Pristine truck with all the right features.  I looked far and wide for this exact truck.  For me it has the right stance, colors, options, mileage, condition and history to be near perfect.  In fact it turned out to be too nice for simply maintaining my properties.  I was going to put a plow on it but decided to buy something less nice and already set up.

So here we have it up for your consideration starting at $100 and with no reserve.  For the year I would say the truck has an excellent exterior with no rust or scratches.  Behind the rear wheels is minor stone rash and there is a tiny dimple in tailgate as seen in pic.  Previous owner was a fanatic about keeping this truck fluid filmed underneath every year and never pulled anything with it.  The interior is mint.  Glass is mint.  Underside is as nice as the top side.  Loaded with power options and everything works.

I put it through the shop in May and had it State Inspected to the tune of $1,200.  All four ball joints replaced, left axle joint, sway bar bushings, end links and alignment.  I also had a new wide screen Garmin hard wired in and a trailer brake controller. 33" all season tires, brakes and oil service are all recent.

Previous owner had Larmie interior installed with heated leather seats with power driver and passenger seats along with brushed aluminum dash.  Has extra gauges for monitoring turbo boost and pyro temps.  Exhaust is 4" turbo back through a dummy muffler to a 5" tip.  Sounds awesome.  Not overbearing and does not drone.  I have the cat converter which will be included in the sale.  This truck has never been chipped or modified beyond the exhaust.  Of course these Cummins come from the factory with inter cooling so they run cool and are prime candidates for tuning if you like that sort of thing.  With the stock High Output 325 horse engine I find there is more than adequate power and the torque feels endless.

I also have the color matching like new topper cap that the winning bidder can have if you want it.  I did not care the for the look and put it on my slightly different color grey Ram work truck since it is sometimes handy.  Just ask and I will have it reinstalled for you.  It matches perfectly and came with the truck.

At 92,000 miles the transmission was completely overhauled and beefed up with receipt in hand.  Shifts like new.

Absolutely no bad habits: No smells, stains, leaks, smoke, rust, vibrations, sticky windows, nothing.  This truck was never worked and doesn't look like it has seen bad weather.  You will be proud to pull up to any job site or fancy restaurant in this beauty.

Auto check score on this truck is an incredibly high 96.  Title is clean and in hand.  Fly in and drive home.  NH issues temp tags for $15.00.  Since this is a true no reserve auction I ask that bidders with less than 5 positive feedbacks refrain from bidding.  Please have your finances in order prior to bidding.  If you decide you don't want to wait and risk losing out the buy it now is $25k or near that.  And as always, no deal is final till you see it and love it.  Otherwise deposit is refunded and you look for something you like better.

Happy bidding.  Somebody is going to be very pleased with this one.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

Australian consumer activists destroy a Dodge Journey with a tank

Thu, Jun 30 2016

An Australian couple held an event where they crushed their unreliable and frustrating Dodge Journey with a retired army tank. According to Drive, Kate and Joe Masters owned an infuriating 2010 Dodge Journey that they claim was plagued by mechanical and electrical issues. After numerous failed attempts on their part to get the issues fixed by Fiat Chrysler and Dodge Australia, the couple decided that they'd had enough. Working with Queensland consumer advocate Ashton Wood, the Masters held an event where they smashed the Dodge with a sledgehammer and fired arrows at it. Finally, they rolled out a retired Centurion Mk.V tank and proceeded to crush the doomed Dodge monster truck-style. Fiat Chrysler issued a statement refuting many of the Masters' claims about both its vehicle and the steps taken to remedy the situation. The company claims that the vehicle was serviced outside of its dealer network and that the Masters did not work through established consumer complaint channels established by the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. "We had attempted to work proactively with this customer, offering free service work and free genuine parts after their warranty had expired," FCA said in a statement. "While Dodge Australia was keen to resolve this issue, we weren't in the position to issue the demanded refund of $43,000 for a vehicle purchased in 2011, that was driven for more than 100,000 kilometers (62,137 miles) and that has no known manufacturing defects, nor had any evidence provided by the owners to substantiate these claims. Queensland senator Glenn Lazarus, who was involved with the tank event, stated that Australian motorists need better consumer protections against automotive dealerships and manufacturers. "Countries around the world have successfully implemented lemon laws to provide consumers with protection and I believe it's about time we did the same in Australia," he said. Destroying cars in a public act of frustration is nothing new. In China, a Lamborghini Gallardo owner smashed his luxury ride with a sledgehammer after he felt he wasn't given a premium experience at the dealership.
