K&N Air Intake System: PCV Catch Can
I am selling my Challenger. I bought it brand new and have loved every minute of it. This car is an excellent balance of sport and function. Unfortunately my family is about to outgrow this car (third one on the way). The Challenger has been well maintained and garage kept. I have documented all my upgrades and mainteance tasks in an excel spreadsheet that I can email to the purchaser. I have mad a few minor upgrades. I have installed a K&N air intake system for a little performance boost. I also installed a PCV catch can right after I purchased the car. If you are not familiar with catch cans, do some research. While it doesn't immediately improve performance it is a big benefit for long term reliability and performance on the hemi engine. The factory dual exhaust is stainless and sounds great. And the 6 speed transmission is a dream. Well under 2000 rpm going 70, that 6th gear is a great fuel economy boost on the highway. I did install a skip shift bypass as well. You can research this, but the stock challenger will force you from 2nd to 4th gear if your RPMs are at a certain point to save fuel. Most people (like myself prefer to have full control of their manual transmission and this bypass keep the 2-4 forcing from happening). This can easily be uninstalled if you prefer. The only flaw is a very light ding on the rear driver side. I will include a picture, but it is so light that I have having a hard time getting it to show up on a picture. Most probably wouldn't mention this flaw, but I want to describe as much as I can as this is my first time selling a car on ebay. I live in Carlsbad NM. The nearest larger airports are Roswell, NM (only flies to Dallas), Hobbs, NM (only flies to Houston). The big ones are Midland, TX and El Paso, TX. Sorry for the information overload. If you want to ship the car I with whatever arrangements and companies you need. If you have any questions please ask. Thanks for your interest.

Chrysler recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs over bad rear axles
Thu, 14 Feb 2013Chrysler has issued a recall of 278,222 light trucks and sport utility vehicles here in the United States. The reason: bad rear axles. Specifically, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rear axle pinion nut may lack a necessary adhesive patch, which could cause the nut to loosen. If this happens, the axle can lock up, which could cause all sorts of havoc on the road.
This is an expansion of the rear axle recall announced in October of last year, where 44,300 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota models were being called in. At that time, 12 accidents had been reported due to the faulty axle pinion nut.
Affected vehicles include Ram 1500 trucks from the 2009 to 2012 model years, Dodge Dakota models from the 2009 to 2011 model years, and both the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUV twins, both from the 2009 model year only.
2013 Dodge Durango R/T
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Not too long ago, Chevrolet got itself into some trouble by throwing the SS badge on just about everything it produced, so I've always been a little hesitant about the seemingly excessive use of the R/T nameplate on Dodge vehicles. For the 2013 model year, every model in Dodge's lineup has an R/T trim level from Dart all the way up to the Durango. Although the R/T name used to signified models made for road and track, I doubt anyone would be delusional enough to assume the Durango - and some of the other models wearing this badge - are suited for any sort of track duty.
Still, when this 2013 Dodge Durango R/T rolled up for me to drive for the week, I couldn't help but take in its big, mean and imposing stance. Sure, if I had my choice of buying any of the Dodge R/T products, the Charger and Challenger would be my top picks for sure, but it's easy to say that the Durango would be a close third - far above the R/T versions of the Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.

MotorWeek remembers a better time for Mitsubishi performance
Fri, Feb 26 2016Dodge still knows how to create an capable performance car – look at the Hellcats, for example – but the same isn't true for Mitsubishi. With the Lancer Evo's demise, we don't expect driving enthusiasts to clamor for any of the Japanese automaker's other products. Things used to be different, though. As MotorWeek found in its new Retro Review, the 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 and its sibling, the Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo, were impressive sports coupes in their day. Dodge and Mitsubishi packed a bevy of cutting-edge tech into the coupes. In these trims, both sported all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, an adjustable suspension, active exhaust, and automatic climate control. The 3000GT VR4 upped the ante even more with active aero parts at the front and rear. Their 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 was good for 300 horsepower and 307 pound-feet, which were good numbers at the time. This pair put all their gizmos to good use, too. MotorWeek compares the all-wheel-drive system's grip levels to a Porsche 911 Carrera 4. When was the last time you heard any favorable similarity between a Mitsubishi and a Porsche? The Stealth R/T Turbo and 3000GT VR4 came from a special time for Japanese sports coupes, when every brand had a halo model. Whether you were looking at Nissan 300ZX, Mazda RX-7, Toyota Supra, or even the Acura NSX, there was a lot to like on the market. MotorWeek's latest Retro Review offers a great reminder of that period.
