HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN PROBABLY ONE OF THE RAREST,LOWEST MILE 25TH ANNIVERSARY 1990 SALEEN MUSTANGS OUT THERE, WITH ONLY 5,560 MILES THE CAR IS AS CLOSE TO NEW AS IT GETS. THE CAR HAS BEEN STORED FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS IN A GARAGE AND COVERED. I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM THE ORGINAL OWNER, THE NEW OWNER OF THIS CAR WILL BE THE SECOND OWNER AS I DID NOT REGISTER IT. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES THE CAR LOOKS BRAND NEW. FROM WHAT I HAVE FOUND THE  FIVE STAR WHEELS, 200 MPH SPEEDOMETER  AND SALEEN INTAKE ARE RARE. I PUT BRAND NEW TIRES ON THE CAR DUE TO FLAT SPOTS. UNDER THE CAR ALL THE RUBBER IS ALSO LIKE NEW WITH NO CRACKS OR WEAR. I HAVE OWNED A LOT OF CARS AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CAR MORE PRESERVED THAT IS 24 YEARS OLD THEN THIS ONE. YOU WILL NOT FIND A NICER MUSTANG THAN THIS ONE UNLESS GO BACK IN TIME TO 1990 AND BUY ONE. CAR WAS ORDERED AT DAMEROW BEAVERTON FORD IN BEAVERTON,OREGON. CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND OBVIOUSLY RARELY DRIVEN. WHEN THE CAR WAS SHIPPED FROM ALASKA, WHERE THE OWNER LIVED, TO ARIZONA THE SHIPPERS SCRAPED THE FRONT LOWER VALANCE. IT WAS REMOVED, SANDED AND PAINTED BACK TO ORIGINAL BUT THEY NEVER REPLACED THE STRIPE. BEFORE CAR IS SHIPPED OUT I WILL HAVE THIS REPLACED.

ENGINE IS A 5.0 INJECTED V8 WITH GT40 HEADS FORD SVT B303 CAMSHAFT AND A SVT 5.0 LITER SC ENGINE KIT/PERFORMANCE PACKAGE (ENHANCED COLD AIR INTAKS,MASS AIR FLOW METER,THROTTLE BODY,UPPER AND LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD AND CHROME HEADERS)

SPRAYED-ON CHASSIE UNDERCOATING FOR RUST PREVENTION. BUT THE CAR NEVER SEEN BAD WEATHER

THE CAR HAS A 5000.00 NAKAMICHI-ADS SOUND SYSTEM, 5 DISC CD CHANGER,PULL OUT RADIO AND SPEAKER BOX THAT WAS INSTALLED (WORKS BUT A LITTLE OUT DATED)

ALSO COMES WITH ALL ORIGINAL DOCS AND PAPERWORK.ALSO AS IN PICS IS THE SALEEN JACKET THAT WAS WITH THE CAR.

OK SOMEONE AT EITHER DMV OR CAR FAX SCREWED UP. SOMEONE JUST BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE MILES HAVE A ERROR.

MY GUESS IS, THAT SOME ONE WITH FAT FINGERES, OR NO COMMOM SENSE JUST THOUGHT IT WAS IMPOSSABLE TO HAVE A 1990 MUSTANG WITH LESS THAT 5,000 MILES ON IT. SO IF THE FIRST GUY PUTS IN 104,212 INSTEAD OF 4,212 IT JUST KEEPS GOING FROM THERE INTILL SOME FIXES IT. WHICH I'AM GOING TO TRY TO DO. THERE IS NO WAY THIS CAR HAS MORE THEN 5,500 MILES ON IT. NOT TO MENTION YOU WOULD HAVE TO DO ALOT DRIVING TO COVER 103,000 IN 2 YEARS AND STILL HAVE A CAR THAT LOOKS THIS GOOD. I ALSO POSTED SOME PICS OF RECIEPTS FROM THE DEALER AND OIL CHANGES WITH THE CORRECT MILES AND DATES, ALSO THE TITLE THAT WAS JUST ISSUED, SHOWS MILES THAT WERE LAST RECORDED AT 5,300 MILES.

THE DATES CONFIRM SOMEONE ADDED 100K BY MISTAKE

Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.

Mercury rises around sexy Cougar pack

Sat, May 30 2015

With a slightly larger body and a more luxurious interior, the Mercury Cougar doesn't carry quite as much cachet among pony car enthusiasts as the venerable Ford Mustang. But don't try to make that argument around Cougar super-fan Mike Brown. Since starting his Cougar collecting in 1988, Brown has become an absolute expert on the model, and he claims to have owned 400 of the Mercury pony cars in that time. Ten of them are in his collection today, not to mention a heap of spare parts in the garage. Check out some of the rarer members of Brown's fleet and allow him to tell you about them in this interesting interview from Electric Federal.

Recharge Wrap-up: Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive is a rock star, FedEx tests electric trucks

Thu, Oct 2 2014

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive is in a new music video for I Lived by OneRepublic. The band's singer, Ryan Tedder, has also been brought on as a brand ambassador for the German automaker. OneRepublic will also be performing the song at the Mercedes-Benz Media Night on the eve of the Paris Motor Show. No word if Mercedes plans to offer hordes of screaming teenage fans as an option package with the B-Class Electric Drive. See the video (the car shows up around the four-minute mark) or read more in the press release below. FedEx is testing converted electric delivery trucks with diesel range extenders. Looking to shrink its carbon footprint, the company has converted a handful of trucks as part of a pilot program. In addition to battery packs, each truck is equipped with diesel turbine generators (supplied by Ian Wright's company, Wrightspeed) to provide electricity when the battery is depleted. Because the diesel motors aren't powering the vehicle directly, they can continuously run at their most efficient speed, making the trucks about twice as efficient as those powered by traditional means. Read more at Wired. Ford's new aluminum-bodied F-150 will be 5 to 20 percent more efficient, the company says. The fuel economy gains depend on the particular version of the truck, but the biggest improvement will likely come from the 3.5-liter V6 and the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6. Automotive News predicts the F-150 SFE to be rated at 21 mpg city/28 highway/23 combined, which are identical figures to the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. The result could be a noteworthy fuel economy battle between Ford and Ram trucks. Learn more at Automotive News. The US Department of Energy is providing $25 million in funding toward reducing the price of algal biofuels. The goal is to get the price of these renewable fuels below $5 per gasoline gallon equivalent (gge) by 2019, and less than $3 per gge by 2030. The money will fund projects to develop better algal cultures that produce biofuel and other useful bioproducts, and projects to boost biomass productivity. The DOE says it wants to help develop a "bioeconomy" that provides jobs, helps the environment and ensures energy security. Read more at Energy.gov. This content is hosted by a third party.
