Up for auction is an EXTREMELY well cared for, clean and beautiful example of the body style people think of when they think classic FERRARI. Finished in traditional Italian coloring, rosso corsa exterior and tan interior, this is a 3 owner car, always serviced and garaged with cover. 28,000 miles. I have had a love affair with the marque since boyhood and am a fanatic for care...the car was washed and detailed (myself) immediately after drives of any extended length. The paint is in great shape, no leather shrinkage or cracking to be found on the dashboard or elsewhere and the gauges/switches are all functional, except the passenger side mirror - which only moves in 2 of 4 directions. This has not been a problem because I just set it and forget it as I am the only driver of the car. Car runs fantastic, shifts feel just like the Ferrari gated shifter should and the engine screams right up to redline. Starts immediately with a bark and idles smooth as silk - steering is CRISP. It is FUN to drive and offers the signature, visceral driving experience expected of Ferrari. Pinpoint balance, superb sound and all the performance one needs, all in a package with far lower ownership costs than those associated with the more modern counterparts. She's a looker as you're in it, for those who see you go by and when you walk away after a spirited drive!

No expense spared 30k major service performed in March '12 at one of the top service shops in the country (Ferrari of Seattle). I had them go through the car from stem to stern. That service INCLUDED: new Timing Belts, replacement of all fluids, 4 new tires/alignment, retrofit to R134 A/C, replacement of all rubber fuel lines and fuel pump, all new coolant lines, all new breather hoses, replaced gearbox and oil pan gaskets - everything that Mark suggested was done from top to bottom (amounted to over $17k before FCA discount) - car needs nothing and is turn-key as it gets. This year's annual service was recently completed in June of this summer ('13), also at Ferrari of Seattle.

EXTRAS include: the 'sportier' Euro-style Mirrors ($1600), brushed aluminum Fuel filler cap, silver gear shift knob, custom floor mats and Alpine CD player including ipod connector in center locking compartment. Performance and sound has also been upgraded with a Maranello exhaust which sounds GREAT! All original OEM parts are included (except radio) if new owner wishes to revert to a stock form.

Also included are a second set of keys and additional Ferrari fob, along with red car cover, tool kit, books and binder of service info.

CLEAN CARFAX.

Shipping is NOT included in auction price, though I have a flexible schedule to assist in loading car for shipment at any time during the day. Have many more pics if interested and can take videos as well. Am able to answer any additional questions either via email or text/phone(509-679-8462). Sale requires full payment within 3 days of auction ending.

Car is also listed for sale on other sites and I reserve the right to end this auction early if there are no bids on this site and I get an acceptable offer elsewhere.

Owning this car has been all I ever dreamt it would be. She deserves a new home with an equally devoted owner, to enjoy many more miles with! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

Ferrari hybrid V8 arriving next year, could power Ferrari SUV

Mon, Mar 12 2018

Ferrari CEO Sergio Marchionne told Auto Express that the world can expect a V8 hybrid from Maranello next year. He said, "The test mules are out now," but what he wouldn't tell the Brit mag is where that V8 hybrid will go. Everything else in Ferrari's lineup has been recently introduced or refreshed save for the 488, but the 488 is just two years old. With all of the current cars ruled out, the bettors wager on the hybrid V8 appearing in the Ferrari SUV that's also due next year. We've no idea how Maranello engineers will structure the electrical assistance, but Marchionne indicated "more of a traditional hybrid [than the LaFerrari] to fulfill a different role." That means a strictly performance-based kinetic energy recovery system likely steps aside for one that will "yield additional performance" as well as better fuel economy. In further comments to Top Gear — where he expressed a touch of disappointment in the firm's GT car designs and the possibility of a 250 GTO continuation — Marchionne said, "The hybrid element will be much more of a mainstay of the powertrain than it was in the LaFerrari." Look out for plug-in charging and some kind of all-electric range. If all of this speculation holds up come 2019, it also means the Ferrari SUV will reverse its competitors' playbooks — the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus, for instance, established themselves with their mightiest powertrains, then got around to plug-in hybrid models. A hybrid SUV would be smart, as we're coming up on an emission target escalation in 2020. Those targets only apply to carmakers selling more than 10,000 units per year, Ferrari sold nearly 8,400 cars last year and aims to crack 9,000 sales this year. The SUV will certainly put the Prancing Horse over the 10K barrier, and as a volume seller, relatively speaking, will make a worthwhile contribution to emissions values. Of course, you have to write Marchionne's quips in pencil, because they're prone to revision. It was only two years ago when Marchionne answered a question about the mere possibility of an SUV with, "You have to shoot me first." Later that same year, Marchionne said every Ferrari sold from 2019 onward would have some sort of hybrid element.

Here's the first production Ferrari Sergio, and it's already been delivered

Fri, Dec 5 2014

Not even three months after its production announcement, Ferrari has already delivered the first Sergio, a wildly modified 458 Spider meant to honor Sergio Pininfarina, founder of the eponymous design studio that has turned out so many memorable prancing horses. Unsurprisingly, the roofless Ferrari, the first of six, was delivered to the Middle East, going to the SBH Royal Auto Gallery in the United Arab Emirates' capital, Abu Dhabi. Ferrari handed over the keys at the Yas Marina Circuit, which is currently playing host to the Finali Mondiali Ferrari, the same place the FXX K debuted earlier this week. With a 605-horsepower, 4.5-liter V8, the Sergio can hit 60 miles per hour in just three seconds, although this particular Ferrari is about a lot more than performance. The Pininfarina styling is the real focus here, giving a few lucky owners the opportunity to enjoy concept-car styling in a road-legal machine. Unlike the original Sergio, that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, though, the production model is somewhat tamer. Blame the necessity that is the windshield. That, though is the most significant change in evidence. All the very best parts of the concept car have seemingly made it through to production, including the lovely forward-swept rollbar and the stylish black element that defines the profile. Take a look up top for the official images from Ferrari, and then scroll below for Maranello's press release. The first Ferrari Sergio arrives in the UAE Abu Dhabi, 5th December 2014 – The first Ferrari Sergio has arrived in the United Arab Emirates. It has been delivered today to its new owner, the SBH Royal Auto Gallery in the UAE, at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit, where the Finali Mondiali Ferrari are being staged and which is home to the Ferrari World theme park. Designed by Pininfarina, just six of this incredibly limited edition roadster are being built. The car was created to celebrate the spirit and core values of the historic Cambiano company in the 60th anniversary year of its collaboration with the Prancing Horse. Needless to say, Sergio was the only possible choice of name for the model, in homage to great Sergio Pininfarina, who sealed the unique, longstanding partnership with Ferrari. The Ferrari Sergio is a genuinely radical car. It is both exclusive and spare in the sense that every single element aboard is focused entirely on performance.

Evo takes a Ferrari F40 across the Alps

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

There are many great GTs we'd choose for a romp across the Alps. And Ferrari has made many of them. While we're not sure the hard-core, no-frills F40 would be our top choice for a transalpine journey, we certainly wouldn't turn down the opportunity.
Neither, it seems, could the guys at Evo. So when the British magazine's "secret supercar owner" - who keeps the editorial team stocked with exotic machinery - needed to get his F40 back across the mountains, he handed the keys over to Henry Catchpole, who was good enough to record and recount the experience in this latest behind-the-scenes video.
Needless to say it was a memorable experience, and one worth sharing.
