I am placing my 1999 Viper GTS ACR for sale. I purchased the car with 805 miles on it in 2011 and it currently has only 1,090 miles. Mileage is true and accurate. It is in pristine condition with no damage or scratches. Never has seen rain or inclement weather. No accidents, no paint work. Better than the day it rolled of the assembly line, due to the fact I spent over $2,000 in paint detailing. Over 16 hours in the detail job. The car belonged to a collector, when he passed away, his collection and estate was auctioned off. Most of the Ferraris, Lambo’s and other cars in the collection including this Viper were purchased by dealerships. I purchased the car from a high-end dealership in Maryland.

The vehicle was serviced with a full fluid flush. I drove it on two occasions. Bringing it home from the dealership, then once after on a nice weekend drive. It has always been started and taken around the block for a short drive periodically. It has never sat without being started or driven for more than a month. I purchased the car with tan seats. I sent them to Venzano Automotive and had them redone in black with genuine leather centers. Other than that, the car is completely stock. Zero modifications ever done. Brand new battery with tender hooked to it.

Never raced or abused. I have yet to take the car near red line. I’ve owned two 1,000+whp Supra’s, I never had a need to abuse this Viper or race it. My intentions were to one day twin turbo it. Unfortunately I have come to terms with reality and accepted that will never happen due to life’s other priorities. In all honesty, I am not sure I could modify it with such low miles and pristine condition.

There is no need for any maintenance work for this car, it is ready to go, needs someone who can enjoy it in good health.

This is a true factory built ACR. The vehicle did at one point have the ACR wheels on. They have been replaced with GTS wheels by most likely the previous owner.

Selling at fair blue book market value and for what I paid for it. Even at the starting bid price, I will be losing money. The seats costs over $2,000 to have redone in genuine leather and the professional detail job was also over $2,000. If the car doesn’t sell for my starting bid, I will keep the car as a collector and add the ACR wheels back to the car.

Please feel free to pm me any questions. Thank you.

**The car is for sale local as well as on forums. For these reasons, I reserve the right to terminate the auction at anytime.**

Experience the Woodward Dream Cruise in a Dodge Challenger Hellcat

Thu, Aug 20 2015

While Autoblog was consumed by coverage of the increasingly important Monterey Car Week last weekend, there was another big even going on. The Woodward Dream Cruise is significantly lighter in terms of news, but there's no denying that it's a far bigger, and far more egalitarian than what the wine-and-cheese crowd experience on the links at Pebble Beach. The Dream Cruise crams tens of thousands of cars and over a million spectators along a four-lane ribbon of asphalt between Ferndale and Pontiac, MI. What's remarkable aren't these numbers, though, so much as the distances they travel. Owners and admirers come from far and wide, across the United States and in some cases across the globe, to take in the spectacle. This year, local radio and television coverage featured fans that traveled from Japan, Australia, and Europe, just to take in the cruise. Of course, we realize that not everyone can make the pilgrimage to Woodward Avenue. With that fact in mind, we decided to bring a bit of the Dream Cruise to Autoblog with a time-lapse video of the cruise route. You can experience the good (a Lamborghini Gallardo, Chevrolet Chevelle, and Oldsmobile Cutlass 442), the bad (the traffic jams), and the ugly (no, your 2003 Ford Focus does not qualify as a classic, get the hell out of the cruiser lanes). So join us, as we turn off 8 Mile Road behind the wheel of our 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and run north, through Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Bloomfield Township, and Bloomfield Hills, before ending up on Wide Track Drive in Pontiac.

Dodge to resurrect Scat Pack?

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Before social media ever existed, if automotive enthusiasts wanted to be noticed or recognize other fans, they joined a car club. For Dodge muscle car lovers from 1968 through 1971, that group was known as the Scat Pack. Just like the Charger, Challenger and Dart nameplates, it looks like the Scat Pack could be getting a resurrection by Chrysler.
Automotive News is reporting that Chrysler recently renewed its trademark on the Scat Pack name, and while this is in no way a guarantee that the name will return, AN talked to Tim Kuniskis, Dodge President and CEO, who stoked the fire a little more. In the article, Kuniskis said that the name is "a very important part of our history" and added that "we like the whole idea of having a Scat Pack of cars." Scat Pack models were identified by their bumblebee stripes and helmet-wearing bumblebee logo, and the idea of a modern Scat Pack doesn't seem all that outlandish in light of recent vehicles like the Charger SRT Super Bee and the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept.
What do you think, is this a cool idea, or is it just an unwelcome bit of nostalgia? Have you say in Comments.

Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.
Take a look through the gallery to see what you think of the sketches for these concepts, and scroll down for the full announcement from FCA.
