2008 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Oto (one To One) on 2040-cars
Pacific Palisades, California, United States
I have reluctantly decided to list my 2008 Ferrari Scaglietti OTO in a rare, classic and beautiful Avorio / Ivory (ext.) / Cioccolato (int.) color combination. I have all service records documented and can share upon request. The big major service was performed this year in late March at Penske Wynn Ferrari. Annual fluid change also was just performed this month and brand new TPMS were sensors installed at the same time (the original TPMS batteries gave out). 4 brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires were installed all around in July of this year. In excellent condition. Clear bra paint protection film on front of car and mirrors. No dents or dings. No sticky rubber or shrinking leather. Always stored indoors and with sun shield to protect interior. Only things that I can think to disclose is some minor curb rash on wheels (that I will have addressed for buyer upon request). The 612 Scaglietti OTO (One To One) has many mechanical and cosmetic improvements / additions from the earlier (2005-2006 and some 2007 models) including: Manettino and Start Button on steering wheel Photo-Chromatic glass roof that goes from black to clear with the turn of a dial Twin plate dual clutch & transaxle case (from 599) F1 Superfast Gearbox Carbon Ceramic Brakes Sports Exhaust Bose Multimedia Nav System Challenge OEM wheels Gorgeous diamond quilt pattern on interior leather. Hardwired K40 radar detector/laser jammer (front and rear modules) and clear bra installed on front. I can take more photos upon request. PPI and shipping are welcome at buyers expense. If interested, a great background article on the 612 including history and model year differences can be read here. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you! |

Ferrari takes over Rodeo Drive to introduce F60 America
Sun, 12 Oct 2014Unless you own a very special Ferrari, the only way you were going to park on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills today was to walk there and sit down on a bench. Otherwise, occupying the length of the plutomaniac's thoroughfare was everything from a 1948 166 MM Barchetta, the very first Ferrari imported to the United States, to the brand new 458 Speciale A, introduced at the Paris Motor Show earlier this month. A collection of 60 significant Ferraris were on display to celebrate the marque's 60th anniversary as a US citizen, and it was the most impressive gathering of Italian metal we've seen since the company threw its 50th anniversary event at Pebble Beach a decade ago. How about a Le Mans class-winning 250 GTO, the 1954 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe that won best of show at Pebble Beach back in August, or one of the stunning 330 P4 race cars that was part of the 1-2-3 finish at Daytona in 1967? All parked on Rodeo Drive.
The special-est of them all received an introduction from new company chairman Sergio Marchionne, that being the F60 America. Only for the US, with all ten of them already sold for a reported $2.5M each, the F60 America reaches back to early America-branded offerings like the 340 and 375, and US-focused convertibles like the 1967 275 NART Spider, 1969 365 GTS4 Daytona Spider and 2005 575 Superamerica.
Unlike those Spiders, however, the F60 America is a voluptuous departure from the F12 Berlinetta it's based on, with the subtracted top opening up the flex of its hips, pairing nicely with the swell over the front fenders. As we told our photographer Drew Phillips, we're looking at the future of Pebble Beach, and you can enjoy it in the photos above or the rest of the Ferraris on display in the gallery below.
See what the Chevy C7 ZR1 may be benchmarked against
Tue, 07 May 2013One of the greatest things every Corvette has had going for it, and also one of the most re-used arguments against it, is its price-to-performance equation - long before the Nissan GT-R became the de facto Porsche 911 comparator the Corvette spent decades as Exhibit A. Depending on which side of the argument you stressed, supporters crowed about how much performance you got for how (comparatively) little, detractors carped on how little you got everywhere else in the bargain.
It appears Chevrolet is working as hard as ever to render the argument meaningless. Spy shooters at KGP captured a convocation of European birds of prey leaving the General Motors test center, and aimed at benchmarking the C7 Corvette ZR1. The road train comprised of two C7 Corvette Stingrays, a 2013 Corvette ZR1, McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari 458 Italia, Audi R8 V10 Spyder and Porsche 911 Carrera S and it was last seen heading down the same kinked-up back roads used to hone the Corvette Stingray.
The C7-series ZR1 and its possible 700 horsepower are still a ways off. If it really is being positioned to compete with the celestial exotica in the testing group, could it be the first Corvette to regularly be the first answer to the question "Cost no object, which would would you rather have?"
Ferrari makes its return to Need For Speed: Rivals in a big way
Thu, 14 Nov 2013With all the excitement over Forza Motorsport 5 and Gran Turismo 6, it's easy to forget that there's another racing game from an even older franchise coming out. The latest Need For Speed installment, Rivals, is set to hit stores November 15 (this Friday) for the Playstation 4, November 19 for PS3 and XBox 360, and November 22 for the XBox One. As part of the run up to the launch, we have a great look at all the new Ferrari content for the new title, which marks only the second time the Italian marque has been in an NFS game.
The last time we saw a prancing horse in Need For Speed was 2009's Shift, when we got ten models as part of a paid, downloadable pack. In anticipation of Ferrari's return to the series, we've got a gallery of images of some of the featured models, like the F12 Berlinetta (which we've shown you before), the FF, the Enzo, the 599 GTO and both the 458 Italia and Spider. All of which are bound to make for phenomenal tools for escaping the virtual cops.
We'll have a more extensive look at Need For Speed: Rivals in the near future, but until then, have a look at the game's Ferrari content up top.
