The time has come to replace this project with another Nissan, as much as I loved this car I want to get something a bit more comfy.
I'm willing to sell this car as a whole the way it sits or part everything out.
I'll try to be as detailed as possible, no bullshiting around.
Its a 1974 260z with molded in flares and built sr20det swap. Last time i had the car dynoed it put down 418whp on dyno dynamics and that was only at 20psi. The hot side is a bit small and adding boost did nothing for us.
What the car needs:

Paint and body:
Its painted BMW titanium silver now, but there are some rust spots now. One of the rear flares has some damage, nothing that cant be easily fixed by a body shop. rear hatch has some cracks around the lock and lock itself is broken. Shes been sitting in a garage for about a year and key has gone missing. Last time i drove the car was early 2012 before i started removing all interior tar/sound deadening which is mostly gone now.
Rails were redone by Vinny from destruction warehouse.
She really needs paint to shine again =)

Interior:
I removed 99% of 40 year old sound deadening, so I don't have the carpet as I was planning on replacing it with a new one.
I have 350z black cloth seats that were in the car before.
Dash was made out of aluminum by autowerks. I don't have a rollbar anymore that might be on some of the pictures. Heater works but there is no a/c

Motor:
Everything works, but I dont have aem ems anymore, so the car doesnt have ems at all(this is why I lowered the price from previous price of 8k).
There is a good deal on series 2 ems on zilvia website in electronics sections, 899 for a brand new one.
With ems and base map installed You can just drive off from my driveway, it would take less then 20 minutes to install it.
It basically has new motor that isnt even broken in yet, about 200 miles on the bottom end and maybe a 1000 on most other things. Motor was build by Project X Customs
Tune was done by ILL garage.

Wheels are made by English company Home Page - Revolution Competition Wheels
I emailed them to get some more info and I was told that these are discontinued for quite a long time now, have magnesium centers and are very rare these days. In past 3 years Ive only seen one other set for sale and one set on Adam Carollas Datsun - Adam Carolla's Garage Photo Gallery - Autoblog
They were re finished by wheels of america 2 years ago, which included new powder coat and polish but since the car has been sitting they need a re-polish.
They are 3 piece. 15x8 front and 15x9 rear, zero offset from what I know.

37K miles in a 1967 Datsun Roadster

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.

First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.

Datsun reveals new On-Do budget sedan in Russia [w/video]

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

When Nissan revived the Datsun brand name, it essentially hit the "undo" button on the rebranding it undertook decades ago. But this time, the Datsun name is being used solely as a budget brand for developing markets. The reborn marque launched in India this past July with its Go hatchback, returned in September with the Go+ minivan and revealed the Redi-Go concept just last month. And now it's back again with the new On-Do sedan.
Launched in Moscow by CEO Carlos Ghosn, the On-Do was designed and engineered in Japan specifically for the Russian market - Nissan's fifth largest worldwide - where it will be built at the AvtoVaz plant in Togliatti. Decidedly budget-oriented, the Datsun On-Do is a four-door, five-seat econo-box measuring 172 inches long, 67 inches wide and 60 inches tall with an 18.7 cubic-foot trunk which Datsun describes as class-leading. Punctuating an otherwise bland shape is a large front grille and lighting front and rear that looks (and very well might be) bigger than the wheels.
Not that the Datsun On-Do needs a big contact patch to transfer power to the road: motivation is provided by a 1.6-liter engine with a grand total of - wait for it... wait a little longer - 87 horsepower. Which might strike you as a reasonable amount of muscle, considering the 400,000 rubles Datsun is getting for the On-Do (but consider that translates to about $11,300). That's a couple grand more than what Nissan gets for the Micra in that other giant northern country, or about the same amount it gets for the Versa in the US (which sells in Russia for 499k in rubles) - both of which are powered by what is in all likelihood the same 1.6-liter four but producing 109 hp. Of course Russia has different tax rates than the United States or Canada, but with such little power, the Datsun would fall into Russia's lowest tax bracket.
