I am selling my extra car, it is a 2002 Dodge Stratus 2dr 3.0L. With only about 104,000 miles on it. I know the previous two owners of this vehicle personally, that's how I ended up with it. Has a little bit of history behind it as to why there is so many new and rebuilt parts. NOT a salvage. All repairs were done professionally. Here is a list of what this vehicle has to offer.

> BRAND NEW TIRES (less than 500 miles on them)
> New battery
> New brakes (all four, pads and rotors)
> New Transmission
> New computer
> Rebuilt Top End
> New Headlights

This car drives incredible. It has a long life ahead of it. My only remaining issues with the car is the exhaust has a good hum to it, the front clip has a crack, and I cannot seem to find the last grill piece anywhere. Otherwise this car runs and drives wonderfully.

Here is the short version of the story on the car. The two previous owners were sisters who drove it through college. The transmission gave out some time ago and it was replaced. Some with some timing work. Then the car got in a fender bender. So the body work got done, front clip was repaired, the headlights were replaced and the hood was repaired and painted. Then the timing belt tensioner failed which ruined the top end of the motor, but the work was still under warranty. So the mechanics had to replace the whole top end of the motor for free. Then the transmission started to slip, and that had a three year warranty that was still good, and that got replaced for free. While they were doing that the computer was thought to be the problem, so they replaced that while they were at it. Then I bought new tires, brakes, and a battery for the car. Only thing is I already have two other vehicles so this one is just sitting around. It is Ready to go! Should make someone very happy. Come by and take it for a test drive. Title is clean, the car is registered and insured.

Thanks for looking!

Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.

Roadkill Nights writhes with 200 Dodge Vipers

Sun, Aug 13 2017

Some 200 Dodge Vipers from across the United States and Canada descended Saturday on Roadkill Nights, the FCA-sponsored event at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, that turned Woodward Avenue into a drag strip. The Vipers were there to mark this month's end of production of the wicked, hand-built, highly customizable performance car after 25 years. Vipers of every generation, color and stripe arrived en masse under a police escort, from the blue-and-white GTS-R to cars dressed in appropriate Snakeskin Green. Check out the gallery above. Halfway around the world, meanwhile, other Viper fans are trying to mark the car's production demise by claiming the record lap time at the Nurburgring. They ran a 7:03.45 lap in late July. And according to a Facebook post yesterday from the group, they've secured funding for more Ring time to make another attempt. Roadkill Nights racing was continuing until 11 Saturday night, and included drag events featuring the new Dodge Demon. Australian consumer activists destroy a Dodge Journey with a tank

Thu, Jun 30 2016

An Australian couple held an event where they crushed their unreliable and frustrating Dodge Journey with a retired army tank. According to Drive, Kate and Joe Masters owned an infuriating 2010 Dodge Journey that they claim was plagued by mechanical and electrical issues. After numerous failed attempts on their part to get the issues fixed by Fiat Chrysler and Dodge Australia, the couple decided that they'd had enough. Working with Queensland consumer advocate Ashton Wood, the Masters held an event where they smashed the Dodge with a sledgehammer and fired arrows at it. Finally, they rolled out a retired Centurion Mk.V tank and proceeded to crush the doomed Dodge monster truck-style. Fiat Chrysler issued a statement refuting many of the Masters' claims about both its vehicle and the steps taken to remedy the situation. The company claims that the vehicle was serviced outside of its dealer network and that the Masters did not work through established consumer complaint channels established by the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. "We had attempted to work proactively with this customer, offering free service work and free genuine parts after their warranty had expired," FCA said in a statement. "While Dodge Australia was keen to resolve this issue, we weren't in the position to issue the demanded refund of $43,000 for a vehicle purchased in 2011, that was driven for more than 100,000 kilometers (62,137 miles) and that has no known manufacturing defects, nor had any evidence provided by the owners to substantiate these claims. Queensland senator Glenn Lazarus, who was involved with the tank event, stated that Australian motorists need better consumer protections against automotive dealerships and manufacturers. "Countries around the world have successfully implemented lemon laws to provide consumers with protection and I believe it's about time we did the same in Australia," he said. Destroying cars in a public act of frustration is nothing new. In China, a Lamborghini Gallardo owner smashed his luxury ride with a sledgehammer after he felt he wasn't given a premium experience at the dealership.
