Thanks for checking out our listing on this Bad Ass Bagged Dodge D150 Custom pickup. You see lots of Chevy"s,and Fords Bagged but this Dodge looks insane and everyone loves it.This is a running driving project truck with most of the hard work already done. The truck itself is in excellent condition and shows amazing it commands attention everywhere it goes. The exterior and paint are in excellent shape with a few blemishes please look at the last two pics for the noticeable blemishes. The interior is in excellent shape nice seat seat and door panels with the roof and door inserts color coded to match the truck. The truck itself is basically stock and runs and drives well it has a 318 Engine all stock with a Holley 2 bbl carb that runs great and quiet with no leaks matched to a 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts fine. The truck is in great shape and mostly everything mechanical works besides the windshield wipers, hazzords and dome light. The factory gauges all work, the headlights, tail lights, brake lights, horn and radio all work. The glass is all in excellent shape and the keys lock and unlock the doors and it uses the factory ignition switch. The truck has a new alternator, starter relay, front air bags and voltage regulator. The truck has 22" Lorenzo rims with Falken tires with excellent tread. As far as the air ride the Rear is C Notched and boxed with 1/2 inch steel plates and gusseted with a custom 3 link with the air bags mounted behind the axle and shocks for a smoother ride. The truck has Firestone bags on all four corners with 4 valves an Air Zenith compressor and a polished 5 gallon tank. The bag system is real simple with one switch for the front and one for the rear with a gauge to show the air pressure.Like i said this is an amazing running driving project with most of the hard work done what it needs is some attention to mounting some of the hardware in the rear and just some finishing touches on the bed and tubs but it runs and drives the way it is and is driven on a regular basis and very reliable. We do have the original inner fender wells and tubs for the rear that we will include with the truck. The truck had dual gas tanks but one of the stock plastic tanks was cracked so we removed it and drive drive the truck off the primary tank only .The truck is sold as is but please take time to read our feedback and bid with confidence, these pictures where all just taken and we have driven the truck on a regular basis to be able describe it accurately.Florida residents must pay 6% sales tax and tag or transfer,no dealer fees.Transportation is the responsibility of the fortunate new owner we will assist any way we can with storing and loading. Please feel free to email me with any questions or offers, thanks for looking and Good Luck!!

Consumer Reports says Ram 1500 tops fuel economy fight [w/video]
Wed, Aug 27 2014Consumer Reports takes its independent vehicle testing procedures seriously. In an era when we have to question the EPA's official ratings thanks to recent re-evaluations from Ford and Hyundai, an independent voice is important. So, when CR says something is the best, it's worth paying attention to. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel has "about the same fuel-economy numbers that we typically see in a midsized SUV." – Jake Fisher In this case, CR took a look at the fuel economy of the 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and found that it came out on top of the fullsize pickup truck pack. The Ram did so with 20 miles per gallon overall and 27 mpg on the highway. CR gave the truck a total road test score of 82. The EPA says that the EcoDiesel 1500 gets 28 mpg on the highway, 20 mpg city and 23 mpg combined. Comparing official EPA numbers, the Ram is also the best among trucks in its class. It's nice when people agree on something. As we know from first-hand, long-distance experience, you can push the 1500 EcoDiesel to 38 mpg. CR found in its own testing that the truck had, "about the same fuel-economy numbers that we typically see in a midsized SUV," said Jake Fisher, CR's director of automotive testing, in a statement. Speaking of midsized SUVs, CR also announced this week that the new Toyota Highlander Hybrid got the top spot in CR's ratings in that category. CR liked pretty much everything about the SUV, saying that the "transitions between electric power and the gas engine are seamless" and that, "the new Highlander also handles better, with a steadier ride and reduced body lean in corners." You can find more at the CR website, in the October print issue of Consumer Reports or in the video and press release below. This content is hosted by a third party. RAM ECODIESEL 1500 TOPS CONSUMER REPORTS FULL-SIZE PICKUP TRUCK RATINGS Redesigned Toyota Highlander Hybrid Climbs to Top of Midsized SUV List Yonkers, N.Y.- The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel climbed to the top of Consumer Reports' full-size pickup truck ratings with an impressive performance in the organization's fuel economy tests. The EcoDiesel (82 point overall road test score) turned in a best-in-class fuel economy of 20 mpg overall and 27 mpg on the highway, to help it score better than the previously tested Ram 1500 V8 (81) regular gas version and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT (80).
