Here it is, one of the rarest Dodge Diesels ever produced.
It is the 1998 12 Valve Cummins with a 5 speed transmission, 4 wheel drive and
it is a short bed! There was only around 400 of them ever made! I am the second owner of this truck. The original owner is an older gentleman that I work with. The reason this truck has so many miles is that he lives 80 miles away from work and he mostly drove this pickup. I was really excited when he sold it to me earlier this year. I thought I would never sell it, but we are expecting another baby and these quad cabs are not designed for reverse car seats. When I bought it, the truck had a service bed on it. I took it off and tried to find a regular bed for it but could not find one close by. I have a brother in law that is a talented Black Smith and he designed and built the flat bed for this truck. As you can see from the pictures the truck is not brand new,
so if you bid on it keep that in mind. It runs great. It shifts perfect. The transmission
has been replaced by the original owner. He also had the injection pump rebuilt
and the turbo. It has also had the front end worked on and other minor repairs.
It has a Banks monster exhaust muffler. Besides that it is completely stock. Everything works in the truck. This includes
the 4x4. I put tires on it a few months ago and they only have a few thousand
miles on them. There is a toggle switch on the dash that is for the flood light
on the bed. In the picture of the flat bed, I put a board to cover my license plate. When the service bed was on the truck it had an auxiliary tank and
that was the switch for the pump. Please bid knowing that the truck is 16 years
old. Bidders that do not have any bidding history please email me first. Ask me
any questions. If I can’t answer I still work with the original owner, so I can
ask him. Local pick up only. I don’t really know what a truck like this is worth, so I put the reserve around what I bought it for. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank you! On Sep-23-14 at 05:05:00 PDT, seller added the following information: This truck has been very well care for. The original owner had all the maintenance performed by the local Dodge dealer. This is the same dealer that he bought the truck. I am located about 3 hours from Phoenix or Albuquerque. If you fly into one of those cities I can pick you up in the Dodge. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you |

Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger
Sun, 23 Feb 2014When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.
Ron Burgundy calls Durango a 'terrible car,' yet his ads help sales climb by 59% [w/videos]
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Ron Burgundy was put on this planet to do one thing: to read the news. If that ever falls through, though, the womanizing, scotch-drinking anchorman could have a great career just as a Dodge salesman. Bloomberg points out that sales of the 2014 Dodge Durango have rocketed up 59 percent in the first month of Chrysler's funny new ad campaign (which began in early October). But then again, the entire year has been strong for the big SUV, with year-over-year sales increases in the double and even triple digit percentages - including an increase of 117 percent in August.
Of course, the Durango has also received a wealth of new content and a freshened look for 2014 in addition to the Burgundy campaign, and that has to be helping close sales, too. Whether or not the spots themselves are leading to more sales may be a moot point, since they are definitely getting plenty of attention. Almost two months into the marketing tie-up between Dodge and the movie Anchorman 2, Dodge's YouTube videos have received well over seven million views. More than just YouTube shorts and television commercials, the Durango has even received late-night attention, including when Will Ferrell showed up in character as Ron Burgundy on Conan earlier this week.
In the interview, he calls the Durango a "terrible car" that "cracked in half," a joke that probably had Dodge ad execs squirming uncomfortably in their Barcaloungers. Scroll down to watch the Conan interview as well as some of our favorite Burgundy-pitched Durango ads. And there's still plenty of time to "touch" Ron to win a new Durango.
Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat
Fri, 11 Jul 2014So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.
