1977 Datsun 280z 5sp With 30,600 Original Miles on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, Michigan, United States
Awesome! 1977 Datsun 280z with 30,700 original miles. I purchased this vehicle from a family that has been the original owners since the car was new. I have a lot of documentation and receipts for the car. It is a 2.8 straight six cylinder fuel injected motor with 170 horsepower and a 5 speed manual transmission. The car runs great and is fun to drive. I was told that the car spent most of its life in Arizona and Florida. I put a paint job on it last September 2013, it had no rust, but was faded and had some small dents. Car was originally rust proofed (tuff coat dynol) and is as solid a Datsun 280z you will find anywhere. I also installed a dash cover, wood steering wheel (have original), Ralley clock(rare), new tires, Konieg rewind wheels and Kenwood stereo with quality boxed speakers. Comes with car cover for storage. These cars are getting harder to find and continue to go up in value. Car is being sold as is and all sales are final. If you are a serious buyer, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I can be reached at 517-918 1645 (7a-4p) or 517-467-4641 (otherwise). You will NOT find a nicer Datsun 280z.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
Datsun debuts new seven-seat Go+ in Indonesia [w/video]
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The Datsun name may have long since been replaced by Nissan, but the old brand is making a comeback - in certain markets, at least. Nissan relaunched the Datsun brand in July as its new budget brand for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback, and has now followed up with the addition of the larger Go+.
Set to be built in Indonesia at Nissan's plant in Purwakarta, the Go+ debuts today in the capital of Jakarta as the second model in the new Datsun lineup. The seven-passenger minivan features flexible seating in a compact form 13 feet long, powered by an unspecified 1.2-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Nissan isn't saying much else about the model, but hopes the new Datsun twins will account for half of its sales in Indonesia within three years. The low price target for both models - set to come in at less than 100 million rupiah ($8,700) - ought to help it get there. The lineup is then scheduled to reach other markets, starting with India, Russia and South Africa next year.