Dodge performance could be electrified, new hybrid transmissions coming
Mon, Jul 8 2019Dodge is arguably the last company around specializing in old-school muscle cars. Outside of a few models like the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and the new e-Torque offerings in the Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler, FCA as a whole seems behind the ball when it comes to green or electrified powertrains. That might change over the next few years, as Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger cars at FCA, told Automotive News that he sees the future of performance to be electrified. At the reveal of the Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody a few weeks back, Kuniskis said "the absolute future is electrification of these cars." What form this takes or how soon this all might happen is unclear, but changes are likely coming. Kuniskis said the electrified models could be anything from pure battery-electric vehicles to plug-in hybrids to e-axles. FCA’s e-torque system already works with the companyÂ’s Hemi V8 in the Ram 1500, so, if thereÂ’s room in the engine bay, we imagine it would be pretty easy to adapt the mild-hybrid system for other V8-powered vehicles. One thing to note is that FCA just inked a new deal with ZF. The latter will supply a new 8-speed automatic transmission for longitudinal front-engine cars that will work with both rear and all-wheel drive vehicles. FCA already uses a version of the ZF 8HP automatic, but the big thing to note is that the new transmission has a small electric drive unit built in. If this new transmission is as ubiquitous as the current one, you might find electrified versions of Alfa Romeo and Maserati products as well as those from Dodge, Jeep and Ram. This seems in line with what was announced in last yearÂ’s five-year plan.
Fiat Chrysler dumped 40,000 unordered vehicles on dealers
Thu, Nov 14 2019In a move that echoes recent history, Fiat Chrysler has been making more cars and trucks than dealers in the U.S. are willing to accept, with Bloomberg reporting that at one point the automaker had built up a glut of around 40,000 unordered vehicles. That’s led some dealers to accuse FCA of reviving the dreaded “sales bank” accounting practice of obscuring inventory to improve the balance sheet. The company reportedly began building up its inventory of unordered cars this summer despite an industrywide slowdown in sales and an eagerness by some dealers to thin their inventories because rising interest rates are making it more expensive to hold unsold cars. The inventory build-up also coincided with Fiat ChryslerÂ’s efforts to find a merger partner, first with Renault, which fell through, then last monthÂ’s announcement that it will merge with FranceÂ’s PSA Group. FCA denies any such scheme and tells Bloomberg the rising inventory is down to a new predictive analytics system designed to better square supply with demand from dealers that is helping the company save money and narrow the numbers of unsold vehicles. The company recently agreed to pay a $40 million civil penalty to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to settle a complaint that it paid dealers to report fake sales figures over a span of five years. While no one is suggesting that FCA is in dire financial straits — the company saw higher than expected earnings in the third quarter and record profits in North America — the practice has strong historical precedent by Chrysler, which built up bloated inventories in the run-up to its two federal bailouts, in 1980 and 2009. It was also common at GM and Ford during the 2000s, when all three Detroit automakers struggled with excess manufacturing capacity and plummeting sales in the lead-up to the Great Recession. Back in 2012, CFO Magazine wrote about a report that explained automakersÂ’ rationale for the practice and how it works: Say fixed costs for a given factory are $100, and that the factory can make 50 cars. Consumers, however, demand only 10. Under absorption costing, if the company makes all 50 cars, its cost-per-car is $2. If it makes only up to demand, or 10 cars, the cost-per-car is $10. Although each car adds variable costs for steel and other parts, if those costs are low, the company still has an incentive to make more cars to keep the cost-per-car down.
