1988 Ltd Crown Victoria Lx Station Wagon (not A Country Squire) on 2040-cars
Glassboro, New Jersey, United States

Factory LTD without the fake wood sides (those are Country Squires, this is an LTD Crown Victoria Station Wagon). Previous owners were non-smokers. Paint is faded but body and chrome are in good shape. There are a couple small dings on the back. Badging are missing. There is a patch where the clear coat is flaking off on the side of the left front quarter panel and there is some orange peel rust coming through the bottom of the left rear quarter panel. My mechanic says it is rusty underneath but not rusted through. The magic gate in back opens, but must be slammed hard to shut and the window doesn't roll down. This is an LX version with all the goodies and most everything works except the AC and the rear drivers side window. It has a 5.0 fuel injected V8 with a limited slip rear differential. The interior is in excellent condition. No dash cracks. No rips to the dark blue velour bench seats. Headliner is clean, in tact, and not sagging. So far have put over $3,000 into it. New tires and alignment, new smog pump, new thermostat, new headlights, new steel fuel line, new steel brake line, rear axle bearings repacked and resealed. Passed NJ inspection with a sticker until 2015. Runs and stops. I use it as a daily driver. Having said that, this is a 25 year old car with lots of squeaks and rattles. The motor runs strong. Just turned over 100K. The AC doesn't work and needs a conversion. I am offering the car as is with no warranty intended or implied. Winning bidder pays shipping or transportation costs. I have clean title and will exchange for cash only. I purchased this car in June from the second owner. He was a mechanic and used it to haul parts out in Red Lion, PA. Apparently, for the last couple years he was in ill health and died early this year. The car had been sitting for several months when I bought it from his widow and began putting money into it. Recently, I was transferred to a facility that is much farther away and as much as I love this car (so does everyone once else -- lots of honks and people coming up to you in supermarket parking lots), it will be too expensive for me to drive it back and forth now which is why I am considering selling it assuming the price is right.

2021 Ford Raptor vs Ram TRX Specs Compared
Tue, Aug 31 2021Hopefully by now you've had a chance to read our thorough 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor review. If not, check it out, 'cause you'll find a lot more detail and expertise than normal (for Autoblog or anywhere) thanks to Dan Edmunds' vast engineering and off-roading background. If you want all the dirt on the Raptor, pun intended, that's where to turn. If you just want to gaze at the specs, however, and wonder how they compare to the old Raptor or to the Ram TRX, check out the chart below. There you will find dimensions, clearances, angles, weights, capacities, engine output and fuel economy for the 2021 Raptor with both 35-inch and 37-inch tires. As Dan explains in his first drive, there's actually more going on there than just tire sizes. You'll find the same specs for the outgoing second-generation Raptor plus the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX and the less extreme Ram Rebel trim level in the chart, too. Other reviews and deep dives about the F-150 and TRX 2021 Ram 1500 TRX First Drive Review Our review of the Raptor's chief competitor, the mighty TRX. That just sounds like we're talking about Jurassic Park. 2021 Ram TRX Suspension Deep Dive and RTI ramp test Follow along with engineer Dan Edmunds as he takes you under the TRX and explains everything there is to know about its suspension -- and how it's able to do what it does. 2021 Ford F-150 Full-Line Review 2021 Ford F-150 Suspension Deep Dive It's a totally different F-150 flavor to be sure, but even the volume-selling XLT received a lot of work for 2021. Dan Edmunds takes you underneath the truck to show you what's different and what difference it makes. BMW to follow Honda back into F1?
Mon, 14 Apr 2014The economic downturn wrought devastating effects on motor racing. Formula One alone lost half its engine suppliers when Honda left at the end of the 2008 season, and both BMW and Toyota followed at the end of 2009. But things are looking up again. Cosworth may have dropped out this season, reducing the engine suppliers to three: Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes, the latter of which admits that it may have left had the engine formula not changed. But Mercedes has stayed and is dominating the championship. Honda is coming back next season. And word around the paddock is it may not be the only one.
According to Giancarlo Minardi - founder of the team now known as Scuderia Toro Rosso - BMW engineers have been conspicuously spotted lately at F1 test sessions and grands prix, lending to speculation that the new engine regulations may entice the Bavarian automaker back into the series. According to Minardi, BMW's marketing division is pushing for the automaker's return to F1, with the board slated to make a decision in May. BMW would be more likely to consider an engine-supply deal rather than taking a team over like it had with Sauber, but with which team or teams it might collaborate remains a big question mark at this point.
As if that's not enough, Ford is said to be considering taking over Cosworth's aborted V6 turbo engine program to take both outfits back into the sport as well. Cosworth supplied F1 engines under the Ford banner for years, but returned under its own name for four seasons from 2010 through 2013 before shuttering its program to develop an engine to meet the new regulations adopted this season.
Ford Fiesta ST customs get wild at SEMA
Tue, 05 Nov 2013The massive 57-car SEMA showcase by Ford ranges from obvious aftermarket-friendly models like the Mustang, to the not so obvious ones, like the Transit Connect and cute-as-an-explosive-button Fiesta ST. Ford plucked several Fiesta STs for SEMA duty, and we were on the show floor today to get a closer look at some of them.
First up is the striking COBB Tuning and Tanner Foust Racing Fiesta ST (above) finished in a black-and-gray digital camouflage, much like that used in the military, and is meant to raise awareness for the Pat Tillman Foundation. COBB also fitted a three-inch exhaust and a cold-air intake. A new shift knob, carbon-fiber hood and a Kicker stereo round out the mix of upgrades.
MRT got its hands on a Fiesta ST and created a car inspired by Forza Motorsport 5 (below, left). Featuring a two-tone paint job and more performance upgrades than you can shake a stick at, this Fiesta ST is one of the cooler compacts at Ford's stand. A high-performance exhaust system, along with a complimentary COBB induction system, allows the ST to breathe better, while an H&R coil over suspension and Steeda brakes help it stop and turn better than stock.
