Full PPI completed with leak down and compression:  2-4% leak-down in all cylinders.  200-205 psi compression on all cylinders (measured dry). Photos of the leak down results can be emailed by request.  Brakes and rotors changed recently.  Tires have plenty of tread remaining.

Body is in excellent condition.  All paint is original to the car and shows very well. The interior has the usual minor wear on the seats but they are still in great shape.  The center console trim will need some parts replaced including the ash tray and the window switch bezel.  We will be taking care of these items for the high bidder.

Dash leather is in great shape with no stretching.  Passenger air bag is nice and tight and not pulling away from the dash.  Gauge pod has a minor spot were the leather is loose.  This should be an easy fix.

A/C blows ice cold and all vent settings are working properly.

We do not have the previous service history but we can see that the motor has been out of the car recently.  With that in mind we would recommend the buyer to have a major service performed in the near future.  We can do a major belt service including all fluids for $5500.  This is well below the normal price for this job and we would warranty the work.  There are no warning lights on the dash.  Sport suspension works great with no issues.  Car runs and drives excellent!

Mansory La Revoluzione shows at least a little restraint

Wed, 11 Sep 2013

Mansory has, yet again, taken a supercar and turned the dial up to 11. Or maybe 12 or 13. This time the base car is none other than the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, a V12-powered GT car. Compared to Mansory's previous Ferrari GT-based creation, the Rambo-inspired Stallone that had used both the 599 and 612 as its base, the new La Revoluzione is a welcome departure.
While the Revoluzione isn't what we'd call subtle, especially from the very front- and rear-most views, we appreciate the small amount of restraint Mansory showed when styling this deep red carbon fiber-bodied car, at least on the outside. As you can see in our image gallery above, the interior of this creation is quite loud and perhaps a little bit obnoxious.
We can't argue with the results seen underhood - claimed horsepower sits at over 1,200 from a twin-turbo 6.3-liter V12 engine. That many ponies pays the expected dividends in performance, with a 0-62 run of 2.9 seconds and a top speed listed at 230 miles per hour. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above.

Ferrari patent suggests one-off SP FFX

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

You remember that batch of patent drawings we brought you a couple of weeks ago showing an unspecified Ferrari coupe? The interwebs were ablaze in speculation over what the car depicted could be, and we've been watching them all until we landed on the one that seems to make the most sense.
While some speculated that this could be a new California, updated to look more like the F12 and FF, our friends over at Jalopnik suggest, with sound reason, that what we're actually looking at is what we figured in the first place: that this is a one-off FF-based coupe being built for a private customer.
Perhaps the single biggest indicator doesn't lie in the drawings themselves, but the detail that everyone else seemed to have missed: at the same time as these drawings were submitted, Ferrari filed for another patent with the Italian government for the name SP FFX and the logo pictured above.
