Hello diesel fans, my name is Lowell Miller and I love these older 2nd generation cummins diesels and have several of them in my business fleet. I recently purchased this beauty from Atlanta, Georgia. It was used by the Athens Auto Auction to pull a three car hauler over the road. They partnered with another delivery service and no longer needed it. I am not a dealer so it is licensed and titled in missouri but it has not been used in missouri.
This truck was very well serviced by the local dodge dealer there and from front to rear it is tight, strong, and clean! They kept it ready for long hauls at the turn of a key!
Some recent service that was done to it include:
The steering box was replaced with one directly from dodge.
The front brake rotors were replaced.
All four shocks.
Large air filter.
Nice tires- 70-80% tread, they hold the road very well and drive straight and smooth.
Dual fuel tanks with an upgraded lift pump supplying the injection pump.
Upgraded fifth gear nut.
Edge programmer.
The 3:55 gears make it excellent for a road tractor.
Tilt, cruise, power locks and windows, a/c, and heat. Four door quad cab.
The clutch is tight and smooth and holds perfectly. The transmission and transfer case are quiet and shift effortlessly.
With the exception of the heat cracks on top of the dash the interior is very impressive. No rips in the headliner or the cloth seats!
They told me it had no oil leaks and after driving it back to missouri I could not find anything significant. Very impressive.
I had my mechanic check it over again before listing it here and he replaced a front drive shaft u joint.
The paint is a mat black and gives the truck a mean stealth like appearance. There is a ding on the drivers front fender. (in the photo)
The interior lights look nice but for some reason they were disconnected from the switch and do not go on with the door opening. Its not a major point I know but honesty is very important to me.
I know how difficult it can be to purchase on line and my feedback shows that my customers see in person what they read on line.
The flat bed is very well built and measures 7.5 wide by 10ft long. This is a beautiful, low-mile, rust-free truck that is setup to be a very attractive combination of performance, convenience, durability, good looks, and economical transportation.
I changed the engine oil and filter and put in 15X40 rotella.
I checked all the drivetrain fluids and they are all up to par.
It starts easy and runs smoothly.
These trucks are amazing and are getting harder to find. You won't be disappointed. If you hit the buy it now and for some reason are dissatisfied with the truck when you see it in person it is on me and you are under no obligation and I will give your deposit back. I want you to be 100% satisfied with the transaction. The truck is for sale locally.
I would be happy to speak with if you have questions I haven't covered.

Chrysler Recalling Nearly 907,000 Cars, SUVs
Fri, Oct 17 2014Nearly 907,000 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep SUVs and cars are being recalled for alternators that can fail and heated power mirror wiring that can short and cause minor fires. The recalls, posted Thursday by U.S. safety regulators, push the total number of recalls so far this year 544, totaling a record of more than 52 million vehicles. The largest of Thursday's recalls covers nearly 470,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees, Chrysler 300s, and Dodge Chargers, Challengers and Durangos from the 2011 through 2014 model years. The alternators can fail, causing the 3.6-liter V6 engines to stall unexpectedly. The problem also can cause the electrical system to fail, as well as knock out power-assisted steering, antilock brakes and electronic stability control. It can even cause fire or smoke, according to documents Chrysler filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NHTSA opened an investigation into the problem in July, and Chrysler began its own probe in August. The company analyzed warranty complaints and alternators that had failed. The alternator generates electricity to recharge the battery and run other devices. Chrysler investigators traced the problem to heat fatigue in an alternator diode. Chrysler said it received 322 complaints about the problem, while 55 people complained to NHTSA. The company said it knows of one crash related to the problem, but no injuries or fires. The company will replace the alternators with upgraded versions for free. Owners will be notified in November. The company says customers who see warning lights or suspect a problem should contact their dealers. The recall affects cars and SUVs sold mainly in the U.S. and Canada, but some were sold in Mexico and overseas markets. The second recall covers almost 437,000 Jeep Wranglers from 2011 through 2013. Water can find its way into the heated power mirror wiring harness and cause corrosion. That can cause a short and could cause a minor fire and smoke, as well as cause loss of function of the mirror. The problem was discovered in February after three Wranglers in Canada were damaged. Chrysler says it has 26 complaints about the problem, but it knows of no fires, crashes or injuries. Dealers will move the wiring and install a protective shield to keep water out at no cost to owners, starting in December. Most of the Wranglers are in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, but more than 78,000 were sold overseas.
This or That: 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 vs. 2005 Subaru WRX STI [w/poll]
Thu, May 7 2015Some cars, due to ultimate desirability, particular rareness, or spectacular performance/prestige eventually become collectible. It's darn near impossible to know which ones will make it into the rarefied stratosphere of collectibility – why is a late 1960s AMC AMX so affordable these days, whereas prices for late '70s Pontiac Trans Ams are soaring? – but there are some useful indicators to keep tabs on. We're not exactly experts on investing, but we do know cars. As such, we've decided to take our non-expertise on one hand, combine it in the other with our knowledge of all things automotive, wad it up, throw it out and ask for your forgiveness. Or something like that. I've challenged Senior Editor Seyth Miersma to choose a car he thinks will become a future collector's item that's not more than 10 years old, and for no more than $25,000. I've done the same, and we vigorously argued for and against each other's picks. I feel good about my choice, but I don't have the best track record in these contests (I've lost three times, won twice, but they've all been pretty close), so, while I'm not going to beg (please vote for me!), I do hope you find my argument convincing. But first, let's hear from Seyth: Miersma: Ten-years old or newer makes this challenging. At that age most vehicles feel like a plain old used car to me, few hit the "classic" button. But the Subaru WRX STI has always been a special car, and the 2005 cutoff year proves to be very attractive for the parameters of our contest. It's rare; with fewer than 5,000 STI models sold that model year. It's probably the best looking WRX STI ever sold in America; narrowly avoiding the dreadful "horse collar" front fascia. And it's got one of the more die-hard car-geek followings out there. For $25,000, you can also still find examples that have reasonable miles, are in good condition, and haven't all been molested by grown-up Initial D wannabes. With the street racers hacking up collectable examples every day, I like my odds for steep appreciation by way of conservation. I couldn't agree more. It really is difficult to predict what cars will catch the eye of collectors, and the WRX STI seems like a pretty good choice. But I think mine is even better, and I can't let him know that I'd love to park just such an STI in my very own garage. And so goes my argument: Korzeniewski: I like your choice as a driver, Seyth. I'm less convinced of its status as a sure-fire collectible.
