You are looking at an awesome old Dodge Pick-up that runs but needs some work to finish. Most of the parts are included such as fenders, running boards, chrome pieces, door hardware, rubbers for brake/clutch pedals, etc. There are lots of spare parts that I got with this truck that are included in the sale. The Brakes need fixed and wiring harness replaced. Someone removed the old wiring harness but I have what is left of it (it actually may be complete but is in ratty condition). Anyone that knows these vehicles will know that there is not much wiring involved. They were very simple mechanisms. Engine runs and purs like a well oiled machine. No Odometer...Mileage unknown. I belive this truck originally was a flat bed but has a wooden truck bed on it now. The bed is very well built and has a tailgate. The rear fenders were notched for the wooden stakes and will need brackets made for a good fit. Has a cool "wind out" windshield that is fully functional. Frame is in excellent condition, I belive it to be a 3/4 or 1 ton chassis. This is a very well maintained vehicle for 66 years old. As you can see the truck was repainted at some point but will need touched up. It does have a few scratches from being moved around. This has awesome possibilities to take it back to "original" or to make an awesome street rod. Buyer responsible for pick-up, no delivery or shipping available. No warranty whatsoever. A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.
Ron Burgundy returns for four more Dodge Durango ads
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Dodge has released several more of its Anchorman 2-themed commercials, starring Will Ferrell as inept newsreader Ron Burgundy. The four spots, one of which is a sequel to a previous commercial, follow roughly the same pattern as previous ads, with Ferrell's Burgundy misunderstanding or generally making a fool of himself. For some of the ads, though, Burgundy is selling more than just Durangos - the red-suited host of San Diego's most watched news broadcast shilling the entire Dodge lineup.
We've included all four ads down below, and you can also hope over to our original posts to see some of the older commercials. Oh, and if you're getting tired of these - we aren't, aside from the Do-dge spot - just remember that Ferrell reportedly filmed around 70 ads for Dodge.
