I'm proud to offer this great looking, excellent running, low mileage, 1st generation Dodge truck! This truck has been garage kept, as you can tell by the original paint, that is not peeling or faded, like most every other truck in this era. I purchased this truck from the original owners son, who is in his sixties. He told me it was his mothers truck and was bought brand new in Arizona. The motor has not been turned up or modified from original specs. This truck is the luxury edition with aftermarket custom bucket seats with built in lumbar. This truck is equipped with front and rear air-bags on the suspension and a flip-over gooseneck hitch that was rarely used. There is no rust, no musty smells inside, no saggy headliner, dash is perfect, no rattles or squeeks, steering is tight and drives good down the road. Transfer case shifts in and out of gear like it should. Transmission shifts smoothly and the overdrive button works like it should. This truck is equipped with 3.73 running gears.
The body does have a couple of small door dings that are barely noticeable and a small ripple on the upper part of the bed on the drivers side. The tailgate has a dent on the top edge and a few scratches inside the bed. Some trim pieces inside the cab have some cracks but is all there. This truck had aftermarket wheels and running boards on it when I bought it, but I put the original ones back on and removed the running boards. I will include the running boards. The winning bidder can choose what set of wheels he prefers. The bed has a retractable cover, but it is not in very good shape. I will add a picture of the engine compartment in a day or two and maybe some of the undercarriage. Power windows, locks, mirrors, A/C, heater, radio, and cruise control all work good.
If you have any questions, let me know, and I will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks for looking!

Dodge bringing revamped Challenger, Charger to Big Apple

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

The 2014 New York Auto Show will be a big one for Dodge, as the brand has announced that refreshed versions of the 2015 Challenger and 2015 Charger will debut at the show. This is a particularly big deal for the two-door Challenger which, visually, has remained unchanged since is burst back onto the scene in 2008 and helped reignite the muscle car wars.
As a sort of hint, this announcement was accompanied by the picture you see above - the Super Bee logo in the Challenger's new instrument cluster. According to Dodge, the New York debut of a new "powertrain combination" - possibly with the high-output Hellcat V8 - will leave enthusiasts "abuzz."
As for the Charger, Dodge is promising a full redesign that should be a significant departure from the blunt, angry looks of the current model. At this point, there's no indication that the Challenger's new powertrain could be fitted to the Charger, although considering how mechanically similar these two vehicles have been, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.

2013 Dodge Dart GT

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

My younger brother bought a Dodge Dart earlier this summer. It's a basic SXT, in Maximum Steel Metallic, with the 2.0-liter engine, a six-speed automatic transmission and not a whole lot else. Unfortunately, at the time, the Dart was one of the few cars in the compact class I'd never driven. I didn't know a lot about it, and therefore, didn't have a lot to say when he bought it. I think the words "based on an Alfa," popped out when I first saw it.
As it turns out, he's grown quite fond of the dark gray sedan, so it was with some degree of enthusiasm that I paid him a visit in this bright-orange Dart GT. I was excited to see what it was about the Dart that he enjoyed so much, despite my tester featuring a different engine, transmission and a lot more tech. After a week with the car, though, I must say: I don't quite see what all the fuss is about.

Dodge not being dropped by Chrysler, CEO reaffirms

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

Dodge isn't going anywhere. Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with TheDetroitBureau.com, explaining that the marque isn't going anywhere. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!"
Dodge's death won't be "a part of a master plan to consolidate brands," Kuniskis told TheDetroitBureau.com. Instead, the brand, which is ultimately under the command of Fiat/Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, will likely ditch some of its badge-engineered models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan. A more focused Dodge, which was something Gilles has already hinted at, will likely see it exploring areas of the market that haven't been exploited by other Chrysler brands.
Kuniskis, not surprisingly, wasn't willing to delve into any detailed product plans, telling TDB that the size of the brand's lineup "remains to be seen." Regardless of how big the brand actually ends up being (it is presently Chrysler's volume brand - and not by a little), hopefully the statements from Kuniskiss can put the rumors of a Dodge closure to bed.
