2011 Dodge Charger R/t Max Awd Sedan 4-door 5.7l V8 Hemi on 2040-cars

Make me an offer! I've owned it for about 1 year. I bought it, used, with only 3,148 miles on it (the previous owner was a wealthy middle-aged man whose hobby was trading in his new toy every 2 years for the next brand new toy...in this case, he traded up to a 2014 Challenger SRT8, I gladly took this Charger off his hands for a huge discount.) It only has 19,500~ miles as of this post (ALL HIGHWAY MILES--I am good to this car), but it is my daily driver so the mileage will be increasing as time goes on (I will try to update this listing as often as possible). As I mentioned above, the car is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The black exterior shines like a diamond in the sun and beads water like no car you've ever seen (hopefully a testament to how clean and well I try to maintain it). It has had all it's recommended maintenance, and I've never encountered an issue with it (of course, it's still basically brand new with only 19k on it!) Speaking of highway miles, I am achieving an average of 22-23 MPG during the spring and summer and fall on my commute to/from work. I found that to be VERY impressive for a 5.7L V8. The Cylnder-Deactivation System really does wonders for gas mileage! This car's AWD is also fantastic in the snow--I have the original all-season tires on it, and it still was able to rip through the worst storms of this past winter. I always felt extremely safe--imagine if I actually went out and bought snow tires... I have listed all the options and features that this car has, so please see the lists above. The R/T MAX trim leaves very, very little to be desired. ***ALSO INCLUDED WITH YOUR PURCHASE OF THIS CAR***: I have a few accessories that I will gladly include with your purchase. PLEASE SEE BELOW. -Original OEM Chrome Grill (packaged up nicely and protected in a box...I'm pretty sure it's brand new, and never driven on the car by the previous owner. He gave me this grill for free and I never even opened the box because I like the Black Custom Grill so much!) -3 Already-programmed Electronic Keys (Worth $200+ EACH) -Car Cover for storage and protection against dust and weather -4 Dodge-Charger-specific Weather Tech brand floor mats, front and back (I bought them for the winter, but you will also get the 4 carpet mats, of course) -Extra MOPAR air filter for your first replacement -MOPAR Black touch-up paint for any little spots you may eventually need to fill in -Original owners manuals -Original 2011 Charger sales brochure from the dealership (from the original owner when he custom-ordered this car) Please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask! I am very friendly and willing to speak with you, if you are seriously interested. Thank you for looking at my Charger. It is a very special, powerful expression of modern automotive engineering, and I know you'll cherish it just as well as I do. |

Stellantis is open to putting a gas engine in its EVs to meet demand
Thu, May 2 2024With the EV segment caught in a tug-of-war between market demand and government regulations, carmakers are having to adapt to avoid losing both money and sales. Stellantis is keeping every option on the table, including putting a gasoline engine in its electric models. Natalie Knight, the chief financial officer for Stellantis, made the announcement while presenting the carmaker's first-quarter shipment and revenues results. She cited the Jeep Wagoneer S as an example: Unveiled in January 2024, it will go on sale with an electric powertrain, but the brand hasn't ruled out expanding the lineup with a gasoline-powered model later on, according to Wards Auto. It could be a hybrid, or it might not get any type of electrification. The call will depend on whether there is "a clear demand for that in the market," the executive said. Compare that with comments from new Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa, who has said hybridizing the Wagoneer S isn't in the cards — but making a PHEV version of the all-electric upcoming Recon, however, might be. "I don't want to ignore the fact that we want to stay close to the consumer, and if we see there's an opportunity with those models that we introduced as BEVs first, we'll look into that," Knight said. Stellantis plans to launch 25 new models globally in 2024, and 18 of those will go on sale with electric power. However, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll remain electric-only throughout their production run. The brands that live under the Stellantis umbrella can build a gasoline-powered version of an EV with relative ease because many of the cars in the group's portfolio ride on a multi-energy platform. For example, the new Dodge Charger (pictured) will go on sale with an electric drivetrain later in 2024, but the range will grow with the addition of a 3.0-liter straight-six in 2025. Across the pond, the Jeep Avenger (a small, hatchback-like crossover not designed with our market in mind) was hyped as an all-electric model when it made its debut in 2023, but it quietly gained a gasoline-electric hybrid drivetrain in early 2024. The city-friendly Peugeot 208 is offered with piston or battery power, too. One of the next electric recipients of a gasoline engine might be the new-to-us Fiat 500e. The retro-styled hatchback has exclusively been available as an EV since it went on sale in Europe in 2020, but executives are reportedly looking at turning it into a hybrid due to slow sales.
