arrival of the all-new, next-generation Ford F-150, rumors about the new truck are picking up steam. Naturally, many of said rumors aren't just related to the way the truck will look (it's expected to take design cues from the Atlas concept shown above), they're tied to what's going to motivate the Blue Oval mainstay, with Ford's EcoBoost range likely to play an increasingly key role. While we're still expecting the current 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 to retain its position as a premium alternative to Ford's naturally aspirated V6 and V8, a Canadian automotive news site is proposing that the Dearborn automaker is also preparing a new, more fuel-efficient downsized EcoBoost option.
Autos.ca is reporting that a new, 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 could find its way into the lighter, aluminum-intensive truck. The new engine supposedly makes use of asymmetrical turbos to generate 320 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque - substantially more impressive numbers than the current 3.7-liter base engine's 302 ponies and 278 lb-ft - while offering improved fuel economy and emissions. The new 2.7 EcoBoost (internally dubbed "Nano") isn't expected to supplant the naturally aspirated V6 as the F-150's base engine, it's expected to slot in above directly it.
Naturally, we're prescribing more than a few grains of salt to go with these rumors, at least until Ford debuts the next F-150 at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, a reveal we'll be covering in a mere two weeks.

NHTSA will investigate some Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ models for power steering issue

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening an investigation into the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ, the 2012 MKZ Hybrid and 2011 Mercury Milan because the agency has hundreds of complaints of electric power steering failure in these models.
According to NHTSA's data, it has received 508 complaints of the power steering allegedly suddenly malfunctioning and resulting in increased effort to turn the wheel. In four incidents, these failures resulted in loss of control and crashes. According to the reports, in some cases a power steering warning message came on as the fault occurred, and other times the system restored itself by turning off and then restarting the vehicle. NHTSA said it has also received further field report data from Ford, but that information hasn't been publicly released yet.
For the moment, there isn't a recall for this failure on these models. NHTSA is just investigating them to "assess the scope, frequency and safety consequences of the alleged defect," and the agency says an estimated 938,000 vehicles could potentially be affected.

Ford To Unveil Solar Hybrid Concept Car At CES

Ford plans to unveil at this month's International CES gadget show a solar-powered concept car that offers the same performance as a plug-in hybrid but without the need for a plug. The C-Max Solar Energi Concept car uses a gasoline engine combined with a gizmo that acts like a magnifying glass to concentrate the sun's rays on the vehicle's roof-mounted solar panels. The automaker says the vehicle's estimated combined city-highway mileage is 100 miles (160 kilometers) per gallon. The U.S. auto maker says that by using solar power instead of an electric plug, a typical owner will reduce their annual greenhouse gas emissions by four metric tons. The company says it sold about 85,000 hybrid or electric vehicles in 2013, including 6,300 units of its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid. The sun-ray concentrator was developed by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology and uses what is known as a Fresnel lens, which concentrates light but can be made thinner than a conventional lens. A full day of sunshine is equivalent to a four-hour battery charge, or 8 kilowatts, Ford says. On a full charge, it should have a range of 620 miles (997 kilometers), the same as the C-Max Energi. The concept car also comes with a plug-in port for standard electric charging. Ford says that 75 percent of all trips made by an average driver could be powered by the sun. After showing off the concept car at the convention in Las Vegas Jan. 7-10, Ford Motor Co. says that it will test the vehicle with institute researchers to determine if it's feasible for mass production.
