1985 Dodge D150 Short Wheel Base P/u on 2040-cars
Albion, Illinois, United States
318 2bbl., AT, PS, PB PW, Power door locks, and Tilt wheel. Drivable but needs work.
I haven’t
driven it in at least 6 months. The only things I’ve done to it since I’ve had
it is: 1. Replaced tires & wheels (used).2. Replaced ignition module (new). 3. Replaced alternator (used). 4. Replaced right front caliper (new). I only used
the truck to haul stuff off for my business. I probably only drove it 25 miles
a week.
This
truck is being sold AS IS. I WILL NOT promise how far it can be
driven.
It does need some work as follows: 2. Muffler. 3. Tune-up. 4. Steering column (something inside it won’t engage the starter but it will turn on the ignition). 5. Interior work. 6. It smokes a little. Since this
truck has been sitting for a while it may need other things as well.
I haven’t started it since I parked it back in December of 2013. I will take
less without the aluminum slot wheels since they don’t really belong on the
truck. |

How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer
Sun, 16 Nov 2014Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.

SRT back to Dodge, Dart SRT, new Challenger, Charger and Caravan's death outlined in 5-yr plan
Tue, 06 May 2014The onslaught of news from Fiat Chrysler's layout of five-year plans continued with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis this morning, including the unexpected announcement that SRT was coming back into the fold.
After just a few years existing as an independent entity within the Fiat Chrysler universe, an unceremonious press release hit in conjunction with today's lineup of announcements, saying "the SRT family of vehicles will be consolidated under the Dodge brand." Group CEO Sergio Marchionne thanked SRT headman Ralph Gilles for his dedication to the high-performance wing, calling out is efforts in expanding the vehicle lineup and including more customized models. He did not reference disappointing SRT Viper sales today, but we sense there's a bit of subtext.
With the SRT reunion at Dodge, it's appropriate that some of the most exciting product announcements for the next five years have to do with upcoming performance products. First out of the gate will be a refresh for that flagging Viper in 2015, which comes as little surprise.