We're pretty sure the Challenger SRT Demon won't have 1,121 horsepower, but what if?
Fri, Feb 3 2017Dodge's slow rollout of the upcoming Demon continues, and with it comes endless speculation about what it all means. Every video, every image, and every press release contains some clue that points towards the Demon's final specs. We don't think any of it is random or arbitrary. This week cryptic image, a small plate with a name and two numbers, shows us a little more than last week's license plate. Unfortunately, Dodge will neither confirm or deny anything, meaning we have no way of knowing which rabbit hole to go down. Don't expect to see official horsepower, a quarter-mile time, or an MSRP until the New York Auto Show. The plate is attached to the crate of goodies that comes along with every Dodge Demon. This particular one is labeled with three things: Tom Coddington, serial number 0757, and VIN 001121. The name is simple enough. According to Hot Rod, Coddington was one of the original Ramchargers, a group of engineers in the early 1960s that helped Dodge get involved in drag racing. He was a fuel system specialist, motor consultant, and a rotating garage manager. All of that could be clues. While a name is easy enough to Google, the two numbers can't be broken down so easily. The crazier theory is that the car makes 1,121 horsepower and will do the quarter-mile in 7.57 seconds. Frankly, those numbers are about as likely as the Demon actually being powered by a Rolls-Royce turbofan engine from a Boeing 757 or packing a carburetor with 1,121 CFM. The Demon is going to be street legal, and the costs associated with making a 1,121-hp car meet emissions standards alone are assuredly astronomical. As our friends from Road & Track pointed out, the more likely theory is that 757 is actually the horsepower rating. This seems totally plausible, but it means we still don't know what 1,121 means. Surely it's not a drag strip time, as the standard Hellcat will do 1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds. Like before, if you have any ideas, post them in the comments. Until April, we'll keep trying to solve Dodge's demonic puzzle. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Ron Burgundy calls Durango a 'terrible car,' yet his ads help sales climb by 59% [w/videos]
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Ron Burgundy was put on this planet to do one thing: to read the news. If that ever falls through, though, the womanizing, scotch-drinking anchorman could have a great career just as a Dodge salesman. Bloomberg points out that sales of the 2014 Dodge Durango have rocketed up 59 percent in the first month of Chrysler's funny new ad campaign (which began in early October). But then again, the entire year has been strong for the big SUV, with year-over-year sales increases in the double and even triple digit percentages - including an increase of 117 percent in August.
Of course, the Durango has also received a wealth of new content and a freshened look for 2014 in addition to the Burgundy campaign, and that has to be helping close sales, too. Whether or not the spots themselves are leading to more sales may be a moot point, since they are definitely getting plenty of attention. Almost two months into the marketing tie-up between Dodge and the movie Anchorman 2, Dodge's YouTube videos have received well over seven million views. More than just YouTube shorts and television commercials, the Durango has even received late-night attention, including when Will Ferrell showed up in character as Ron Burgundy on Conan earlier this week.
In the interview, he calls the Durango a "terrible car" that "cracked in half," a joke that probably had Dodge ad execs squirming uncomfortably in their Barcaloungers. Scroll down to watch the Conan interview as well as some of our favorite Burgundy-pitched Durango ads. And there's still plenty of time to "touch" Ron to win a new Durango.
