for sale is a 69 dodge coronet 440 sedan (440 is the model, not the engine size)

i bought it a few months ago to use as a donor for my dodge charger. but after thinking about it, i couldnt bring myself to cut it up. (maybe you can)
the car runs & drives great. its got quiet exhaust, shifts great has excellent working heat too. the dash pad is mint (still soft & not brittle)
all the lights, directionals, wipers, horn & even reverse lights work. the car was repainted the original color many years ago & now the clearcoat is peeling.
it has a 318 motor with stock 2 barrel carb, aircleaner, & exhaust. 904 trans, 8-3/4 open rear (unknown gear ratio) the car has minimal rust. the front is very clean. drivers front fender has small dent near grill (with body filler) as seen in the pics.  (engine compartment, shocktowers, frame rails, all mint with zero rust (even under the battery is good) the worst is in trunk & it will need repair for the trunk floor. has some rust through high on drivers' 1/4 panel, but inner & outter wheelwells are still very nice.the frame rails are good, the floors are good. the brakes were recently replaced (maybe 6 months ago) 4 wheel drum brakes. the car was a daily driver up until a few months ago. a couple door handles wont work from the outside (buttons stuck & one button is missing) & the fuel gauge doesnt work. (unsure if sender or gauge) the interior is original & complete, but seat fabric is torn as seen in the pics. im offering it at no reserve. high bidder gets it. i have the clean title in my possesion ready for the new owner. ***PLEASE NOTE ***, you can drive this car right now. register, insure, & drive.*******it has NOT sat for 10 years in the dirt & need everything****** it will start right up & cruise right now as it is. its a cool classic mopar that needs a new home.
i hate to see it sit & do nothing & would rather it go to the next guy to have fun with. i can also provide delivery with a flatbed tow truck for an additional fee of $2 per pile one way plus any tolls from my zipcode of 08205 (vehicle must be paid for before delivery) please just use mapquest for distance to calculate mileage. i do not have a buy it now. if any further pics are needed, please email & give me your email address so i can send them to you or a phone number that i can text them to. please only bidders with good feedback that will follow through with the sale bid. if you are new to ebay or have bad feedback, contact me first or i may cancel your bid. thanks for looking & good luck bidding.

Dodge brings Charger Widebody 'concept' to Spring Fest

Sun, Mar 24 2019

Last week we asked if an Instagram user had really seen a Dodge Charger Widebody cruising suburban Detroit. The answer is yes, he had. Dodge brought its Charger Widebody concept to Spring Fest 14, a celebration of everything built on Chrysler's LX platform. Note the use of the word "concept," and a Fiat Chrysler spokesperson telling journos, "We are taking a Charger design concept to Spring Fest to gauge feedback from the huge Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Chrysler 300 enthusiast base that attends the California event each year." Mark Trostle, head of design for Dodge and SRT, shared a few snaps of the Charger Widebody to Instagram. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Now ignore the word "concept." Of course a thing isn't done until it's done, but two years ago a thread on Charger Forums mused on a Photoshop of the sedan as a widebody. User ResumeSpeed chimed in to say, "Rear is not accurate as it's being revised. 2020 model year. Two Charger WB models: Hellcat and 392 Scat Pack." Fast forward to February of this year when Mopar Insider said its sources confirmed a thick-hipped Charger R/T Scat Pack and Hellcat with "drastically different looking front and rear fascias." Then, earlier this month, Allpar received a slide from what looks like an internal Dodge presentation explaining the "2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Wide Body." The sedan in the slide looks almost exactly like the "concept." And now this. They even designed it with the Dodge Durango SRT grille treatment, which seems like a logical part of that 2020 revision. Giving the Charger a nip and tuck, a little more tire, and a $6,000 surcharge similar to the Challenger Widebody makes too much sense to merely toy with and then file away. Check out this video for a complete walkaround, and stay tuned.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

Stellantis mega-merger gets approval from FCA, PSA shareholders

Mon, Jan 4 2021

MILAN — Shareholders of Fiat Chrysler and PSA Peugeot decisively voted Monday to merge the U.S.-Italian and French carmakers to create worldÂ’s 4th-largest auto company. Addressing separate meetings, both PSA Peugeot CEO Carlos Tavares and Fiat Chrysler Chairman John Elkann spoke of the “historic” importance of the vote, which combines legacy car companies that helped write the industrial histories of the United States, France and Italy. Before the merger is finalized, shares in the new company, to be called Stellantis, must the launched. It will be traded in Milan, New York and Paris. The marriage of PSA Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is built on the promise of cost-savings in the capital-hungry industry, but what remains to be seen is if it will be able to preserve jobs and heritage brands in a global market still suffering from the pandemic. The deal will create the worldÂ’s fourth-largest carmaker, with the capacity to produce 8.7 million cars a year, behind Volkswagen, Toyota and Renault-Nissan, and create 5 billion euros in annual synergies.  “We are fully aware of the fact that together we will be stronger than individually,'' PSA CEO Carlos Tavares told a virtual gathering of eligible shareholders. “The two companies are in good health. These two companies have strong positions in their markets.” The new company will put together under one roof French mass-market carmakers Peugeot and Citroen, top-selling Jeep and Italian luxury and sports brands Maserati and Alfa Romeo - pooling companies that have helped define the industry in the United States, France and Italy. While the tie-up is billed as a merger of equals, the power advantage goes to PSA, with Tavares running Stellantis and holding the tie-breaking vote on the 11-seat board. Tavares is set to take full control of the company early this year, possibly by the end of January. Fiat Chrysler chairman John Elkann, heir to the Fiat-founding Agnelli family and Fiat ChryslerÂ’s biggest shareholder, will be the Stellantis chairman. Fiat Chrysler CEO Mike Manley will head North American operations, which is key to Tavares' long-time goal of getting a U.S. foothold for the French carmaker he has run since 2014, and the clear money-maker for Fiat Chrysler. Such a deal was long wanted by Fiat ChryslerÂ’s long-time CEO Sergio Marchionne, who had predicted the necessity of consolidation in the industry. He was unable to find a deal before his sudden death in July 2018.
