Triple Black 1970 Challenger R/T SE Cedar Rapids, Iowa“Not only is this car is fully capable / worthy of setting in a collectors show room but, is for the
“discerning collector” that wants to live the experience not just stare at it”
The first thing that hits you as you walk up to this 1970 Challenger R/T SE is it’s Presence, Rake and the two
Black & Red “power colors “Only 1 in 100 cars will deliver on this. The Black TX9 is very intimidating and the
Red Fe5 Bumblebee Racing Stripe warns you of the sting that this 1970 Challenger R/T SE is capable of delivering.
Dodge had it right when they introduced the Bumblebee Striped Super Track Pack cars.
After you close the super straight doors and sit down inside a cockpit where the timeless good looks of American
muscle meld seamlessly with tasteful upgrades and modern information delivery systems, you are instantly
“teleported” into past memories as you inhale the smell of a new car of yesteryear. Inside, you’ll find the
original black interior dressed up in fresh leather. The door panels are original, seats are new, the carpet is
new, the dash is new, and, well you get the point. The full center console frames the factory Dodge Hi-Performance
“pistol grip” shifter perfectly.
As you wrap your hand around the shifter grip you stare momentarily at the 5 inch Auto Meter Pro-Comp II Tachometer
with its shift light and tattletale. The three well mounted 2-5/16” 270 degree Pro-Comp gauges, all the controls
for the boost pumps, and aux-lighting you find conveniently located just under the dash. Placing your left hand at
the One O’clock position on the black 3-point soft-touch sport steering wheel..., for a moment...., you imagine
yourself accelerating down the local drag strip stirring the gears after an eXplosive launch.
The original 8-track is gone, but there is a Vintage Premium Sony XR Series AM/FM Cassette Stereo radio in its
place. You quickly locate your favorite radio station and immediately realize the premium sound system. Overhead,
a restored info-center consolette finishes off the fighter-cockpit-like instrumentation. Like I said, this is a new
car in every way, and it is as nice as they come and you haven’t even started it.
“Anyone can own a car, anyone can drive a car. But, at the end of the day it is about how the car makes you
feel”
As a dedicated vintage gear-head who sweats BRAD PENN Racing Motor Oil, I offer to you, inve$tment grade “Detroit
Iron” and a first class muscle car that defines the term "muscle car".

3-row Jeep Wrangler, V8 Kaiser ambulance, and more from Mopar for SEMA
Fri, Oct 29 2021SEMA is back this year, and as is tradition, the American Stellantis brands Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Mopar are bringing some truly amazing concepts to the show. The brands have come up with seven vehicles, four from Jeep, two from Ram and one from Dodge. Some of them show off the current Mopar catalog and possible future parts, while others are just really cool customs. Let's check them out. Jeep Wrangler Overlook Jeep Wrangler Overlook concept View 8 Photos We're starting off with perhaps the most interesting of the concepts on display, the Jeep Wrangler Overlook. And you'll notice right off the bat that it's longer than your average Wrangler Unlimited. It's actually a full foot longer. And it doesn't just add cargo space, it adds passenger space. There's a third row of seats in the Overlook. Those seats also necessitated the safari-style custom rear roof. It's 5 inches taller than a regular Wrangler roof to provide headroom for rear occupants. It also made room for the extra windows. Front passengers also get a fancy single-piece roof section with a pop-up glass section, and the interior features black leather and bronze accents. Other body changes include a custom hood, a narrower front bumper for improved approach angle and a widened rear bumper to protect the longer tail. It also gets custom front bumper lights, Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) A-pillar lights and tubular side steps. The Overlook also rides on the Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) 2-inch lift kit with Fox shocks and 20-inch wheels with 37-inch tires. We wouldn't have thought a three-row Wrangler would be something that would reach production, and it's still unlikely. But, this looks really good. And when Land Rover already offers a third row in the Defender, and is working on a stretched version, we're starting to wonder if Jeep should think about an even more stretched Wrangler. Kaiser Jeep M725 Kaiser Jeep M725 concept View 11 Photos Next up is this year's resto-mod from the Stellantis crew. They found an old Kaiser Jeep M725 military ambulance and did a few things to make it a more modern, go-anywhere super tailgater. Under the hood is a 485-horsepower 6.4-liter V8 paired to an old-school TorqueFlight 727 automatic transmission, shifted by a B&M shifter housed in a repurposed ammunition box. It's still four-wheel drive and has the old axles, but they're attached via a coil-spring suspension instead of the original leaf packs.
Fiat Chrysler's profit boosted by Ram and Jeep in North America
Wed, Jul 31 2019MILAN/DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler took the market by surprise by sticking to its full-year profit guidance on Wednesday after a strong performance from its Ram pickup truck in North America helped it defy an industry slowdown. Chief Executive Mike Manley, in FCA's first earnings release since a failed attempt to merge with France's Renault, also left the door open to that or other deals. "We are open to opportunity," Manley said on a call with analysts. "I have no doubt why there still would be interest in it," he added, when pressed on what it would take to revive talks with Renault. Manley declined to comment further. FCA last month abandoned its $35 billion merger offer for Renault, blaming French politics for scuttling what would have been a landmark deal to create the world's third-biggest automaker. Manley said a merger was not a must-have and Fiat Chrysler's business plan was strong. The company said it remained confident its adjusted earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) would top last year's 6.7 billion euros ($7.5 billion). Given disappointing forecasts from other automakers this earnings season, FCA's confirmation of the outlook sent Milan-listed shares in the Italian-American automaker, whose other brands include Jeep, up over 4%. A broad-based auto sales downturn has rattled the sector, forcing FCA's competitors — including Renault, Daimler and Aston Martin — to cut their sales forecasts after second-quarter results, while U.S. carmaker Ford gave a weaker-than-expected 2019 profit outlook. Japan's Nissan, a long-term partner of Renault, said it would cut 12,500 jobs by 2023 after its earnings collapsed. In the second quarter FCA's adjusted EBIT totaled 1.52 billion euros, versus analysts' expectations of 1.43 billion euros, according to a Reuters poll. FCA's U.S. shipments were down 12% in the second quarter but the group said that the successful performance of its Ram brand resulted in an enhanced share of the large pickup truck market of 27.9%, up 7 percentage points from last year. Adjusted EBIT margin in North America rose to 8.9% from 6.5% in the first quarter, thanks to strong demand for the heavy-duty Ram and the new Jeep Gladiator pickup. Chief Financial Officer Richard Palmer also said FCA expected to report up to 10% margins in the region in both the third and fourth quarters.
Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?
Sun, 20 Jul 2014With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...
