McMullen 1970 Dodge A100 History Show Truck!!

Tom McMullen’s personal Street Rodder Buildup Truck, Here is your chance to own a piece of Street Rodding History, this truck was featured in several issues of Street Rodder Magazine back in the 1970’s as a how to project, the truck started out as Tom’s shop truck and turned in to this radical 70’s Street Machine very high tech for it’s time, featuring Tom’s own designed 4 link style air ride suspension attempt.

The Dodge had undergone a meticulous 3 years restoration by Street Toys & Hot Rods(restoration can be seen at streettoysmx.com) utilizing all the reusable parts and replicating Tom’s paint job to the tee, all components were rebuilt, rechromed and repainted that were reuseable(that was 90% of all parts like suspension, wheels, roll bar, seats, radiator, moon tank etc) All original to the build this is NOT a recration or a tribute, but is the original truck with 80% of the original fab work, interior as well was redone in the original type materials Gold/Red Crush Velvet and California Shag Carpet.

The Motor is a 427 Big Block Chevy with a 671 Blower along with a Turbo 400 Transmission and has the original custom made headers and Moon gas tanks made exclusively for Tom’s truck.

The only up dates made to the truck were the wiring harness and modern fuel system for better reliability, all the rest was replicated as close as possible, the paint is Dupont Base Coat Clear Coat as well as the fades and the flames(the original was enamel), super straight body work really stand out in a crowd, the truck runs and drives great.

Please look all the pictures and email with question, you are welcome to inspect the car or have it inspect, if you are from outside the US or have less then 10 feedback please contact me before buying or making offer. Most of this truck was hand built by Tom Mcmullen and Streetrodder magazine using only the original body shell of the Dodge and there were no more vin numbers on it so the state of New Mexico issued a new vin number and titled it as a 2013 home built. This truck is sold as is where is, buyer is to make a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of sale and the balance is due in full within 7 days of sale.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

Dodge shows can-do attitude with grand Can'avan sculpture

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

There are lots of ways to celebrate an important birthday, and all of them are well deserved. You can throw a big party, buy yourself something nice, or - if you're the altruistic type - do something for others in need. The latter is how Chrysler has opted to mark the 30th anniversary of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
Together with hunger-advocacy organization Canstruction, the Chrysler Foundation has built a full-scale replica of the Grand Caravan out of 30,000 food cans in the square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, a ways down the highway from where the real vans are built in Windsor. The sculpture was built over the course of 10 hours by 30 volunteers and was displayed earlier this week.
Now the installation is being taken down, and the cans of food are being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which will assemble them into 2,000 food baskets to be distributed to those in need through its network of 200 food banks across the Canadian metropolis. Check out a neat time-lapse video of the build and the press release below.

2015 Dodge Challenger gets 6.4L 485-HP V8 Scat Pack

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

While it's not seeing the drastic facelift of its brother, the Charger, at the 2014 New York Auto Show, the 2015 Challenger is packing some upgrades of its own. It wears even more retro-inspired styling cues, and there are new 6.4-liter Scat Pack and Shaker trims.
If you thought the Challenger looked retro before, Dodge is taking things even farther with inspiration for the refresh coming from the iconic 1971 model. Up front, it has a new split grille, a larger power bulge in the hood and projector fog lights. At the rear, the classic inspiration continues with split LED taillights with Gloss Black trim, and a rear valance panel redesigned to make the 2015 model look wider and lower.
The '71 motif is carried inside as well with a high-sill center console and aluminum gauge bezels. There's still more than a touch of modernity, with an available 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system and 7-inch customizable display between the retro-inspired speedometer and tachometer. For better safety, the Challenger is also now available with forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection. Stability control and electric power steering are standard across all models too.
