Little Red Wagon tribute Dodge A100 pickup. Way too cool of a ride. The wife says either it goes or I go!!! This ride has a 416 Hemi (1958 392 bored) with a polished 671 Blower with 2 - 4bbl Holley carbs all sitting on a polished intake manifold. The transmission is a 727 Torqeflite 3 speed automatic and is shifted by a new Hurst Reverse Pattern shifter sporting a new cable. The narrowed 8 3/4 rearend has a posi with 488 gears. Fuel is supplied by a Holley Red pump. The Hemi has a new mini high torque starter. Ignition is supplied by a MSD billet distributor. New chrome oil pan. The front wheels are Weld Racing with 165/80R15 tires and the rear wheels are Center Lines with new massive Mickey Thompson Sportsmans with the very cool Flame Tread Pattern S/R 31x16 R15LT tires. It also has a new and hard to come by beautiful front chrome grill. The truck bed has an aluminum diamond plate floor. The exhaust is handled by a set of Zoomie style hand built headers. I am also including a set block hugger headers if you want to make it street legal.
I have had this truck for over 4 years and only driven it around the block. The guy I bought it from said it was supposed to be sold at the Russo and Steele Auction where they had that terrible storm kick up and knock down several of the auction tents. The truck suffered several small paint chips and a small 4" section by the front headlight that was damaged. Please view all pictures as I am trying to describe it as best as possible. The transmission has a high stall convertor which I don't know much about and I think the transmission is in need of adjusting. There is leak in the rear seal of the trans. I also found some antifreeze in the bottom of the oil pan when I was changing it out. I called Hot Heads Racing and Research and they said that there are a lot of the bolts that go into the water jackets and that one of them may be leaking into the motor. I have never had a 392 Hemi (392 bored to 416) or a supercharger and don't really know how to work on them. I will pass along all the info I got with the truck when I bought it. I encourage you to come and check it out. Please email me for any info or a time to view it. I will add more info as I think of it. More pictures will also be added. 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon features one of the coolest auctions we've seen
Thu, Jan 3 2019In just over a week, the Tokyo Auto Salon will host one of the coolest auctions we've seen in years. Jalopnik spotted BH Auction's listings, and it's a cornucopia of hot machinery you won't typically find at American auctions like Gooding & Company or Barrett Jackson. While Japanese cars make up most of the listings, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and even Dodge all have at least one car going up for auction. We won't include everything here, but you can check out the full list on BH Auction's website. There are 50 lots at the auction, including nine Nissan Skylines, nine Ferraris and two Porsche Carrera GTs. Some of our other favorites include a Honda S800 coupe, a Toyota Miniace truck, a Mitsubishi Willys Jeep and a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL gullwing with the V8 from a W124 Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG that's estimated to sell for between $1.25 million and $1.5 million. 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker, Mopar '14 Challenger bring back iconic hood
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Enamored of the Dodge Challenger but wish you could get one with a shaker hood? We've got good news, because Dodge and Mopar have teamed up to bring it back.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker packs the same 5.7-liter Hemi V8 as the standard Challenger R/T, but upgrades the business end with a through-the-hood exposed cold-air intake system. The retro hood scoop protrudes from the center of the hood in satin black (matching the decklid spoiler) to feed the Hemi and shakes with the engine just like the original from 1970. The Shaker model also comes with a Super Track Pak that adds a new steering rack, brake linings, shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car rubber. You can also shut off the stability management system completely in this car. A series of interior and exterior trim enhancements round out the look. The whole package adds $2,500 to the price of a Challenger R/T Classic for an all-in MSRP of $36,995.
In case that's not enough, Dodge is also offering a limited-edition Mopar Challenger that follows the 2010 Mopar Challenger, 2011 Mopar Charger, 2012 Mopar 300 and 2013 Mopar Dart. Limited to just 100 examples, the 2014 Mopar Challenger gets the same Shaker hood intake, unique graphics and wheels, an enhanced interior and a long list of optional extras from the Mopar parts catalog. Dodge isn't saying just yet how much the Mopar Challenger will cost, but you can bet it will command a considerable premium for the exclusivity alone.
2020 Dodge Challenger Review & Buying Guide | The most muscular muscle car
Sun, Sep 1 2019Despite going more than a decade without a complete redesign, the Dodge Challenger is alive and well, and still worth your consideration. Primarily, it offers more of a classic muscle car experience focused on straight-line performance and comfort that its rivals from Ford and Chevy that skew closer to sports car dynamics. The Challenger has the brash, broad-shouldered design to match that muscle car feel, too. And its big body brings more space and practicality than the competition. The 2020 Dodge Challenger also has a few unique bragging points. It's the only one of the modern pony cars to offer all-wheel-drive, which is a boon to people living in snowy parts of the country. And the Hellcat Redeye is still the most powerful pony car on the market with a whopping 797 horsepower from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8. Of course, there is a multitude of other Challenger models beyond those two examples, though, with many customization options from colors to wheels and trim. We think pretty highly of them all, proving that just because something is getting on in years doesn't mean it's any less relevant. What's new for 2020? The 2020 Dodge Challenger brings a small number of updates. There are new wheel designs for every trim except the base rear-drive SXT. Three new colors are available with typically excellent Mopar names: Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick and Frostbite. Dodge has also made some welcome efforts to spruce up the interior with stitched dash and door panels on leather-equipped Challengers, carbon fiber trim and faux suede options for V8-powered cars and caramel-colored Alcantara for the GT, R/T and R/T Scat Pack trims. What's the interior and in-car technology like? The Challenger's interior certainly isn't as characterful and flamboyant as its exterior would suggest. The Mustang and Camaro are more interesting and distinctive inside. Still, there are some interesting design flourishes that spruce things up, from the base trim's standard houndstooth cloth to the two-tone leather choices available as options. Besides, we're not sure how flamboyant you need the interior to be in a car available in electric orange, blue, green and purple paint colors. Furthermore, what the Challenger interior may lack in visual pizzazz, it makes up for with space (see below) and technology. A 7-inch touchscreen is standard, but all trim levels have an 8.4-inch version available as an option or standard.
