1969 Dodge Super Bee Hardtop 2-door 7.2l on 2040-cars
Springville, Indiana, United States
|
A true WM23 code Super Bee, not a fake! One of 9346 hardtop auto Super Bees originally created, many of which were totaled within a few weeks as the car was a no-frill street race car made to appeal to younger public. This Super Bee has been fully restored 8 years ago, still looks absolutely beautiful and I have not had one stop at a gas station yet without an adoration of the car. The car is very straight and has absolutely no bondo with original body color, refurbished interior.
-It has a strong running 440, perfectly tuned. Running so perfect, I used the car as a daily driver when my main car broke down -3.23 Gear Ratio and 8.75 rear end. It is perfect for highway driving and still great for liftoffs. Will put a 4.10 gear ratio for extra -Cragar rims (this car wore it first a month ago, less than 500 miles on them - they laid in the new box for 27 years) -Dual snorkel air cleaner -Air shocks for when you want to show off, hood pins to add to the muscle car look -Stall converter -Shift kit -New spark plugs, wires, gas cleaner, electronic ignition, etc Would be interested in a 2nd gen charger as a partial trade, but rather sell because I am becoming an officer in the military Questions: Call 260-350-7581 Caution: If you don't have the money, please do not waste our time. I am getting a little frustrated will all the people who are "coming to get it" or "will buy the car once mine will sell", etc. Buyer to pay non refundable deposit of $1000 within 48 hours of auctions end. Paypal ok for deposit. This is non negotiable unless agreed to prior or paying balance in its entirety within 48 hours. Balance of payment is due with 7 business days of end of auction. Balance of payment to be in the form of cash, bank wire transfer or bank cashiers check. Car will be released as soon as funds are clear. Buyer to pay all shipping charges. I will help with obtaining quotes and loading of the vehicle. Ultimately it is your responsibility to get the car to your residence or business. The car is sold as is, where is. No exceptions! The car is sold with no warranties expressed or written as this is a 45 year old vehicle. Clear Indiana title. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason. The car could sell at any time as I am an active seller. All inspections are welcome including 3rd party inspections. The only requirement is this MUST be done PRIOR to auctions end. This is a real auction. This means you have the duration of the auction to inspect and satisfy your expectations of the car. The car has been described as accurately as possible, as a private seller. 1942 Dodge Carryall from WWII featured on 'Jay Leno's Garage'
Thu, Dec 28 2017On this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, Leno takes a look at a unique Dodge Carryall, both in its past and present states. The Carryall is a 1942 model restored and modified by Winslow Bent at Legacy Classic Trucks in Wyoming. According to Bent, the truck spent time in Tunisia during World War II. Obviously it's no longer a military vehicle, but Bent explains that he and his crew built the truck to still be extremely durable, since its new owner wanted a support vehicle for classic car rallies around the world and in remote locations. To reach this end, the Carryall's original inline-six has been replaced with an intercooled Cummins 4BT turbocharged diesel four-cylinder. Bent modified the engine to make less power than it could in order to make the engine understressed and longer lasting. In total, it makes only 130 horsepower, but 380 pound-feet of torque. It also features a boxed frame and heavy duty axles. It's plenty practical, too, with a large roof rack, winch, and even an on-board welding setup. But it's not all hardcore upgrades, since it also has air conditioning. Check out all the other cool details and listen to Leno and Bent geek out over leaf springs and intakes in the video above. Fiat Chrysler recalls 650,000 Dodge, Jeep SUVs for brake issue
Tue, Oct 3 2017Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said Tuesday it's voluntarily recalling nearly 650,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs to ensure that brake-booster shields were properly installed. The recall affects mostly vehicles sold in the U.S. but also roughly 60,000 combined in Canada and Mexico. The shields were installed in 2014 in conjunction with a recall involving the same set of vehicles, which cover the model years 2011 through 2014. A review of warranty data led to an FCA U.S. investigation that discovered the problem. FCA says it is aware of one potentially related accident, but no injuries. The shields are designed to keep water away from the boosters, lest it cause corrosion or freeze in cold temperatures and negatively affect brake performance. Brakes will still function even if boosters are compromised by water, FCA says, but drivers may experience brake-pedal firmness. In some cases, a potential booster issue may trigger a warning light or activation of the anti-lock brakes. Customers who've observed any of those conditions are urged to contact their dealers. The automaker says it plans to notify affected owners that free service to check and repair the issue if necessary will be available in early November. Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.
