1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible Chrystler Plymouth Rat Hot Rod Vintage Hemi on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, New York, United States
Every so often I have
to let go of one of my projects to make room for something else. By no
means does that mean that this isn't a great car ,or that its not worth a
bucket of cash, because it most definitely is! I have purchased a 1 of 7
car and that will be getting my full attention! This is a Beautiful,
1965 dodge coronet 500 v8 convertible. Going off the vin , this is
quite possibly a 426 max wedge car,but i have not been able to confirm
that. I started a full Rotisserie restoration on this car ,not to long
ago and have gone through the body completely . All of the minor rust
that the car had was taken care of and all of the rough body work as
well. The body is now clean and straight and has been finished off in
epoxy primer to seal in the metal completely . The glass is all in good
shape and the windows roll up and down no problem. The seats are all the
there but will need to be redone as well as the rest of the interior.
The dashboard is complete and all of the gauges ,switches, harnesses etc
are present. The Floor pans, trunk pans, inner quarters, fire wall and all
frame rails are in perfect condition and very strong. All the body
panels are original on this car ,never rotted out since the day it was
born!I have the bumpers and brackets for the car as well. Brakes will
need to be gone through but the front end is tight and all there with a
good solid steering box. As seen in the pics ,the convertible top will
need to be completely done ,but im sure that's no surprise. This car is a
rolling chassis, but i do have a great running 1965/66 440ci motor and a
727 trans that you can purchase separately if you need it. This car is
now a pretty easy restoration and will surely make someone very happy .
HAPPY BIDDING !! Note: the buyer will be completely responsible for all
shipping costs and car must be paid for in full by certified bank check
or cash ,up front before car can be released. I encourage any buyer to
get the vehicle inspected before you purchase it to make sure you are
completely satisfied with it and it is everything you are looking for!
Also, you can text me if you have questions about the car. I will be
happy to answer any questions as long as i do know the answer. MARC

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit prepares to keep Hellcats in line
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Earlier today, Dodge pulled the wraps off its 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat - a 707-horsepower sedan capable of sprinting to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 204 mph. Naturally, the car debuted in a bright shade of pull-me-over red, so it was fitting, then, that Dodge also brought its newly updated 2015 Charger Pursuit to keep everything under control.
No, cops won't be able to spec their Charger cruisers with the 707-hp Hellcat engine (oh man, imagine the chase scenes...), but law enforcement officials will be able to choose from either a 3.6-liter V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, producing 292 hp and 370 hp, respectively. V8 models can be ordered with all-wheel drive, and Dodge estimates that with either engine, the Charger Pursuit can achieve up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode).
Other updates for 2015 include improved braking power, a seven-inch display in the instrument cluster, a five-inch display in the center stack, and a new vehicle systems interface that could make it easier for police squads to install computer and radio equipment.
2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.
Edmunds ranks the best used cars for 2013
Sun, 15 Sep 2013When people ask us what car we would recommend for them, it's usually not easy to answer. To make a useful recommendation we must consider which of the numerous vehicle segments fits their needs best, and then choose one of the many vehicles offered in each segment. For some people, new cars don't meet their expectations of value, because they lose so much of it the moment they are purchased and driven off the dealer lot. For them, there's always the used-car market, where great deals can be found, but cars' histories of reliability and maintenance records - and perhaps that Certified Pre-Owned warranty - become ever-important factors playing into purchase choice.
To help out, Edmunds has done us the favor of assembling a list of the best used vehicles money can buy, covering model years 2006-2011, according to what it considers the most important criteria when shopping for used autos: reliability, safety, value and availability. That means unreliable, unsafe, super-expensive or limited-edition models don't appear on the list, but instead cars from each segment that are more likely to satisfy the general population.
There are some real goodies on the list, including but not limited to vehicles such as the capable Honda Fit, the cultish Honda Accord coupe (which can be had with a 240-horsepower V6 and a six-speed manual transmission some years), and the powerful Chevrolet Corvette. While Edmunds' choice of the Volvo C70 for best used convertible baffled us at first (not that it's a bad car), it redeemed itself by stating that the Mazda MX-5 still is an unofficial top choice if you don't require more than two seats.
